"Danbury Massillon is a great place. The people here, the staff, volunteers, the assistants are very, very helpful and very caring. It's got a lot of entertainment and things that help the people here. The food is great and the service is tremendous. I live in an efficiency apartment. It's got its own bathroom. It's very nice. They have people that come in and keep it clean. Once a week, they get your laundry done. They have different floor plans. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments. They have groups that come in and play. They have a movie theater. They have just about anything you can think of. They take people out to various restaurants in the community. They have entertainment for family members. I've stayed at another place before here and this place is absolutely number one. The medical staff and the volunteers all care very, very much about the people here. They give you opportunities to have two different meals for every meal. If you don't like what they're serving, you can ask them for other things and they'll give it to you. I like shrimp and they give shrimp on a regular basis. I love it. It's in a small area outside of Massillon, Ohio. It is a beautiful facility with all the flowers and everything around it, and they keep the place immaculately clean. It is a beautiful location. Everything's really nice."

"When we went to visit Brookdale Alliance, I saw some residents playing cards. There were some playing music. There were also some people outside enjoying the weather. "

"I had an in-person tour of Stone Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the fact that residents were easily accessible by staff, and the ratio of staff to residents was good. The whole facility looked clean and smelled good. The price was kind of between most of the other places. I think it was a little high, but not excessively. The presenter there was really good. She did a nice job. They have overall cleanliness. The fact that they were prepared, and gave us a copy of activities, menu, and the whole works. Not a scientific way of saying it, but we had some good vibes there."

"The staff at was very professional, and it was a very nice facility. The dining area was very clean. They had a beauty salon and they also had excursions for the people to go on field trips, which were very nice. Everybody I spoke to was very friendly and very helpful."

"My grandmother has been at Danbury Tallmadge since January 2023. The memory care area is amazing. The residents have their own private rooms to make it more homey. There are appropriate activities for everyone to enjoy. The food is great and there are options to satisfy everyone. They put in a lot of time and thought to celebrate holidays and celebrations with decorations and menus. There has been some turnover but that is typical in the industry. The nurses and aides are wonderful. They have gotten to know my grandmother- her likes and dislikes and they are kind and compassionate. Our family is grateful for the enrichment Danbury has provided."

"The rooms are lovely. My Mom has plenty of room with a large bathroom. The facility is clean and feels like home. The residents are in a safe environment. The staff is very caring and responds quickly when needed. My Mom loves it!"

"Everyone was incredibly kind. It felt more like visiting a luxurious hotel rather than an assisted living facility. The caretakers treated each other and the residents like family. The facility provided tons of activities for the residents and their families. It was a great experience. "

"Mulberry Gardens Senior Living was very nice. I just think that it is out of my budget. Their food was excellent. I would go there just for the food. It was nice and clean. They also provide transportation. It was like going to a 5-star restaurant. They put linens on the tables and use glass dishes. They serve you, and the food was good. They had a schedule of activities and the apartments were very nice. They have amenities like an activity room, they have entertainment come in sometimes, and they have a piano in the dining room. Overall, the facility was well-maintained, it's excellent. The layout of the apartments was also ready to move in, they all have a kitchenette, there's no oven but there are a few cupboards and a sink. They were very clean and nice, and they'd put new carpet in, but it wasn't like plush carpets. I was impressed that all the staff was promoting the place saying how nice it was. They sent a driver to pick me up and take me there, and he also talked about how nice it was."

"Regent of Stow was a nice place I would consider acceptable. They have good staff there. They have a good facility. They have a doctor and nurses that they employ. They have a movie theater and a nice dining hall. They play bingo, and they have recreational activities. The place seemed clean. We were there around lunchtime and people were being served. What I saw on the table looked all right, but we didn't have a chance to sample any of it. The staff during the tour was very nice and pleasant. She's a nurse and one of the management people there."

"Maplewood, Mom’s home. Mom had Alzheimer’s so it was just a matter of time before she would need more help than we (my sister and I) could provide. So we began our search. Four places in the local area met our criteria, but Maplewood showed us a whole nother level of living for Mom. From our first, emotional visit, we were assured and supported and helped along the way. The admission process was seamless. We were able to move Mom’s personal, important things into her apartment and get it set up just right. I stayed with her that first night and for the next almost-three years enjoyed hanging out at Mom’s place. My sister, being local, visited almost daily, and I, driving in from Dayton enjoyed many weekends at Maplewood. Attention to each resident's specific needs and safety, unique as individuals, as well as in their care are always a priority. Enrichment activities abound! The residents feel a sense of purpose, make friends, laugh, sing, dance, travel locally and experience the joys of living to the best of their abilities. Mom was very particular about her appearance, her nickname, “Hollywood” confirms this. So, the beauty parlor was very important to her, as was being well dressed, including pearls and her purse. The staff facilitated this, as things changed, and she was always proud of the way she looked. Communication was paramount, and we always felt involved and informed in the best of times and the worst of times. When we made the transition between Tides and Currents it was seamless and caring and perfect. All of her needs, as she declined, were lovingly taken care of; and when the time came for Mom to leave us, we were supported in such indescribably heartfelt ways. From our first visit we knew Maplewood was a special place. We knew the staff was trained and valued, but more importantly, serving with passion. We knew the residents were loved, cared for, and special, but more importantly, they are really wonderful people. When folks ask us about Maplewood we can't stop talking. We rave about everything and everyone; from the facility to the staff to the amenities to the philosophy to the activities and the food. Everyone, truly every staff member stands out as amazing models of caring, professional, dedicated, going-beyond-the-call-of-duty, passion-driven caregivers; and their dedication is palpable in everything they do. When looking for the best place in a difficult time, Maplewood stands out as an oasis of love and care. Truly a home for Mom."

The rooms I saw were pretty much empty, so it's kind of hard to see what they'd be like when they're full of items, but they were very pleasant and roomy, and I liked them all. I know I didn't see anything I didn't like. The staff was very nice, very friendly, had a lot of information, and answered all my questions. They spent a lot of time talking to me. It went well. They showed me the dining area, and they gave me a treat. It was landscaped very nicely, and everything was very clean inside."
