To me, she's just tops and she's super nice. She shows up on time regularly, too. The only problem she ever had was when she got sick one time, so she couldn't come. Otherwise, she's always on time. She's always nicely groomed and always cheerful. It's nice to have a caring person like her in this time of COVID."

"In my case, I wanted someone to be with my mother primarily so I could 1-go shopping early one day a week, 2-work on a project in another part of the house without needing to stop and take care of my mom’s needs, and 3-have extra coverage while I was on vacation. My expectations of the caregiver were sometimes to assist mom with bathing and dressing as well as toileting, and to give pre-sorted meds, but also to interact with and engage my mother in activities which she enjoys. She also has needed supervision in ongoing physical therapy exercises. There were a few communication issues at first with the agency in understanding what was expected of each other. There has so far only been 1 time when the caregiver didn’t arrive on time. I haven’t personally interacted with all the caregivers who have taken shifts while I’m on vacation, but interactions that I did have were all satisfactory. The agency has worked diligently to get all the shifts covered that I needed - few hours in morning and few hours in evening."

" This was our family's first experience with a hired caregiver. Our dad had a fall and became bedbound. My anxiety about leaving him to go to work was immediately relieved when I found out that Home Instead caregivers were really well trained in almost any aspect of medical care for a 90-year-old. His needs were fairly extreme physically and even choosing the tiny amounts of food he would accept required a lot of flexibility and willingness to follow his wishes. Let me say that Dad was himself very happy with his caregivers, looking forward to their visits. He was completely clear and oriented the whole 14 weeks that we had caregivers from eight hours a day to more than 17. He in his bed were always kept very clean as well as the rest of the house. I had no concerns about security or privacy. The real reason for this review is that every one of the people who came to our house was compassionate, attentive, and willing to listen to our stories, as Dad was on hospice and we knew that we were in the last days of having him with us. The caregivers worked great with the hospice workers and there is no question that Dad had the best experience possible at the end of his life. We would recommend Home Instead without any reservations. Thanks to Rob, Jonathan and Diana, who were completely attentive through a lot of ups and downs and never failed to meet our needs."
