Heritage Villas has a system there that's different from the other assisted care facilities. However, it did not fit the bill for my mother. It looked like you were pulling up to a condo; it looked beautiful on the outside. They have a series of condos that hold ten people, but then the way it's run, it's almost like a group home and not an assisted living facility. They have like one person on a shift at a time that's doing everything, like maintaining the rooms, cooking, and everything. And the buildings weren't that great inside. The price was really, really good, but for my mother's age and what she needed, it felt more like they're living in independent living, and you just want somebody that was going to cook for them to make their meals. They're very nice people, but I felt like if something were to happen it could be a while before anybody even found them.

My mom will move into Heritage Villas. I like it. I like that the caregiver on duty makes homemade food for them. They don't eat like Meals on Wheels or something like that. The room that we chose for my mom is nice. I like the room that we got for her. It's a big enough room. It's got a walk-in closet, a nice-sized bathroom, and her own little patio right outside her door. There are two windows and then a door on one wall. The other room that they showed only had one window. They're going to be doing their laundry and they're going to be doing their medication. What I liked about it was that they also have a doctor right on campus who comes in every Wednesday, and the pharmacy on campus takes care of all their medications. So that's a no-brainer there. I also like that there's somebody there 24/7. They have two big, long tables in their dining area for people to sit down and eat. The kitchen area was a nice size. They had tables all dressed up with placemats and flower arrangements, and it was nice.

I toured Heritage Villas. What I like best about it is the location, and the part I didn't like was the size of the apartment. The staff was excellent, very informative, and very friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming.

We like Heritage Villas. It fits our price range, and it feels like a home rather than a facility. Those are the main reasons. It was built like a house. You feel like you're at your own house. It's in a neighborhood, so it feels like you're not in a facility building, but you're in a house, which is a lot nicer than other places. I just like the setup and how it felt. The person who toured us was very friendly. I didn't get to look at the menu, but they have a person who cooks meals for each house, so I like that idea. And the kitchen looked like a normal kitchen, it didn't look like a facility, so I like that setup, too.

We are leaning towards Heritage Villas for my parents. We were very pleased with the people we worked with, especially Stephanie. We liked their kind of non-traditional style for assisted living. Instead of like a hospital feel, it felt more like a home. The room was nice because it had an attached bath. They had a bus that would do day trips multiple times a month. They just showed us the community center. It was a decent size, but it could use a little bit of maintenance.

My mom will be moving into Heritage Villas. It looked very nice. Stephanie was very knowledgeable, very caring, and very nice. We were taken to one of the villas and shown the room that she will have. It was like a house with a big living room, a kitchen, and an eating area. The residents were allowed access to the kitchen. They would provide 3 meals a day and snacks. All the residents of the villa met in the dining area, which was just like a regular house dining room. There was a community shower, so they just used that one shower, but all the rooms had their own private bathrooms. There was a nice patio that was enclosed with a lot of greenery around, bushes, and trees, so we didn't have to worry about her wandering.

When we first moved our mother into the villas I felt like some of the other reviews, Very pleased. But we moved my mom out after two months. Multiple medication errors occurred with my mom and others in the villa. Linens rarely changed, room rarely cleaned. Found staff sleeping during their shirt. One night shift aid left before the day shift arrived and there was no supervision in the house for atleast an hour. Some staff extremely rude. One sat on the floor then hopped up on the counter. Blared rap music during meals. We tried working with adminstration and one administrator is trying to make things better but things did not change. Aids do not appear to have any training and are constantly on their phones. Many aids never washed their hands before serving meals which usually consisted of frozen food and lunch meat sandwiches. I do not recommend this facility and they raised their prices so it is no longer less expensive than other facilities in the area.

I did a tour of Heritage Villas. The people there were very nice. The facility is a little bit dated. I like the idea that they have their buildings divided up and you have a person in each building all the time. The people who are in there are probably getting pretty consistent care when they need it more than some other facilities. So, I can see the advantage of that. I saw the dining area and we talked about each meal being home-cooked as it was coming up. The size of the room is fine. Their bathrooms are a little small. My wife's in a wheelchair, and for someone in a wheelchair, it's a little bit tougher. They have sitting rooms and a TV. I saw people walking with help. I think the people there are being taken care of pretty well. The ones that I talked to were very nice. They took good care of me, and it looked like they were taking good care of the patients too. One thing I would do would be to make the bathrooms bigger. For someone who's ambulant and can walk, they're probably fine. But if the person needs help in any way, whether with a wheelchair or walker or something like that, it's a little harder for a person to use the facilities there. Other than that, everything's fine.

Heritage Villas is one of the best communities I've seen as far as for the elderly. The staff is attentive. They're always there. Everybody is very friendly. The transition into the facility was unbelievable. I couldn't have asked for a smoother transition. My father lives in a room there. It's just one room with a full bath in it and a nice walk-in closet, and it's got all the furniture in there that we need. It's very clean. Value for money so far has been excellent. They have a community center right on the property. They have a dining room and it comfortably seats 12. My father likes the food. It's spotless.

Heritage Villas was more like a little village with different houses. They had numerous housing facilities with fewer people in them, which we thought looked like a pretty good design. I liked the smaller size and that it's not so much like a hospital setting. It was a nice and very homey community. I thought the tour lady was great and very accommodating.

My mother-in-law goes to Heritage Villas for respite. We liked it. It's set up more like individual homes. So there are only a few people in each home, and each room has its own bathroom. So they're like little suites, and then they have a living room and a dining room, and a kitchen. We were very pleased. The only thing that we weren't pleased with the first time was they did not appear to shower her. And when we asked them about it, they said they asked her and she said no, and we informed them that she says no every time. She's a dementia patient, she says no to everything. So that was the only thing we wanted to make sure that she gets her showers when she's there. I do know that they told us that our mother went and played bingo. I know they have different activities. I think they have a happy hour. I don't know all of the activities since she's not a permanent resident there, but there's a fellowship hall or a gathering hall where they do things. There's a nice gazebo outside where they can sit and visit. There's somebody who cooks in each house for that individual house. So it's like home-cooked food and then everybody in that house eats at the kitchen table at the same time.

I toured Heritage Villas yesterday. It's a different kind of facility compared to the others. It's more of a group home. It's set up like a house, they have a common dining room, and then people have their own rooms. It's like a house setting and you would live with three or four other people depending on what's happening there, but it's not what I'm looking for for my aunt and uncle. It looked very interesting perhaps for my father because it's a smaller community, and they have a lot of veterans there (which my father would fit right in). It's not something for my aunt and uncle, but definitely a nice facility for my father. They have staff that stay there as a home and they are the housekeeper or the cook, so it's different, but very nice. The layout was different. It didn't look like they had a lot outside. They have a small porch out front, and they have places where you could walk around, but I didn't see a patio or anything like that. They have a new owner and they're in the middle of rehabbing things. They have a facility that's not finished yet, so they're upgrading things there. I spoke to residents there, and they're very happy.

The staff at Heritage Villas was very nice. We came in right at their busy time, which was lunchtime. We saw them eating, and it seemed like the staff was very attentive to everybody's needs. It's a very nice facility. It was two floors, but they're set up like cottages or something like that, so I was kind of worried for my mom. They said they have carts to kind of bring you to the rooms or other socials. There was like a social house that was just down the street where more people gather. Price was pretty good there, too. They had one or two nurses that stay there 24 hours. There weren't that many residents there, so that was nice. The only drawback was they were set up in cottages. They had, I believe, 10 residents or so in each one of the facilities. The cottages were nice. I believe there are three rooms per floor and then one big common area on each floor. It becomes another room for them, which made it bigger. They had a library, games, and a sitting area. They had all that stuff for activities.

I toured Heritage Villas. The staff was friendly. I only saw one aide, the owner, and the lady that was bringing us around to see the rooms. They were friendly. The lady seemed to be doing her job well. The facility itself was very well done. It has just been newly redone with new furniture and new carpeting. It's very nice so far as the building itself. There are several buildings thus it being called villas. They have average-sized houses; they're like houses set in a community. You only have maybe half a dozen people in one building. It is in very nice condition and has a very home-like environment. The rooms' sizes are good. They are spacious. There are different sizes, but even the smallest one was a nice size room. They have activities. They also have a trip on their bus to Wal-Mart. We felt very comfortable there, and they helped us feel confident that they could care for my relative. They were reassuring.

Heritage Villas was wonderful. It really was wonderful, very nice, and very forthcoming with answering questions. It was a nice experience under the circumstances. It's fabulous and very, very comforting. Most of the amenities, he won't be able to use, but it's really nice. The rooms were what I dreamed of. It couldn't be any more perfect.

I went to Heritage Villas. I liked everything about it. I liked the fact that their one bedroom, one bath units were roomy enough to hold our furniture. I have a queen-size bed with a big scalloped headboard that has a nightstand to go to, where the scallops go past the bed. So it's a nice one size bedroom, and then the living room is roomy, the bathroom and the shower are handicap available. They have a common dining area, they have activities, they have on property management, and each building has its own aid, so that's pretty much everything I was looking for. The day I went there, both the owner and the girl, I thought the girl was new, she was very friendly, and very helpful. Any question she couldn't answer, the owner, his name is Nathan, and they were both very helpful. I had provided them with my current budget. It's about max what they would charge. I think it's about $2,000 a month less if just my wife goes, and they said they would work with me and make the units available that would be within my budget. So they were very friendly, very helpful. They do all the cooking, they have meals each day, and I assume they have snacks somewhere, but I didn't get into that. I had planned to go back for another visit with my wife and my daughter, and I've made a list of a few questions I wanted to ask them. They had a patio with a grill on it and somewhere to sit. They have a sitting room right off of the patio with a large screen TV where I assume that the residents gather and they can watch TV, and on a nice day they can go sit out on the patio.

This is a Group home type facility that advertises that they are capable and knowledgeable about Memory Care. It's far from the truth. The staff has minimal training on Dementia/Alzheimers. There is zero productive or therapeutic help for the patient or family. They also have a lot of staff turnover. Unfortunately, it was all we could afford for our family member at the time and we are relieved she no longer lives there. It's a very depressing place to live or visit. I rated Activities a little better, because their Activities Director was kind and helpful. He cared a lot about the program.

We saw a small villa at Heritage Villas. They have a live-in aide that helps with laundry and they have home cooking. It was a very clean place with a very friendly, small group of people. They were very accommodating to us and showed us different types of rooms. It was a good experience. We toured the assisted living. The dining area was small. All we saw was the cooking of the food, we didn't get to taste any of it or anything like that. It had one big table and it had several chairs. I think they all, those that can come there for meals together as a community. We saw a laundry room and the aide was busy doing individual loads for each resident there. We didn't see activities because it was late afternoon so they were preparing dinner. They were renovating some of the rooms and they had some of their villas shut down as well for a complete renovation. They were trying to upgrade everything so it looked very nice with new carpet and new flooring for the showers. The showers were also new.

We toured the memory care area of Heritage Villas. It's got a great concept, but it's just not for our mom. You're kind of housed in a unit with one caregiver who lives there, and to go crafting or go see entertainment, you have to go to the community building, they pick you up in the golf cart, and that's just not a good situation for our mom. The staff and the apartments were fine, though, and the facility itself was very nice. The apartments were furnished or you could bring your own furniture. It's in a good location, and they have someone that comes in to do your hair. They had a kitchen and they prepare the foods right there in the kitchen for the residents.

Heritage Villas is a smaller facility, so you get more individual attention. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the rooms were nice, clean, and adequatly sized. The dining area was family style. They take trips out to different places.

Heritage Villas was like a house where they all meet for dinner. The staff was very nice. I only met one person during my visit, and he showed me around. This place was like a group home set up.

The staff at Heritage Villas was OK. I like the way the actual facility was structured. My grandfather basically lived in what kind of looks like a big bed and breakfast. He has a large room in that building. He gets to come down for breakfast in the same building. He shares it with like nine or ten other people. They had individual buildings, and each building has so many people in it, so it is not like this big massive thing with a big cafeteria. It was a little homier. The food was great. He loves the food and the dining setup. It is not a huge dining room and more like a bed and breakfast type of dining room. They have a few that happen locally like some card games and bingo. The other thing they are very good about is they have stuff scheduled every day of the week that takes them to do things.
