The staff were so friendly and amber helped us through the difficult process. After being there for a little bit now my mother has nothing but great things to say about the food and the compassion that she is showed by everyone that is there to help. If you are looking for a place that will care for your loved one the way you would, I would highly recommend the sanctuary."

"We toured here and it was a good experience. The people were very nice. They answered our questions. The rooms and apartments were fine. They had all kinds of activities for people like bingo, but my mom would not want to do any of those. What I liked the most about it was probably the homey atmosphere. It was a smaller facility."

"We had a tour at Danbury in Alliance. They were a total non-smoking facility, and my brother smokes. That was probably the biggest issue, plus the price. "

"It is very nice and I would recommend it. I didn't think I was going to be able to stay here that's why I was searching around. The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. They have plenty of activities. "

"We chose Gables of KentRidge for my mom. The atmosphere is kind of a hotel lobby; very comfy and carpeted. The dining area is outstanding and looks like a 4-star restaurant. The food is wonderful, and the cook is amazing. All of the food is excellent and visitors are welcome to eat any meal with them any time, which is encouraging and great. My mom is in the memory care, which is a secured and lockdown unit, so I don't have to worry about her wandering off. The nurses have been very good with communication so far. My mom seems to be thriving, so her transition has been really good. She has actually gained two pounds since moving in, which is unusual for Alzheimer's. They have private rooms, but Mom has a shared room. She doesn't currently have a roommate though. It's a little more economical. They have activities and bring in someone to play music. They'll take the memory care out to do activities with the rest of the community and sometimes they have people who come in and do things privately for the memory care. They also have areas outside where they can do minor crafts."

"I visited Mulberry Gardens Senior Living. Everything is assisted living there, and it was gorgeous. I liked everything about it. The people were super nice and helpful, and there was a lot of space. The rooms were also beautiful and very spacious. I saw their dining area, and it was also very spacious, especially for people in wheelchairs. The staff who assisted me was wonderful. Some people were doing activities like crafts. They also had porches outside where they could sit and enjoy the weather. Anybody who goes there would love it."

"The facilities are phenomenal… clean ..uplifting and bright! The staff was friendly and caring. The rooms are well thought out As well as the sitting areas throughout the facility. Morgan who gave us our tour was so personable and answer our questions so professionally as well as Kimberly. I would live in this facility which made our decision so much easier to choose for our loved one. "

"We visited Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. They had a very nice respite program that we might do. It's a new place, so it's very clean and lovely. The staff was very accommodating. In the dining area, there were four at a table. It was spread out for Covid, but it was fine. They had a barbershop, a beauty shop, and you can drink coffee all day. It's very nice, but with this Covid, everything is restricted."

"Regent of Stow was a nice place I would consider acceptable. They have good staff there. They have a good facility. They have a doctor and nurses that they employ. They have a movie theater and a nice dining hall. They play bingo, and they have recreational activities. The place seemed clean. We were there around lunchtime and people were being served. What I saw on the table looked all right, but we didn't have a chance to sample any of it. The staff during the tour was very nice and pleasant. She's a nurse and one of the management people there."

"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"Hudson Grande Senior Living was the place that my mother-in-law was going to go until she took a turn for the worst. It's very clean and very nice. The atmosphere inside is very comfortable. The layout is really wonderful because you can just keep walking in a circle if you need to. We picked a room on both sides, because at that point, we didn't know which side she was going to be on. The people there were wonderful. They answer you back right away if you call. They're very efficient on everything that they did. Everybody we worked with was all very knowledgeable and on top of everything. They kept up with us all the time. They got back to us with everything. It was really nice. The food smelled good, and it looked good. They had an enormous choice of things for them to do there. It was just amazing how many things they had going on, with all the craft things they were doing with people, and exercising."

"I went to visit Vista Veranda. They showed us the lunchroom area and the general living area where the TV and chairs are for all the residents to socialize together. They showed me an example of one of the apartment rooms there that had the living space and bathroom for the individual resident. We basically had one of the head nurses interview my dad just to do an evaluation on him and what his level of need was. That was pretty much the tour. The staff was very polite, very nice, and very informative. I thought it had a very good layout. The memory care unit had locked doors and I thought it was clean and it was nice. We wanted to go there, but for whatever reason they didn't want him there. They have private rooms, they have varied menus, and they have an activity calendar for the residents. They say that they take the residents on trips to restaurants, trips to shopping, and activities that come in like church and singing and things like that. They have an onsite physical therapy and an onsite hairdresser."

"My sister-in-law is at Amherst Meadows, and it's been a very positive experience with them. The place is very clean and well taken care of. The nurses are always available on short notice to help if the residents need help. Her room has a small living room, a small bedroom, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, a small refrigerator, a cupboard space, some storage, a closet-like area to hang your clothes up, and you can put some storage in there too. In the bathroom, there's also some storage where you can put your towels and things, and another closet in the bedroom. They have bingo, exercises in the wheelchair targeting their arms, social evenings, and game nights. They have a courtyard and then they have where somebody comes in and does their nails, and hair, and fixes it up for them. "
