"I just visited. It was OK. The rooms were clean and nice. It was not really big, but it was OK. The security and safety is OK because I didn't see anything wrong with the place. Nothing stood out about the place. I wasn't set on going there anyway. One guy told me that you had to pay for everything there. I don't know, but he wasn't too happy. "

"We picked Heritage Crossing because my sister and I did some research and this facility just seems like it would fit my mom's needs. The people were very helpful. The last place that she was in was going to charge my mom for an entire month's stay, but Heritage Crossing said that they would take care of it for us, so that was big. The people here are very friendly. So far, we're very pleased. We're able to go visit my mom outside for now while the weather is warm enough, and they're very cooperative about that. They're supposedly using all the measures possible to protect against the COVID-19 virus. She says that the food is good. So far, they have activities two days a week. My mom has been enjoying them and it got to a point where she's interested in the activities."

"I have found the support and services at Storypoint to be excellent. Although they have struggled with staff due to the pandemic as well as post pandemic, my husband was taken care of with great care and thought. The staff there are absolutely wonderful. My husband was able to engage in one of his favorite activities which is playing cards. It started out at once or twice a week and expanded to six times weekly. It improved his attitude and mental health to be involved with residence who had the same interests. His room was very very large and even though he struggled with his electric wheelchair, the staff was patient and supportive."

"The team at Danbury Tallmadge could not have been more welcoming. The range of amenities and care options allowed us to gracefully move our aging Aunt into a new home where she is thriving. Her one bedroom studio is a bit small but adequate for a resident with some physical limitations. Exercise, games, music are all featured for every level of ability. Meals are varied and of high quality. Perhaps most importantly, the staff seems to have a genuine caring and upbeat attitude which was missing from from other places we visited. We are hoping our Aunt has a long and happy life with her Danbury family."

"I had the privilege to have a long relationship with Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. my Stepmother was diagnosed with Early onset Alzheimer's. in 2018 my stepmother was very difficult to manage due to anger issues stemming from dementia which made her hard to place in memory care. Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls was a blessing! In 2018 through 2023 I worked 7 days a week I was always confident that my stepmother was properly cared for. Communication was excellent during the 5 year stay! What I observed during my stepmothers stay is that Staff develop true connections to clients. Staff showed deep remorse after her passing in November 2023. I would not hesitate to make Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls my choice again. Traditions hospice care was a great choice as well I was called by traditions hospice every week with an update"

"The Cardinal was in a very good location. It was very easy to get to shopping, groceries, and any goods you might need. The nice thing about it is that it has a resident-operated little store, if you need toilet paper or milk. They have a little store that is open a couple of hours a day in the residence. They had a newsletter that the residents put out too, which was great. They tell you what is coming, what to do, and the things they do there. It is just a very homey atmosphere. They offer a continental breakfast in independent living, no lunch, and a full dinner. It is good for somebody who still wants to do their own cooking. We went there on St. Patrick's Day, and they were having a beer tasting which looked like it was fun. The activity director was putting a couple of activities in the main room too. They also had a lot of field trips (which were curtailed because of the virus), but will be getting back on track. They go to Amish countries and the casino. They have bingo, a nice little library, a little beverage corner that's open 24-hours a day, and a fireplace where they can read a paper and have coffee. The building has been recently remodeled within the last 2 years. Each room has a private patio with French doors and screened-in. They raised the floor level, so you walk from the unit right on to your screened-in porch (which I thought was lovely). They also have walking paths around the whole place. It has mature trees. The rooms are a little older, but they have all been redone."

"Mom is at Mulberry Gardens Senior Living. The people seem very friendly, but the most important thing why we chose it was it's very close to where I live and to where everybody lives around. It's a very nice facility and people have been super helpful. It's been a very good choice so far. She seems to be happy with what they're feeding her and everything. They've had music activities, yoga, little exercise, crafts, and take them out on field trips if they're able to or shopping and stuff. So, there are quite a bit of things going on. I'm very happy with everything."

"I just moved my sister in law yesterday at St. Luke, and they provide all the services we needed. They offer a lot of activities in house. They a full therapy on site, doctors that come on site, and they take care all the prescriptions to make sure her meds are always on a hand. They have three chefs there, and they treat them like they are in a restaurant. They sit down, order what they want on the menu, and are given an option of 4 entrees every dinner time. Actually, she moved in to what they called Dogwood Commons -- which is the assisted living part of it -- and they’re all brand new. The room she is in, she is the first one to stay there. The maintenance guys were helpful; they helped us move stuff in. They were right there to hook up the phone and the cable. The nursing staff was there right away to check on her and see if she needed anything. They have been wonderful."

"Regent of Stow was a nice place I would consider acceptable. They have good staff there. They have a good facility. They have a doctor and nurses that they employ. They have a movie theater and a nice dining hall. They play bingo, and they have recreational activities. The place seemed clean. We were there around lunchtime and people were being served. What I saw on the table looked all right, but we didn't have a chance to sample any of it. The staff during the tour was very nice and pleasant. She's a nurse and one of the management people there."

"This facility truly looks out for their residents. There are always questions that come up as time goes on, but the staff/nurses do try to help get answers. The nurses are caring. There are “levels” of nursing care that needs addressed with new residents. There are aides for special assistance. Sometimes staffing shortage is a problem that many businesses still encounter. The Sanctuary is a very bright, welcoming place as you enter, and the activities room and pub are a great gathering place for all residents and visitors. Each resident gets a daily activity sheet, and we encourage her to join in (though sometimes she just isn’t interested). My mother’s room is pleasant, especially decorated with all her own personal possessions. With an appointment, she can walk down the hall to get her hair done so we don’t have to take her out. There is a lovely parlor on each floor — a library, and ice cream parlor on her floor. Sitting outside on lovely days are available in the front entry or back patio. The dining room is lovely and puts out a monthly menu along with an additional regular menu if you don’t like the daily special. Having a good meal is something my mother looks forward to. Bottom line is that much is available— but the will to do it must be there also — of course, their age and mobility has a lot to do with desire. "

"The Inn at Apple Ridge was new, small, and had a pretty good range of activities. The people were very welcoming and friendly. The salesperson who took us through was very good and very nice. "The rooms were of good size. I liked the size of the rooms, although my sister's in a two-bedroom, so she would prefer that, I'm sure. The rooms I saw were pretty much empty, so it's kind of hard to see what they'd be like when they're full of items, but they were very pleasant and roomy, and I liked them all. I know I didn't see anything I didn't like. The staff was very nice, very friendly, had a lot of information, and answered all my questions. They spent a lot of time talking to me. It went well. They showed me the dining area, and they gave me a treat. It was landscaped very nicely, and everything was very clean inside."
