"The Director, who showed us around, it was very pleasant. It was just a little farther out than what my friend wanted to get away from what she considers her home area, and that was the only concern she has. The visit was wonderful, and once we got out there, she was very frustrated because she thought it was just way too far. "

"My mother-in-law moved here. We chose it because of the location. We like the security of the facility. It feels like a hotel, not a senior living facility. It's very clean, and they have friendly staff. The biggest thing I want to stress is they went above and beyond the day we moved in to help us. Due to COVID, food is being delivered to the rooms currently. She loves the food. I would do four stars because the eggs are cold in the morning. When they can finally go back to the dining room, I'm sure it will be better. But she's happy with the food. They normally do have activities, but because of COVID, there's no activity now. There's a library, a room that you can rent for large parties, a beauty shop, and there's a snack shop."

"The Inn at Apple Ridge is excellent, clean, the staff is very cordial and expert, and the top management is very hands-on. They're there to listen to you. I couldn't ask for any better expenditure of the high cost of assisted living. It's brand new, so you have the opportunity to be the first one if you get in now. The food is all very nutritious, non-seasoned, and edible. My wife likes the food. The activities are well conducted and well attended with a lot of fun. It's a pleasure to go there."

"Mom’s biggest issue is confusion. Her main goal is to go home and be with her parents. She was extremely unhappy in her own home. Once we moved her to Maplewood she became more content and developed friendships. She still wants to go home but she doesn’t mind waiting at Maplewood. It’s an easy place to live, everything is ideally laid out. There’s plenty of safe outdoor space and room for indoor walks. She likes eating in the restaurant and enjoys the games they play. The staff is top notch!! Mom loves kidding around with the “girls” that work there. "

"A great facility. Had a few bumps in the road at first but everyone worked hard to get things corrected. Fantastic staff everyone is always pleasant and professional. Building is always clean and the food is good as well. The Director went out of her way to make my Dad happy and feel like this was his new home. I would recommend this facility for your loved ones."

"It's been 7 yrs since my father passed away. He moved to Cardinal village after my mom passed away because he was lonely. He had lost his best friend 6 months earlier. He spent about a year in retirement village before he had to move to assisted living and passed not long after that. EVERYONE there were wonderful. The staff, the other residents, everyone. He felt at home there. He loved the screened porch. We feel he was blessed to be there. If you are considering a retirement place to make life easier for yourself, or your parents, I highly recommend that you check this place out. "

"I put my mom over to Vitalia and it's been fantastic. The people that are there are wonderful, the amenities have been fantastic, and the food is unbelievable. She has a 1-bedroom apartment. It's brand-new so everything including the dining area is bright, it's inviting, and the staff is nice. They will accommodate any needs you have as far as your diet, like if you only want 1 egg, or you only want or even half of a flatbread pizza, they're happy for you. The community itself is clean and very inviting."

"Mulberry Gardens Senior Living was very nice. I just think that it is out of my budget. Their food was excellent. I would go there just for the food. It was nice and clean. They also provide transportation. It was like going to a 5-star restaurant. They put linens on the tables and use glass dishes. They serve you, and the food was good. They had a schedule of activities and the apartments were very nice. They have amenities like an activity room, they have entertainment come in sometimes, and they have a piano in the dining room. Overall, the facility was well-maintained, it's excellent. The layout of the apartments was also ready to move in, they all have a kitchenette, there's no oven but there are a few cupboards and a sink. They were very clean and nice, and they'd put new carpet in, but it wasn't like plush carpets. I was impressed that all the staff was promoting the place saying how nice it was. They sent a driver to pick me up and take me there, and he also talked about how nice it was."

"The rooms are beautiful and the whole building is so homey. It really feels like a home, a lot of warm touches that help this assisted feeling truly feel comfortable. The staff is wonderful and caring. Overall a great choice for someone who needs some help with their activities of daily living, as the staff assists people while maintaining their dignity and sense of independence."

"Danbury Wooster looked like they had a good meal program. They also had housekeeping, transportation, and lots of social activities. So, if you want to be around people, you can. If you don't, you don't need to be. They have a lot going on there and I was quite impressed. I think they had a movie theater and a beauty salon/barber. Amber and Brad were very friendly and very helpful. I liked them. The meal I had wasn't great. It was a salad. It's never been one of my favorites so I didn't care for that, but I'm sure they have plenty of offerings that I would like."

"My first impression of Cardinal Court Assisted Living and Memory Care was good. It is not a very large facility, but everything about it seems just fine. The place looked very nice inside. I was able to look into one of the rooms that my mother-in-law could have possibly stayed in, and I was very impressed with it. The rooms seemed to be very nice. They're very comfortable, nicely furnished, and have a nice layout. The staff member was great. She was very nice and very helpful. She was excellent. There were a lot of people sitting around, and watching television, and doing things on their own, but there was no organized activity that I observed."
