"The staff at Sunrise at Parma was very good. The place was very cozy, and the residents were always up and about and engaged. I saw them doing an activity. The room was just too small. The food was good. I saw both their assisted living and memory care facilities. They had an activity room, birds, a dog, a game room, a library, and gardens."

"My grandmother did a respite stay at Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls. I liked their approach. My grandmother was in a hospital setting with COVID. We reached out and we wanted to get her respite care (mainly from a therapy rehab perspective) and they worked with us in tandem. She was hospitalized almost 50 miles from the facility. I had family in that area, so I opted to bring her there for a short stay. They made a very easy transition. They kept in constant communication with our family and she had a very positive outcome. She got therapy one-on-one. She came in the door in a wheelchair, and she was walking within just a few days with assistance, but is in much bigger, better spirits, eating good meals and getting her medication in a timely manner. She was there for just a little over 30 days and she was able to go back home successfully with the therapy and the good care that she received. From the time that we walked in, there was a welcome sign greeting her at the door. The leadership team was all very friendly and very knowledgeable. They all played a different factor in her stay. The facility was very clean. The food was good. She had a good opportunity to try some different meals she's not necessarily had in the past or something she had received every day. It's a good variety and fresh. It was just a good experience. We have no complaints. Each and everyone of the staff played a critical role in her outcome and I can't speak any higher regards. They were fabulous. She'd never had a filet mignon and she was offered that as an option on a Wednesday evening there, so in her eyes, it would be five-star. We have zero complaints. The facility was very clean and very detailed. Housekeeping was done every day to launder anything that needed taken to the laundry, trash was pulled every day, any dirty dishes or anything, they took care of those right away. What I liked about that was they actually asked us as a family to complete a booklet called Staying Connected, and it helped us kind of prompt our memory and identify hobbies that she once enjoyed as a much younger individual through adulthood and things that she's still doing today. It prompted a lot of good memories. They were invested in her. They wanted to know how they can make her stay more desirable and they did. We were pleased with the pricing and we were able to use some of her long-term care insurance benefits as well. We had talked to some of the other families that were there when we were looking around and they had good things to say and the residents seemed genuinely happy."

"This center is a step above the others. They truly care for their residents. They put their heart and soul into making sure their residents are physically and mentally living their best lives. Everyone is family."

"Summit Corners has very good customer service. They also have very good facilities that are kept up well. It's a beautiful setting/environment. There was one room, and I took some pictures of it. It's not too bad. It's a little bit small, but it has a big closet. It's private, so I like that my mom would not have to have a roommate, and that's a plus. It's more like a home instead of like a regular nursing home. I didn't try out the food, but the staff member who gave me the tour says it's very good. It sounded good from the menu, and the staff says she eats it herself."

"I chose to be here. I picked the room I’m moving into. They explained the activities, and it sounded like they can keep me active. There were people talking to each other when I was there. I was very impressed with what I saw. The dining area looked big, it looked inviting, and you would think that it was a restaurant. It’s a nice looking, antsy place. They have an exercise room."

"I review many area independent and assistant living facilities and by far Summit Point was an easy decision. My mother has been at Summit Point for over a year and I can not say enough great things about the managing and the extremely great caring staff that are always so helpful. The have many organized get togethers for the residents throughout the week to keep everyone busy as well as the residents helping each other out when in need. The living suites are updated and extremely clean.. The grand foyer is always decorated for all special accasions for the residents to enjoy. The Dining room is beautiful and their dining staff are very helpful to each resident for each of their needs as well as sweet and courteous to their residents and visiting guests. HIGHLEY RECOMMEND!!! "

"Cardinal Retirement Village was nice and large. The assisted living was at the back, and the residents who didn’t need extra help were in the front, so we had to walk further to see the assisted living side. It was hard to know what's on the menu because of the way they had the menu written. The people, apartments, and the whole place were nice. Mom would have had two rooms: a sitting room and a really nice bedroom. There's a porch off of everybody's apartment, so you can sit outside if you wanted to. "

"I had a very nice and informative tour at Vitalia Senior Residences at Stow. The girl's name that took me around was Kerry, she was very attentive and did a very good job. It's a very nice facility, I just didn't feel like right now it was for me, but maybe in the future. The rooms were nice, they were up to date, they were clean and they were good sized. They had studios and apartments. They had a good variety of nice activities that are very accommodating to everybody's interests. I had a snack there, it was nice."

"Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton had excellent meals, snacks, and food options. It was a brand new place. It was fantastic. Their bedroom was nice. They gave a good presentation of their place. The price was just pretty high."

"My father moved into Cardinal Court, and it is the best it could possibly be. The care for Alzheimer's patients could not be any better. They are wonderful, and I'm so thankful that he's there. The people are wonderful. I've been there every day, their food is excellent, and their kitchen staff is nice. They chef is wonderful, they give the residents snacks, and I actually have to tell them to feed my dad less."

"In 2008, we lost our dear, 78 yr. old mother. My father had been an amazing caregiver to her for over a decade, due to her chronic illnesses. However, for the last few weeks of her life, she needed skilled nursing care. We were fortunate to find placement for her at Mount Alverna, where she had worked 20 yrs. ago. Each of the staff there cared for her like she was their own mother. They would even style her hair and paint her nails. After being diagnosed with cancer in 2010, we lost our beloved father in less than a month. It was his request to also die at Mount Alverna. The 15 days he spent their, prior to his death, were for us "time in God's waiting room." Again, our experience with ALL the staff, was something for which our family is forever appreciative. "

"Hudson Grande Senior Living was five stars. The staff members I met and conversed with were very informative. They even called back and are keeping up with my demands. The cleanliness was absolutely superb. The room size was pretty decent. I was pretty impressed. Most of the rooms had a little courtyard. Most of them had birdfeeders, so they had something to look at. They had great planned activities for both memory care and assisted living, and we got to sit in a couple of them. We went on a car show on the assisted living side, and the carnival that they had was excellent. The meal I had was really good. It was almost like a restaurant setting. You sit at a table, and they take your order. They give you a little menu. I am sure the memory care part of it will be a little different, but it was perfect. They had a person that would serve you. It was amazing. You can choose from pasta, chicken, baked fish, or something. They had vegetables. You got a choice of Coke, tea, water, or lemonade. It was an awesome place. To me, it was the top. It looked more like a resort than an average senior center. It looked like you're going to a hotel. It was like my mother was on vacation almost. I liked that when you walked in, they had a huge electric fireplace and a big grand piano. They always had music playing."
