"The rooms are spacious with plenty of walking room. Everything is very clean The food in the dining room is tasty and the meals are well balanced. All the staff is very friendly and helpful. They really care about the residents. I feel like I've gotten my Mom back... she's like her old self!"

"The staff at Sunrise at Parma was very good. The place was very cozy, and the residents were always up and about and engaged. I saw them doing an activity. The room was just too small. The food was good. I saw both their assisted living and memory care facilities. They had an activity room, birds, a dog, a game room, a library, and gardens."

"Mom chose Maplewood at Cuyahoga Falls because the number of residents was just right. The people are all super friendly and everybody talks to you, whether they're a resident or not. Mom said that as soon as she walked in the front door, it felt right. "

"Summit Corners has very good customer service. They also have very good facilities that are kept up well. It's a beautiful setting/environment. There was one room, and I took some pictures of it. It's not too bad. It's a little bit small, but it has a big closet. It's private, so I like that my mom would not have to have a roommate, and that's a plus. It's more like a home instead of like a regular nursing home. I didn't try out the food, but the staff member who gave me the tour says it's very good. It sounded good from the menu, and the staff says she eats it herself."

"My mother has been a resident at Danbury in Hudson for 4 months now since needing more care and assistance with medications. She was previously in Springwood, the sister facility for independent living. The transition to Danbury was easy and well-managed by the staff and administration. The staff (nurses, care-givers, dining, maintenance, and front desk/office) have been simply OUTSTANDING. I really can't say enough about how friendly and kind every single person has been to my mom. My sister and I rest much easier knowing she's getting the care and attention she needs. The activities are frequent and varied. In hindsight for my mom wishes she had moved to Danbury sooner. My sister and I advocated for it but mom was too happy with her apartment and friends at Springwood. If she had moved a bit sooner, she would have had an easier time getting into all the activities and options available. The other residents are all friendly and welcoming. The facilities are quite lovely. The common spaces allow for plenty of space to visit with friends and family. The rooms vary in size and most tend to be on the smaller side. That worried mom at first, but her studio apartment is set up quite nicely for her needs and she's quite happy with it. I think the food is above average for an assisted living facility. I like it. The combination of the dining room plus a mix of happy hours, mixers, ice cream Sunday bars, etc. provide good variety. I'll repeat the most important part, the staff, especially the nurses, care-givers and dining staff, are so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's truly impressive to see, and I'm very thankful."

"I was very graciously accommodated at Vitalia Senior Residences at Stow and I was offered sustenance when I arrived. The staff was very helpful. The last time I was there, I parked the car in the parking lot and when I came back to it to leave, my battery had run down, so I had to go back to the office and they very promptly summoned Triple A and got me able to leave. I also found the facilities very pleasant. I have a special interest in opera and I was interested in seeing how that might be played out at that facility and the staff sounded very interested in accommodating that interest of mine. It seems to me that every question that I had was answered fully. The place's appearance was modern, up-to-date, very tidy, and welcoming. The rooms seemed nice and well-designed."

"Mom is at Vitalia Active Adult Community at North Royalton. The staff is very caring. The place is clean and spotless. The food is good. Sometimes they just have trouble with their phone lines. Other than that, there's plenty of activities. They offer a hair salon, transportation to doctor visits or to shopping, and lots of things."

"Cardinal Court is a very new, clean, and modern community. I felt that they're too new. The person who gave me the tour had only been there for a couple of days and couldn't really offer me a lot of knowledge about the community. There weren't many residents yet, so it felt like we were walking around in an empty building. The staff members were all in one room because there was a family party, and once I met them, I could see that they were very engaged. I was shown a nice-sized, bright, and clean private room with its own bathroom. They provide three meals a day plus snacks. I think they need to build their business first. They don't provide transportation, so I would have to pick up my dad for his doctors' appointments."

"I toured Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls. It was a little bit more money than the other place. The staff was great. They were very friendly. The only room they had left on my second visit seemed like in an area that could be congested at mealtimes and stuff like that. We just didn't have the feel for it as much as we did at the other place. They had some beautiful gardens that they took residents out to. There were different areas where there's like baby dolls and a crib and they can dress the babies. There were old-fashioned typewriters and old-fashioned telephones. They have vanities set up so that the women could put some jewelry on and those type of things. And I saw them reading to them, which was nice. I think it would be a nice place to recommend."

"My husband was in Mt. Alverna Village. He was in a shared room but each resident was on each side, so it looked like they had private rooms. The staff were there when he needed them and they kept him clean. The care he got seemed good and his condition improved. "

"We moved my mother here. They treat the residents with ultimate care. It is a locked facility and they have motion detectors, so that we know if she was certainly wandering, that’s why we moved her. The food is fine, and the dining area looks like a restaurant. I can’t say enough about the staff; they are just wonderful. They always communicate with what’s going on. If there’s any issues, they get a hold of me immediately. They know all the residents by name, and they treat them all very well. We have no issues at all. "

"My parents have been residents in the independent living at the Rockside community for 7 months. Is it perfect? No. But they are attentive to concerns and make an effort to rectify any problems. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a fair number of activities. They try to have events for special days. My parents frequently talk about the beautiful valentines day dinner and the eclipse party. There was a women’s tea for Christmas that my mom thoroughly enjoyed. My mom moved from their home reluctantly. Yesterday she told me she doesn’t miss her house anymore and that she loves her new home at Vitalia. That speaks volumes!"
