"My family member was in another facility close by and received terrible treatment. The staff were cocky and condescending. Needless to say we did not have high hopes for Brentwood. So far, we have been very pleased with the level of attention and care that our family member is receiving. The staff is attentive, though the family member is old and cranky, they seem to take it in stride and push on to help him. Thank you! "

"My experience with Walton Manor stems not only from my grandmother being a current resident, but also from my time as a volunteer ten years ago. The grounds and building itself are well kept and beautiful. I like the fact that they also offer both private and shared rooms, and the nearest full service hospital is less than 3 miles away. Their in-house medical equipment is up to date, and they are always replacing existing equipment with the latest state of the art models. The staff is always very courteous and helpful whenever I visit, and their detailed stories and updates on my grandmother make me confident she is getting the individual attention she needs. They are also great about calling my family with weekly updates even when there are no major concerns. The event staff is great about scheduling many daily activities to entertain and fit the needs of all residents. It is comforting to see that our money goes not only toward my grandmother's basic needs such as medical attention, room, and nutritional needs, but fun activities and special guests to brighten her days. "

"Rooms okay, food cold and terrible Staff overall unresponsive to my needs. There are some good people. Very poor internet access. Things missing from MY room. They act like it’s theirs. Come and go with no knocking. Room floors dirty. Waste basket not emptied often enough. I’ve been here over a week and still none shower."

"I feel that the oaks of Brecksville is probably one of the better nursing homes They are not perfect and have issues too. Probably more are related to short staffed like every place else So definitely keep an eye on your family member and make sure things are right. Most of them can’t speak for themselves But over all the oaks of Brecksville is a Little better than most nursing homes If you must put someone in a nursing home check them out The rooms are large and private. The staff are nice. We had a few issues but they was resolved immediately They have activities everyday for the residents if they are capable of doing it. The food I would say is probably a little above adverage Like I said just keep a eye on them because no place is perfect and you will have to be the voice "

"My mom was at Legacy Place & was given excellent care. The staff was always so friendly & mom loved the friends she made there. "

"My husband is currently in Heartland of Twinsburg. He had been there before, and they have a handful of nurses and aides that are fantastic, but the rest of them just sit around and do nothing. It is like any nursing home nowadays; they are so understaffed that the staff that they do have for the most part don’t really care. This time, he is basically there on ‘respite’ type scenario. He is bedridden and a very difficult patient because he doesn’t want to take his meds, he doesn’t want to do this, and he doesn’t want to do that. I am sure they did what they could at this point, and there were a couple of nurses on that floor that were fantastic in trying to get him to take his meds. So there isn’t a whole lot for them to do at this point. They need more qualified aides. They probably have 1 aide for 15 rooms or something like that. It is just understaffed and under qualified."

"As off December 2022 its have been improvement, the place have been painted the room were more clean, activity been done with the residents staffs is more friendly. Glen is a aids is god Sent from Night shift and most off all she patient with the need off the resident in the lockdown unit the administrator handle all concern any time day or night. Smiley "

"My husband had a couple of behavioral problems, and Pine Valley Care Center had proved to me that they could take care of him. I'm very happy. The staff is wonderful, it's very clean, the administration is wonderful, and the care he's getting is wonderful. He's only been there about three and a half weeks. "

"My mother was at Villa St. Joseph, and I was very happy with them for the most part. The only problem I had was the rooms were somewhat hospital like and sterile. It's a rehab facility, so I can understand the hospital kind of quality to it. She's been there twice, and I was very happy with the activities they had. They had plenty of activities for people to get involved with. My mother got out and met people. They moved her around quite a bit, and they gave her physical therapy regularly. I didn't like the way the room looked, but I was happy with the care, it was good. The facility looked very nice, well kept up, clean, and well maintained. The value for money was very good."

"Laurel Lake Retirement Community has been up and running for quite a while. I have a number of friends who are there and they are very happy. My brother is still in the process of selling his home and he will be moving in there in October. It was a very nice facility and that would be our choice. They have different points of entry around the facility. We didn't actually see much of the facility because we were not really interested at that time. We just went along with my brother to see what the activities were. They had just about the same activities and I guess they are similar to what they offer in Lake Chautauqua, a cultural area in New York where a lot of people go to for education and learning. They've got a beautiful lake with a walking path around it. They have films, so they show movies. They have dining and all that. "

"Jennings Center had a lot of different activities for the residents. The rooms were very big and spacious. The staff was attentive to the residents as well as the family members. "

"Everything about Hudson Elms was great. I just didn't see much staff and I was expecting to see more people. I don't know if that's their usual, but it seemed like the residents were still well taken care of. The rooms that I saw were average size, but people just had a lot of stuff in them, so they looked smaller, but they seemed OK. We went into the dining area. I think the one at the other facility is a little nicer, but I like that you can see the outside areas from there. There's lots of good lighting, so that's nice. It feels like you're almost eating outside. They had a really good recreation person. They had a group come in and sing. I guess it was a choir or a group of ministers coming and singing to the residents and they gave them gifts and things like toiletries and things like that. So, that was really nice."
