"The thing that me and my wife liked about woodside village was the condo like setting and the fact that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city,When we talked to some of the residents they had good things to say about the place.Talking to the staff we found out that some of them were really really good, very caring and treated the residents like family, they knew about the residents and their families, what impresed me the most was the fact that as we were trying to assess them in a way it felt like they were trying to for the lack of a better term judge us as to what we want or were looking for.Bedford hospltal was right up the street, and convenient shopping and paks were around the corner. "

"We toured Rose Senior Living Beachwood and I fell absolutely in love with it. I loved the friendliness of the people, the size of the rooms, and I loved that they had a very modern kitchen. We looked at independent there because they had independent, assisted, and memory care. They thought that we could do well with independent living before we moved into assisted living. For the independent, they give you a certain allowance for meals and they still had housekeeping twice a month. It came with a full kitchen. It was absolutely lovely and up to date. It has an oven, refrigerators, the whole thing. They had a swimming pool. They had us for lunch because they gave you a $250 per person allowance for meals and that lunch was out of this world. I got a fresh salad, and it was delicious. They have Starbucks for breakfast and you can get any Starbucks you want. They had people come and talk to us. And the lunch we had was with residents that were there. They were so friendly. I was ready to move immediately, but my husband wasn't sure he wanted to live here. If we move, that's where we will go. They let us taste the food some of the other people were having and one person had a steak. It's a 5. The chef came out and talked to us, too."

"We checked on them. The assisted living area there was smaller than the other facility. The rooms were very nice. They didn't have a shop or a deli there. Food-wise, they're about the same as with the other facility."

"I review many area independent and assistant living facilities and by far Summit Point was an easy decision. My mother has been at Summit Point for over a year and I can not say enough great things about the managing and the extremely great caring staff that are always so helpful. The have many organized get togethers for the residents throughout the week to keep everyone busy as well as the residents helping each other out when in need. The living suites are updated and extremely clean.. The grand foyer is always decorated for all special accasions for the residents to enjoy. The Dining room is beautiful and their dining staff are very helpful to each resident for each of their needs as well as sweet and courteous to their residents and visiting guests. HIGHLEY RECOMMEND!!! "

"Summit Corners has very good customer service. They also have very good facilities that are kept up well. It's a beautiful setting/environment. There was one room, and I took some pictures of it. It's not too bad. It's a little bit small, but it has a big closet. It's private, so I like that my mom would not have to have a roommate, and that's a plus. It's more like a home instead of like a regular nursing home. I didn't try out the food, but the staff member who gave me the tour says it's very good. It sounded good from the menu, and the staff says she eats it herself."

"I had lunch at Deer Creek Lodge and it was OK. The facility was very nice. The people and the staff were really friendly. The rooms were a very nice size compared to other rooms that I've seen. It was very clean."

"I looked at The Villas at King David. It was a beautiful facility. They had very nice spacious suites. I liked everything about it; it was just too far away from family for me. But they have beautiful rooms. They supply refrigerators and microwaves. They have a laundry service, and they have a barber there. They have everything you need. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very nice. She explained everything well. With the questions I asked, she was very patient with me. She did a good job showing me everything. I even sat down and ate lunch with her, and the food was good. The building itself was very nice and very clean."

"I had an in-person tour of Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights. I liked the fact that they were small. They didn't have a whole lot of people there. They were able to answer all of my questions. I liked the fact that it was clean. They had a courtyard and a big indoor dining area. I think it's near a hospital, shopping, and restaurants."

"I toured StoryPoint Shaker Heights. The place is beautiful. The decorations are beautiful. The care they give the people is beautiful, but it has a small stench. That's a new building, and it should not have a urine smell to it. I have friends who stay there as well. The staff is nice and friendly. I guess everywhere is short. I've been there several times, but the last time I was there, I guess they had a few issues with staffing being short as far as assisting the people getting dressed, and then the kitchen help. They have three people who help with the kitchen, and the actual cook didn't show up that day. So, they had to order food out, which they were on point with ordering the food out. But I think that there should always be a backup cook and not just one person that's being a cook. The facility and the upkeep looked beautiful. I mean, like everything, when you come in, it's beautiful artwork. It looks clean. I don't know if they're not using some bleach or something when they clean. I think they need to invest in something a bit more stringent to kill the scent because you can use basic bleach and water, and it won't have that smell."

"It was beautiful. At the moment, I would love to go there. It was an enjoyable tour. The apartments were very beautiful. They were big, they had a whole kitchen, and they had big windows, which was nice. You would not feel closed in. They showed me a list of activities, and it looked very nice. Sometimes, they had music at night for entertainment. They even had a happy hour. They would serve you 2 drinks, and then they cut you off. So, you're only allowed 2 drinks. The people I met walking around were very friendly. They all said hello. It was a very nice place. The staff who assisted me was very nice, very pleasant, very helpful, and very knowledgeable."

"My friend will be moving into The Woodlands by Heritage Retirement Communities. They have remodeled it and it's up to date. They had the new modern chandeliers and new carpets. It was nice. They had the furniture, so you didn't have to bring the bed, which was kind of nice. You could bring whatever else you want in the room. The staff was nice. They were accommodating and they helped us. They worked with us with what my friend could afford. They had a nice dining room and activity room. It was cozy because it kind of goes in a circle. It was open, so you don't feel like it's just gonna swallow you up."
