"My uncle moved to Maple Ridge Senior Living. I like the family atmosphere, the kindness, and the welcoming staff. They are willing to accept my uncle's limitations and do what they can to help him get well. I love the activities that they offer and we love the cottage setting. You can tell that they picked their staff very carefully. I haven't tried the food but the meals are very nutritious and well balanced. When you walk in the doors, you hear beautiful piano music playing, and it's just a beautiful facility. Everything's brand new and the furniture is new. It's a beautiful cottage and the grounds are gorgeous. The flowers are blossoming. They have a pretty gazebo. They said that in the summertime they do concerts outside for the residents. They have the rocking chairs out for them to sit in the beautiful weather. I also like the fact that they can do his laundry. It's a superb care that he's getting."

"Brookdale Wickliffe was nice, but it was small and I think it only had 46 or 48 people. It was cheaper though. They had a little kitchen space with a small refrigerator and it didn't have the same benefits, but I think they still took you shopping, which was nice. They had some benches outside where you could go sit if you wanted, and it was up away from the traffic. I wouldn't mind if I went to a place like that. I just wanted something bigger. The staff that took me on a tour was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. The menu looked pretty good. Cleanliness was OK, but again, it was smaller, so I don't think it has as many windows, and I'm very fond of windows so I can see out. It wasn't as lit up but you could go outside and it was OK."

"My mom has been at Governors Village a little over a year. I am very pleased with the facility and the daily care she receives.. Everyone is very caring and supportive. There are many activities available to the residents thanks to Stephanie. She is always busy creating fun things to do and always has some sort of theme for each month. Aside from being the Activity coordinator, she is also a very caring person involved with helping residents as needed, whether it is helping during meals or comforting someone with a little hug. "Maplewood at Chardon has been wonderful for my 98-year-old mother! Last year the burdens of living in her own home became too much for her, but she was very hesitant to give up her home of forty years. Maplewood did everything it could to welcome her to a new home, where she could live her way, but get assistance when needed. The staff is extremely friendly and caring, and they try to accommodate her preferences whenever they can. As a result of the new, comfortable living situation, my mom's outlook on life has blossomed and she seems more energetic. Maplewood is also very good to its extended "family" - the families of the residents. They communicate frequently about events at the residence and specifics about my Mom's health and well-being. There seems to be a very low turnover rate of staff, which is another plus. Very highly recommended!"

"Vitalia Highland Heights is a brand-new facility. They just opened. I was very impressed with the independent living quarters that they offered. There were two spaces available. There are two bedrooms with a nice large living area and a kitchen that has everything. I know that if I wanted to, I could cook and bake there. There's a seating area in the kitchen. You don't have to have a dining room table, but it's big enough that you could have people sit down there on both sides. You could probably get maybe 4 or 5 people sitting in this area. They have beautiful two bathrooms that are bigger than what I'm living in right now. They have a washer and dryer, which is very important to me. The price is OK. I think they want $4005 or somewhere around there, maybe close to $5000 a month. They offer a lot of bus trips and typical things. They have a pool. They have everything. They have invited me twice now to come for lunch and their food is excellent. If you have a car, they have a covered parking area and that's $75 a month. That's high, and all it does is that there's a parking area where everybody parked right next to each other. You just have a roof over the outdoors. It's not an enclosed garage."

"My sister moved into The Winfield at Richmond Heights. She's pretty happy there. She's only been there a week, but she said, "So far, so good." The staff I had contact with were very good. I had lunch there one day, and it was good. My sister said the food was okay. The facility has been kept clean. The library is very nice. They have all kinds of activities. There is a patio. I have not seen a walking path unless you walk in the parking lot. They do the laundry, and they have transportation."

"My husband is a resident of Heritage of Euclid's assisted living. So far, the staff is friendly, and they are doing a pretty good job. I would describe his room as being adequate. I would say the upkeep is okay, and the activities are pretty good. My husband is not very active, but I've seen them doing crafts and taking the residents out. For amenities, they have a salon, and that's about it."

"Richmond Heights Place looked clean, and the staff was very friendly. We were able to walk around, while some of the other facilities we could only do a virtual tour. So getting to look around and walk around really helped us make our decision. They gave us a snack when we left. They have daily activities. The rooms were very clean, nice, and big compared to some of the other ones we saw. It had more like a homey feeling. They were more like apartments than rooms."

"It was beautiful. At the moment, I would love to go there. It was an enjoyable tour. The apartments were very beautiful. They were big, they had a whole kitchen, and they had big windows, which was nice. You would not feel closed in. They showed me a list of activities, and it looked very nice. Sometimes, they had music at night for entertainment. They even had a happy hour. They would serve you 2 drinks, and then they cut you off. So, you're only allowed 2 drinks. The people I met walking around were very friendly. They all said hello. It was a very nice place. The staff who assisted me was very nice, very pleasant, very helpful, and very knowledgeable."

"I toured Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights. The facility was nice and clean, and it was a small community, which I appreciated. The rooms were not too large, which would be very good for my mom. They were simple rooms where anyone could be monitored very easily. It had a nice, roomy, public area for residents to dine, or enjoy activities. It was a pleasure speaking with the administrator. It was more like a home setting. You have a great room for activities, an open format for dining, and a fireplace. It was simple, but very nice, modern, and they had a nice courtyard where residents could walk around, enjoy the gardens, and sunshine. And they had a very good ratio of staff to residents. The staff seemed to be very attentive to the residents. You could see what everyone was doing, and that was good."

"I looked at The Villas at King David. It was a beautiful facility. They had very nice spacious suites. I liked everything about it; it was just too far away from family for me. But they have beautiful rooms. They supply refrigerators and microwaves. They have a laundry service, and they have a barber there. They have everything you need. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very nice. She explained everything well. With the questions I asked, she was very patient with me. She did a good job showing me everything. I even sat down and ate lunch with her, and the food was good. The building itself was very nice and very clean."
