My husband and I have moved into Hilltop Village. I like the fact that I can go down and get a coffee every day. I can get my own mail in the facility where I live. I don't have to go out and look for a mailbox. I like that they have different activities on different days that you can participate in. Sometimes they go to the grocery store, sometimes to the bank. Lots of different things, which is good for senior citizens. In this facility, they have lots of laundry rooms that you can go and wash. You don't have to be piled up in one laundry room. I love that everything is on one floor, that I don't have to worry about elevators and all of that. I love the fact that the managers and executives and the folks here are very friendly. That's good to meet friendly people my age. As you get older, you want more peace of mind. So that's engaging for me, and it is a very friendly place here. I love the fact of sitting up in my living room, and I have my own private little porch on the outside. In the summertime, I can just sit over there, and it's all screened in, and you got a light in. I just love the fact that it's all privacy. In the front area of the facility, I would love to see them get some new carpet. Because I have a walker and people ride in those go carts and they carry a lot of mud. In terms of value for money, from what I can understand as far as the rent and everything, it's cheaper than where I was, and I have two bedrooms and two baths.

I went to tour Hilltop Village. They scheduled us for Saturday, which was the 20th of July. We went there, and no one was there. So then we turned around, and we went back on the 29th. We toured the place, but it was costing too much for my mother. The lady gave us some papers for the VA but wasn't even sure if the VA would pay for them. No one came out to see us. We waited for a half hour. The lady who gave us a tour was okay. The facility was nice.

When I walked into Hilltop Village, the first thing I saw was someone driving in a wheelchair and at that point, I didn't think this place was for me. I am old but I can still get around. If my mom was alive, I would put her there, because it looked like they would take good care of her. The young lady I was speaking with was very respectful and understood me. She saw the expression on my face that it was not going to be my place and she respected that.

We toured Hilltop Village. When we went there, the receptionist had a bad attitude. This is our first time doing anything like this. You could have smiled. You could have said some kind words instead of just go and sit down. And, this place was badly kept up. The lady who showed us the apartment was good. After we saw what we saw, we decided it wouldn't be feasible for us to go any further to look at a room, because, like I said, the place needs a lot of work, new carpeting. It looked like they were taking out the old mattresses, and putting in new mattresses in some of the apartments. So, I'm kind of wondering if there were even bedbugs and to me, it just wasn't what we were looking for.

I liked everything about Hilltop Village. It was very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly and very informative as far as things that they do there and what they offer. I liked that there's quite a bit for the seniors to do. There's a little variety and I love that they have patios for the on- and two-bedrooms. The patios were screened in and they're just gorgeous. They just had a lot of things I liked about. The rooms were beautiful and absolutely gorgeous, too. The dining room is gorgeous. The lobby is gorgeous when you walk in. It's inviting. The whole area itself is just beautiful. It's nice and cozy. You can tell a lot of people enjoy themselves out there. They have a lot of activities. It's a real nice place.

I went to Hilltop Village. It seemed like a good community, but I was not happy with the room sizes. The doors were extremely small, it was an old facility, and I didn't like the atmosphere. I just didn't care for the place. Getting to the building was not the greatest, I didn't think that would be very safe for me if I was going in, or going about, or even coming in there during the winter time. It just didn't seem like a place I wanted to stay at the time, so I didn't go back. I liked the staff, she seemed to be well-informed.

The tour I had of Hilltop Village was great. Samantha was great and very informative. The lady at the front desk was also very nice and helped me out when I first walked in the door. They showed the one-bedroom apartments, the laundry area, and the parking outside area. She informed me pretty well. The room has a kitchen and a smaller type living room. It's very clean. The dining area was OK. The building was maintained. I would like a garage and a little more storage space. They had some storage up top, but the stairs come out the ceiling, and you have to walk upstairs for the storage and that's not good. Parking is not far, but it is a distance.

We chose Hilltop Village just because we need a place. It's average. It does need a facelift outside of the building. It does need new carpeting in the hallway and stuff. The closet space is very limited. The outside needs painting and some clean up around the property. They are going to put new carpeting in the apartment. The refrigerator is very small. The stove as well is very small. Otherwise, it's OK. They said they might have a larger apartment, so we'll see. The staff was very nice. We have a little private patio that we can sit out, so that's decent. It needs a little tender loving care. My husband's OK with it. It has a laundry room, which I would not do my laundry in. It wasn't appealing at all. Someone had left their laundry down there and it was on the table. It needs some cleaning out.

Hilltop Village was nice. I've been there before. Unfortunately, my mother died there a long time ago. It wasn't a surprise because I'd been there so many times. It is not quite as amazing as it used to be. They don't even make the food there anymore. They bring it in. I've seen some things that were good, and some things were disappointing. The suite that they wanted to show me was being prepared. Part of the reason that Hilltop is even in the running is because they're relatively inexpensive compared to the others. They have a microwave and a kitchenette. The tour person was knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and professional. She was fine. She did a nice job. They have a nice landscape. They have a facility for sitting and being outside.

I had been to Hilltop Village. It was very nice. They gave me a full tour. They showed me a one-bedroom. It was awesome. It was just right for me. Residents were playing cards. There was a gym. The dining area was nice. They have a patio area where they have trees and flowers. It is very nice. You can sit outside and enjoy nature. The staff were very nice. They offer transportation and that was nice.

I toured Hilltop Village. I didn't care for the parking lot that they had there. It's not in the best neighborhoods, and I'd be a little leery of leaving my car out there. I liked the way the staff treated the people. The staff was really good. They were pretty good. They might not have been excellent, but they were pretty good. The place looked alright, but it didn't look like they had a whole lot going on. There was a gym there and a dining area. It is located close to restaurants. It's close to everything, and the hospital, too. It looked clean.

Hilltop Village was a little dark and sort of crowded for my taste. However, I liked the setting of the individual patios. The staff was fine. The rooms were adequate and nothing too special.

Hilltop Village was nice. It was just very pricy. They wanted a $1,000 deposit, and that was more than the rent. How could you ask for $1,000 and the rent was only $890? I've only seen one lady, and she was very nice. The room was clean and small. It had a bed, four walls, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It wasn't updated. You had to pay for everything. It's $200 if they wanted a ride to the grocery store with the bus per month. They had a meal plan with somebody coming to feed you, and I think that was $600 a month, and you'll get a lunch and a dinner.

My dad is now in Hilltop Village. It's good for people living independently, but he doesn't fit the criteria because he needs a higher level of care. Sometimes, somebody comes by and would do some cleaning on his room, but I'm generally doing the cleaning myself. They have activities like bingo, singing here and there, a television and a TV room. Since it's an independent living, the people here come and go. They pay for meals and they're provided the meals. They have a cafeteria, but it comes as part of his rent. They've got a laundromat and a big cafeteria, so they're good with the amenities and the building is good.

Our experience with Hilltop Village was good, but it was not what I wanted. The apartments were like cottages. They were nice, but the staff person determined that it was too much money. Two bedrooms would have been $1000 or more and it's too much for my pocket. They're very nice people and very warm. I have no problem with any of it except that it was too much money for two-bedroom and one-bedroom would not have been enough. The living quarters were small. Everything was beautiful and well kept. There's no problem there. The facilities were beautiful. It was a senior community to the point there were things that they provided that I was not ready for. I have a part-time job, I do my own meals, and I don't need anyone to clean my apartment. I'm old, but I'm not that old, and I'm not that ready to go into that kind of setting. I'm still pretty independent. What they have is beautiful for those that need it, but I didn't need all of those things, and even if they took all of those extra items out of my rent, if they didn't have to supply those things, my rent was still not cheap. I can't do $1000 for two bedrooms. They have a lot of amenities, the meals, they will clean your apartment if you need it, bus rides where they could go to different things in the city, shopping, to the casino, and some other things. They took care of them well. The one person we met was very personable. She knew what she was doing and she knew what she was talking about. The facility was well taken care of and it was clean. Their dining room was orderly and clean. The way it's built, with all the trees and everything, the apartments were dark, even though each room had windows. I was visiting a friend who lived there and sitting on the inside, it was dark and it was in the middle of the afternoon. It was a nice place; it was just too dark. I like the fact that it was cottage-style. There was no one over your head. Everything was a single floor and that was nice, but I would not want to stay there. It was just too dark and too small.

My mother was in Hilltop Village. She's been there almost three years. It's beautiful, and we had no major issues. She didn't participate in a lot of things, but they did a lot with the seniors. They took them shopping, they scheduled doctor's stuff, they had bingo, they had live bands that came in, they had birthday celebrations of the month, and you got to have two guests. Their food at the events was better than on a daily basis.

I went to Hilltop Village. They seemed interested. The staff went over and beyond to show me all around the facility. She told me what was offered. She told me how I'm independent now, but in the future I can transition with the help they have. They have other services, too. From what I saw, everything looked especially clean. The lawn was manicured really well. I love the rooms. It would be everything I would be looking for. There is a grocery store across the street.

I didn't like Hilltop Village. When we first walked in the lady that I was supposed to meet was not there. That really was not professional. She didn't tell me that she was not gonna be there. I got there at 5:00 and we waited in the front area until 5:10, then they called back and they found out the lady had left. She is the one that shows you around. After that, they called for a worker to come back who couldn't even show us the room. They need a lot of updates in that building. The carpet was nasty. The front area where we sat was dusty looking. After we sat down and waited, we really didn't ask too many questions. The staff just showed us a room and that was it, and then we left. We didn't get a chance to sit down with somebody to tell us what they had.

Hilltop Village was great. The lady who gave me the tour was very nice and informative. The apartments were very nice and roomy. The dining area was large, nice, and looked clean. It's a nice neighborhood, quiet, and lots of stores were right in the immediate area. The staff member was very courteous and professional.

Hilltop Village is wonderful. I will be moving in at the end of August into a one-bedroom suite with a kitchen. I will also have a carport for my car. The director showed me the community and spent at least 20 minutes telling me about the place. They offer meals and laundry, but you have to pay for them. I will have a kitchen, but if I wanted to have meals, I could have meals. They have a large dining area and will supply the meals, but I would have to pay for them. If I need transportation, I would have to pay for that, too. There's a community fee that has to be paid, too. Hilltop Village didn't have any amenities except that it is a nice, quiet, clean community.

I visited Hilltop Village. The 1-bedroom was nice, and the 2-bedroom had common areas in-between which were also nice. They had places where the residents could meet and have services, they had a small workout room, a large dining hall, and an activity scheduled every day. They also have activities off-campus.

Hilltop Village is right next door to where I live now. Everything is A-1. The staff knows their job. They have bingo and cards, but I don't participate in any of that. It's very nice and well kept.

I was very impressed with Hilltop, but my father couldn't afford it. The rooms were like individual rooms, and I liked that he wouldn't be sharing. I was impressed with their programs. They had a lot of activities for the seniors to do. They took them on mall trips and to the grocery stores where they could do their shopping. They had bingo nights, and every day they had something going on. They also had extra outside excursions where they took them to movies or even to the casino, and you don't even had to pay extra for those. I also liked the fact that they had somebody come in to remind him of his meds and stuff like that. However, the price was not something that he would be able to afford. The lady who showed me around was very nice. I liked the fact that she had called me back just to follow-up and what not. Overall, I really liked the place and wanted him to be there. I am still looking for funding right now. I would recommend it to anyone who could afford to stay there.
