"We went to Vitalia Mentor for a tour. It is beautiful. However, we are the first generation of not being blue collar. We are kind of in the middle of the middle class, and the Vitalia Mentor was a little bit snooty. It just felt like you didn't want to touch anything. It was set up beautifully. They emphasized that they had food available all the time. But, it didn't feel like my mom, who grew up on a farm, was going to fit in there. Nevertheless, I could see friends of mine bringing their parents to live there in a heartbeat. It's very nice. It is just not suitable for Mom. The building is only three years old, but it is not homey. The lady who did the tour was very friendly and very nice. She listened to Mom really well. We only saw one apartment because I don't think there were any empty units. There is also no place to sit outside there for the residents. The amenities were the same. They had a big theater set up to watch movies, which was nice. A laundry room is available, like the other place. They have a small gym. The staff didn't really say too much about the activities, which is one of the main reasons we want to move my mom where she is around other people. However, there were more people in the hallways and residents to say hello to or that kind of thing at Vitalia Mentor than there were at the other place. They have a whole kitchen thing available with all kinds of food, and it's like being at home. The room was considerably smaller than the other place, and maybe that was because somebody was living there; it wasn't just staged, and so therefore he had more stuff in there, so that could be. It turns out that they were also out of our price range. The staff member who gave the tour was pretty tuned in; she did a good job."

"Parker Place was very nice but it was also very pricey. They have three cooked meals a day in the dining room, a cleaning service, a bed change service, rides to the doctors and stores, outings to casinos, and Bingo nights. They have a lot going on."

"I toured Rose Senior Living Beachwood for assisted living. The apartment style was very nice. They supply a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. They supply three meals a day."

"We visited Danbury for a lunch tour with Mara. She was so sweet and helpful with the start of our search of assisted living for my husband and I. The building was very clean and smelled good. The lunch was tasty and the servers were kind. Everyone was very friendly"

"My aunt moved to Vista Springs in Painesville. She's only been there for a little bit so she's under quarantine, and other than being advised that this is a great place by the hospital, I really don't know much about it. I was very, very impressed with the management style, and my aunt absolutely loves her studio apartment. We set it up just like her bedroom at her son's house. She's in assisted living, she's 96, but able to function on her own. She doesn't prepare meals, but it's not a nursing home. I visited the facility prior to her move in and it was very clean, appealing to the public eye, and the staff seemed to be very caring. I would highly recommend this to anybody. I have not seen any activities during my visit because this is prior to my aunt being placed there. You can basically look at it online, so I did more of checking online than in person. They had activities before COVID, but they follow the COVID rule as far as masks, social distancing, and testing. She tested negative when she moved there, but they're kept under quarantine anyway because she moved from a rehab facility to Vista Springs and she had COVID before she went to rehab from the hospital."

"The clinical staff were so kind and welcoming! The Health & Wellness Director was able to answer questions we had and was very friendly to my Mom during the tour. The rooms are spacious and tidy. The atrium is beautiful. Our family is very grateful that we found Hamlet."

"I paid a visit at Solon Pointe at Emerald Ridge and I learned they accepted Medicaid. Everything was very nice, from the staff to the rooms. The staff was helpful and accommodating. "

"I went to Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. I talked with one of the admissions people, but they were way out of our price range. The staff members were very friendly from the tours that I took. I didn't get to see them interact with anybody. I went there because they had sent out mailings and I got a mailing in my home. One of their staff members put on a presentation about downsizing. I was kind of interested in that and that's why I went in the first place. I just saw the rooms from the doorway, but I didn't see a lot. However, the staff member who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very informative, and very kind. There was an exercise room, too."

"The tour we had at Vitalia Rockside - Active Adult Community was very nice. The young lady that I worked with was so sweet. She made me feel comfortable. I had some questions that she said she would look into for me and she also told me, "You can come here and join us for things. If you want, I'll send you a calendar when things go on and you could come and join us." I thought that was nice. It's modern. They didn't have a lobby or a place where people could go outside of their rooms. All they had in the middle of it that I saw was their dining area. There weren't a lot of rooms like seating rooms and things like a lot of them have. They said there was a library on another floor, but I didn't see it. The food was awesome. They offered me lunch. The menus were very good. I had an omelet and it was very good. They have a bakery and things, restaurant style, where you can just go and get something all day whenever you want. The chef is good. They gave me strawberries, and they were fresh and so good."

"My father was at Mount Alverna Village. When he was there, he did get excellent care. They were very attentive and very knowledgeable medical-wise. They took really good care of him. Well, my dad didn't participate in anything. The only thing my dad did was go to Mass every morning, so I don't really know what they provide. The food was very good. You could tell it was home-cooked, and it was really good food. The dining room was small, but I think they did that on purpose so people can socialize. It was clean, and it had a very nice homey atmosphere. "

"The man who toured me at The Normandy was very nice, but not familiar with everything. The facility is very nice, but I cannot afford it. I saw an apartment, and it has a living room and one large bedroom with a beautiful bathroom. I saw some ladies knitting. They have restaurant style dining, and they don’t accommodate special dietary needs. I like that it’s near the lake, and they offer transportation. "
