"My husband is a resident of Heritage of Euclid's assisted living. So far, the staff is friendly, and they are doing a pretty good job. I would describe his room as being adequate. I would say the upkeep is okay, and the activities are pretty good. My husband is not very active, but I've seen them doing crafts and taking the residents out. For amenities, they have a salon, and that's about it."

"I have moved into Richmond Heights Place. It's clean and nice, there's no problem with it. The staff is okay. The ones I come in contact with have been very nice. The only problem I have, as with every assisted living nursing care, is that there are not enough people. One of the bad things is that your care has been cut in half. The room is okay, it's L-shaped. At one end of the room is the bed and table, and there's also another table at the right-side area. On the other side, there's a couch, a TV, a table, and a bookcase. I have my dresser from my home and a nice closet. They have a beauty salon and other amenities. I have not gone to the gym because I have been having care in my room. They have movies and people that do different things, and they have bingo. They clean the room once a week and they shower you sometimes too. There's not enough staff. The value for money is okay, but I think all nursing homes are expensive. The food is okay. I'm not thrilled with the food, it's not bad, but it's not great."

"Brookdale Mentor was adequate. It's clean and the lady who gave the tour was extremely helpful and nice. They had activities. Like they had four or five things going on every day. I just didn't care for the lack of closet space in the room and that the rooms were kind of small."

"It was beautiful. At the moment, I would love to go there. It was an enjoyable tour. The apartments were very beautiful. They were big, they had a whole kitchen, and they had big windows, which was nice. You would not feel closed in. They showed me a list of activities, and it looked very nice. Sometimes, they had music at night for entertainment. They even had a happy hour. They would serve you 2 drinks, and then they cut you off. So, you're only allowed 2 drinks. The people I met walking around were very friendly. They all said hello. It was a very nice place. The staff who assisted me was very nice, very pleasant, very helpful, and very knowledgeable."

"I toured Cedar Living at Mayfield Heights. The facility was nice and clean, and it was a small community, which I appreciated. The rooms were not too large, which would be very good for my mom. They were simple rooms where anyone could be monitored very easily. It had a nice, roomy, public area for residents to dine, or enjoy activities. It was a pleasure speaking with the administrator. It was more like a home setting. You have a great room for activities, an open format for dining, and a fireplace. It was simple, but very nice, modern, and they had a nice courtyard where residents could walk around, enjoy the gardens, and sunshine. And they had a very good ratio of staff to residents. The staff seemed to be very attentive to the residents. You could see what everyone was doing, and that was good."

"I looked at The Villas at King David. It was a beautiful facility. They had very nice spacious suites. I liked everything about it; it was just too far away from family for me. But they have beautiful rooms. They supply refrigerators and microwaves. They have a laundry service, and they have a barber there. They have everything you need. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very nice. She explained everything well. With the questions I asked, she was very patient with me. She did a good job showing me everything. I even sat down and ate lunch with her, and the food was good. The building itself was very nice and very clean."

"I had lunch at Deer Creek Lodge and it was OK. The facility was very nice. The people and the staff were really friendly. The rooms were a very nice size compared to other rooms that I've seen. It was very clean."

"Starkey Place was very homey and very clean; it reminds you of a little bread cottage. The staff has been wonderful, they were very welcoming and caring. It’s a small community; I think only 10 people are there. They have absolutely wonderful food; they make all of their food every day. "

"We visited Brookdale (Homewood at Rockefeller Garden). The staff was very helpful. I liked them a lot. They were nice, homey, and comfortable. We looked at the dining room. It looked nice and clean, and it was open. They had some sort of exercise going on for the residents, and some were some sitting and talking in the cafeteria and in the lounge area. We saw different places, and it was the best one -- I think -- because it was well kept-up and clean, and the people were friendly. The rooms were nicer than the ones that we saw from the other facilities that we looked at. It seemed to be secured and safe enough. "

"This was the perfect choice for my mom. The facility is all on one floor which makes walking relatively easy to access craft sessions and meals. If mom is not feeling up to the walk, her meal is delivered to her in her room. The staff is warm and caring, dedicated to giving the best medical and personal care possible. Mom's room, a studio, is just the right size for her and her cat. There also is an on-site beauty salon providing once a week hair care for the residents. "This facility is more than a 5 star facility. If the aesthetics aren't enough, the staff is outstanding. You feel as though you are the only one they have to serve. The residents were all happy, smiling and it was obvious they were well cared for. I had an opportunity to view the meal presentation and it was amazing! I would strongly recommend this facility for your loved one. "

"I toured Rose Senior Living - Beachwood last January. We're just waiting on the Veterans Aid Services. The staff was really helpful. They answered everything that we needed. All in all, it was really pleasant. It was spotless. I didn't see one speck of dirt or mold. It was really nice. Their patio area is fairly new. The grounds are well-kept, as well as the common area where they can get coffee, cakes, donuts, or things like that. It's really clean. It's up to date and very modern."
