My uncle moved to Maple Ridge Senior Living. I like the family atmosphere, the kindness, and the welcoming staff. They are willing to accept my uncle's limitations and do what they can to help him get well. I love the activities that they offer and we love the cottage setting. You can tell that they picked their staff very carefully. I haven't tried the food but the meals are very nutritious and well balanced. When you walk in the doors, you hear beautiful piano music playing, and it's just a beautiful facility. Everything's brand new and the furniture is new. It's a beautiful cottage and the grounds are gorgeous. The flowers are blossoming. They have a pretty gazebo. They said that in the summertime they do concerts outside for the residents. They have the rocking chairs out for them to sit in the beautiful weather. I also like the fact that they can do his laundry. It's a superb care that he's getting.

Maple Ridge Senior Living seemed well taken care of. What I liked about it was that they have cottages and there are only about 15 residents per cottage, and it feels more like a home. The staff seemed friendly. They have like a community room. I also saw the dining area. It's set up like a home, and there's a kitchen there. It seems like the kitchen area is in the back of the building, so you get to look out into the backyard as you're eating. They have several different options, so it kind of pretty much meets everyone's needs. They go from a studio to a two-bedroom. They seemed okay. When comparing the two facilities I visited, I like how Maple Ridge was all one floor and there were only 15 people per cottage. But there's no shower in each of the apartments. There's like one shower area where each resident gets a turn to use. Also, they don't get a microwave or a mini-fridge. All your eating is done in the community area, but you can get meals to your room. If you have any special meals, you have to keep them in the regular community fridge.

My husband and I visited. We spoke with Tatiana. She gave us a tour of the whole area. We walked around the exterior and we looked at a studio apartment, the kitchen facilities, and the shower facilities, and it was very organized and clean. We're looking for assisted living for now, but my friend has been diagnosed with dementia, and it doesn't get better, and it will worsen over time. She may be in assisted living now and then at some point need the memory care unit. I was very impressed with Tatiana. She was most helpful. The studio room was quite small, but my friend didn't object to that. There was room for a bed, a dresser, a comfortable chair, and a night table. That's about it. That's the smallest of the units. There's a couple of larger rooms though. The dining area was very, very clean, very efficient, and well equipped with a large refrigerator and freezer, and there was sort of a snack tray that was accessible throughout the day with packaged snacks. They had craft groups and an exercise session, and perhaps some of these are optional, depending on the interest or skill of the person. They seemed to have more than adequate activities. They have various trips. It seemed like they had plenty of activities, and there was entertainment periodically. It's conveniently located for those of us in Lake County.

The community had multiple buildings. The staff was very friendly. Each building has a common area and rooms around it. They do group activities, too.

It was very nice, but we only had my uncle there for respite care. The set up is different with separate cottages, which was an advantage because my uncle saw the same nurses. The staff was very nice. He liked the food there, too. The room was very nice. As he was there for respite care, they provided him with a furnished room knowing that he would be moving out eventually. It was a nice studio apartment. The only problem with them was that none of the rooms had showers, just a toilet and a sink, so everybody had to be taken somewhere for their showers twice a week. I would recommend it.

I went here for my mother. I like the other facility better, but this facility was a very nice place as well. I like the layout of the place and I like the area. The residents seemed quiet and subdued. They seemed like they were happy. I wouldn’t have mind my mother staying there as well.

It was an excellent facility. The individual that came out was very professional and the service that we got was outstanding. They have lots of parking and it was well light. There was no debris anywhere and the location was beautiful. I would give them a high remark.

I would give this facility a 4. I like the idea of the cottages. It gives it a more personal feel. The rooms were small though and many of them did not have shower.

I went here first because it was so convenient and it was so nice. I've decided on it right away. The place is very nice and clean. They have really friendly people there. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend them to others.

I like it for my father. It was a very good visit. The staff were great and very helpful. I knew that they would look out for him. Their dining room was good. I was looking for a separate unit for him, however, the only one that they had had two doors, one leads outside and the other one goes into the inside where all the other residents were sitting in a common area and it was right outside his door. He doesn't like that. We need something that's separate where he has his own room and he can do his own cooking. We want him to stay independent.
