My cousin moved to Maple Ridge Senior Living's memory care unit. We've been finding that the nurse aides and the facility are very accommodating. They've been really good about a lot of things, too. The upkeep is very good, although sometimes we go in there, and my cousin's room is a little bit messy, and we'd like it to be cleaned up, but it's not terrible. She's just not capable of doing much cleaning. Other than that, she likes the food there. I also like the place because it's a one-floor facility, so you just walk into the unit and you don't have to go up an elevator or anything like that. It's nice and very quaint there. They have a public room that has a lot of bookshelves and things like that, so that's maybe their library. We celebrated my cousin's birthday there in a nice room where we ordered pizza. They had a nice accommodation with that. Their staff members are really good. They are friendly girls, and I like them. They're always pleasant anytime you ask them for something. They're also very accommodating. They have some art classes that they're doing. They also celebrate when someone has a birthday. We threw our own party for my cousin, but they celebrated a birthday for her as well. I haven't tried their food, but I asked my cousin, and she likes it. I would say that the value for money is really pretty good. They do her laundry twice a week, and they'll straighten out her room probably twice a week, too. Maybe that's why we've seen a little bit of disarray at times. Other than that, it has a nice homey atmosphere. We put pictures on the wall, and they were okay with all that. It's a nice little room. Not huge but nice.

The place is so understaffed that my mother got so tired of crapping herself waiting for an assistant to bring a bedpan, she eventually just decided to stop eating so she wouldn't soil herself anymore. My mother passed away from lack of eating. Plus the setup is ridiculous how the nursing assistants and nurses have to float between buildings. Takes them forever to help the patients.

Maple Ridge Senior Living seemed wonderful. They were very friendly. It was beautiful. It's just not affordable. They were very attentive and brought in lunch, and it was really good. It was clean, and the structure wasn't falling apart. The atmosphere was very comforting. They were having some kind of party in the lounge. They had music outside. The size of the rooms was OK.

My uncle moved to Maple Ridge Senior Living. I like the family atmosphere, the kindness, and the welcoming staff. They are willing to accept my uncle's limitations and do what they can to help him get well. I love the activities that they offer and we love the cottage setting. You can tell that they picked their staff very carefully. I haven't tried the food but the meals are very nutritious and well balanced. When you walk in the doors, you hear beautiful piano music playing, and it's just a beautiful facility. Everything's brand new and the furniture is new. It's a beautiful cottage and the grounds are gorgeous. The flowers are blossoming. They have a pretty gazebo. They said that in the summertime they do concerts outside for the residents. They have the rocking chairs out for them to sit in the beautiful weather. I also like the fact that they can do his laundry. It's a superb care that he's getting.
