Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon

We know a couple of people who were at Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. Our friends seemed well-adjusted after a long period of time there. My impression was that the staff was very good, and they seemed to be enjoying the support they were getting in terms of meals. It's nicely located in the community. It's easy for local families to get there, and for those who still drive, and for them to have a reasonable sense of normal life in the community. They have a workout area, a theater, and a place for people to meet. The dining area was nice. It's a relatively new facility, so I think it's contemporary and fits my expectations for an assisted or independent living dining room. The facility is enormous, and it keeps growing. There are a lot of people who play Bridge and other games, and it seems like it's not hard to get into a regular card game or other kind of game.

We were happy with Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. They have very small rooms, but they have a lot of what my mom needs as far as the care. They cook and clean, and have a big restaurant-type cafeteria downstairs. They have a garden. The building is only 3 or 4 years old. It seems good. We left a deposit, and we have 30 days to decide if we want to do it or not. What stood out to us were the amenities they offered and how new the place was. It was very clean, very new, and very hotel-looking. And the people there were extremely nice. The food looked and smelled very good. The staff was very polite and not pushy.

I went to Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. I talked with one of the admissions people, but they were way out of our price range. The staff members were very friendly from the tours that I took. I didn't get to see them interact with anybody. I went there because they had sent out mailings and I got a mailing in my home. One of their staff members put on a presentation about downsizing. I was kind of interested in that and that's why I went in the first place. I just saw the rooms from the doorway, but I didn't see a lot. However, the staff member who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very informative, and very kind. There was an exercise room, too.

Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon was very large, but I did like it. The facility was very clean. The staff was just very helpful and answered all my questions. The amenities were very good. They have a gym, a salon, a recreation room, and a party room.

Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon is a brand new place. It had plenty of activities for the seniors to partake in. They had a swimming pool, chair yoga, chair volleyball, and other things. They also had fitness classes, games, a library, and a movie room with discussions going on. It seemed like a very nice place. The apartments were pretty nice. They had studio apartments as well as one and two-bedroom apartments. You have to bring your furniture. The lady that was giving the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. She engaged in conversation with my wife's cousin and got to know all about her and everything. There were a couple of residents who came up and said hi, too. We saw the menu and it seemed like there was good food in the cafeteria.

We made arrangements to move into the Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. We wanted a two-bedroom, and they don't have any available yet, but we gave them the deposit, now I'm in the queue. It's relatively new. We've eaten there a couple of times and the food was terrific. Everybody that we've encountered has just been amazingly friendly from the staff to the residents. It seems that there are a lot of programs that will be available to us when we're there. The facility is very well kept. It's very close to where we live, so we're not going to be going far from the things we're familiar with. Shaq was terrific. They have a full kitchen. They have a courtyard there.
