"We have decided to stay at The Waterford, and we are on the waiting list. They have fulltime nurses, and the staff is pretty good. It’s a new place comparatively, and we’re very pleased with what we saw. The atmosphere is very pleasant and homey. "

"We went to Richmond Heights Place a couple of years ago. We liked it. It is convenient to my brother where he lives in Richmond Heights, and my niece who lives in South Euclid. The person who gave the tour was nice, gave us information, brochure, and took us on a tour. The room was clean, nice, and didn't have an odor. My mother wasn't quite set on it at that time because she wanted a 1-bedroom with a living room and dining room, or a living room and a kitchen. The living atmosphere was very nice, and they seemed to offer different kinds of amenities."

"Myers Apartments is on Cedar Road. They're an independent living facility, and they share the swimming pool and the grounds with another facility. If my brother started at Myers Apartments in independent living, but he got ill, he could then be transferred over to that facility. We all saw the apartment that my brother would have. It was very, very nice, and he had a nice patio. The only reason he is not going to go there is that it's $1,500. It's out of his budget, although they take Section 8 now. They were willing to assist with the paperwork. In the meantime, he would have to pay the $1,500 until they approved the Section 8. They have excellent staff. It was a wonderful facility. We got to take the lunch, and it was a very good diet that they have going. The food is prepared right there, and it was excellent. It is not inclusive, so it is charged to your room, and you pay for that in your rent monthly. It's like an apartment. It has the kitchen, the one bedroom, a living area, and a little, but very nice patio. It has eight libraries. They provide the laundry service, or he could do it himself. There was no additional charge for the laundry. His room is right around the corner from the laundry service. They have a little store in the facility. They have their own little greenhouse. I loved the greenhouse. They have a nice outdoor patio for everyone because they provide weekly get-togethers."

"I toured Hamlet at Chagrin Falls. The individuals I met with were very professional and cordial. They took me on a tour of their facilities and explained thoroughly what would be required financially to be dwelling in their community, as well as their meals and the kind of support and activity going on. The upkeep was very good, and the size of the rooms was good. The dining area was very well-organized and very clean. I saw their library, community meeting area, and activities area."

"The rooms are great and wide enough for scooter or wheelchair. Interactions with the staff is great!!!!"

"The Woods at Solon Pointe was a very nice facility. The food was delicious. It was like gourmet restaurant quality and worthy of being paid for. The people working there were very nice. They just couldn't accommodate both my in-laws. There's a lot of shopping around the community. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair and she could've gotten around by herself in the actual community or outside. It's a beautiful facility."

"We were happy with Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. They have very small rooms, but they have a lot of what my mom needs as far as the care. They cook and clean, and have a big restaurant-type cafeteria downstairs. They have a garden. The building is only 3 or 4 years old. It seems good. We left a deposit, and we have 30 days to decide if we want to do it or not. What stood out to us were the amenities they offered and how new the place was. It was very clean, very new, and very hotel-looking. And the people there were extremely nice. The food looked and smelled very good. The staff was very polite and not pushy."

"My sister is at Vitalia Rockside Active Adult Community. I like everything about it. I like the size of the rooms and the meal plans. Everybody is very friendly. She is in a mini apartment. She opted for the one that has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. The food is very good. The dining area is clean, big, and accommodating. You can order food just about all day long until about 6:00. It's a regular restaurant where they have a menu and specials every day. They have all kinds of activities, too. They have card games, they have puzzles to put together, they have different crafts during the day, and they have field trips. I think the value for money is good."

"My husband was in Mt. Alverna Village. He was in a shared room but each resident was on each side, so it looked like they had private rooms. The staff were there when he needed them and they kept him clean. The care he got seemed good and his condition improved. "

"My mother chose the Governor's Port. We toured it on November 1st. I would say everything was more than above board and everything was fine. The room which is a one- bedroom, living room, kitchenette and big bathroom with a walk-in shower was very, very nice. And so was the dining room, it was very nice. The staff was wonderful. We went over some statistics, dollars, and things. They gave us a little brochure, and then we went on a tour of the facility, and everything was very good."

"It was relatively new. It was beautiful, clean, very lovely, and large, but too expensive for my mother. The location was wonderful. It's right off of I-90. It was easy to get to for all of my family members living in that area. There was a really good safety factor there. We did tour the rooms, and I saw the different stations where there were activities. It was basically empty when I was there. "

"I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of this particular assisted care facility. The staff was impeccably professional and helped my father through a difficult time. They treated him with dignity and respect, and were always there when he needed assistance. The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and well-designed. My father was even impressed by the food that was served. Since my father is severely handicapped, it was important to us to find an assisted care facility that could truly take full care of him and not leave him by himself for very long. The staff did not disappoint us. They were always available for my father when he needed assistance with anything (even if he did something small, like drop a book and not be able to pick it up). The staff always completed such tasks with a smile and never made him feel as if he was a burden. One staff member in particular sticks out (I will not mention her name). This particular person was always very helpful and attentive. She made sure that not only my father was taken care of, but myself as well if I was visiting him. If I ever need to make the decision to put someone in an assisted care facility again, I will surely choose Breckenridge. "
