I'm a current resident of Springwood of Hudson. The staff is very caring. The director of the facility, Tammy, is very interested in the lives of all the residents that live here, and she is very good at planning activities that are fun and things that we all enjoy doing. The housekeeper and the maintenance man are very accommodating. My apartment is a one-bedroom. It's like an open floor plan. It's got a very nice large kitchen with a very good counterspace. Everything is self-controlled, like the AC and the heat. It's got a nice balcony and the bathroom is pretty large. It's basically a handicap accessible type bathroom with a shower chair and grab bars. The bedroom is nice and roomy. There are different floor plans. There's another one bedroom with a den and two-bedroom plans. They've got a heated car garage that is well lit. Everybody has an assigned parking spot. It has a nice, large community room with a TV in there and a small kitchen, just with a stove and a refrigerator. It has an outdoor space where there's a table, chairs and umbrellas. There's a pond in front of it. As far as activities, there are weekly things. There's weekly bingo and weekly card games. Twice a month, there's either a birthday celebration luncheon or a brunch. There are outings which could be like a community outing to shopping or to a special event. There are quite a few activities that go on here. It's very nicely landscaped. You feel like you're a little ways out, but you're close to town. You're like maybe two miles from Hudson, which is a little town, but this actual development is very quiet and it's like a country feel. There are really no meals here per se, except those two events I was talking about. The rent has gone up quite a bit since I've been here. I chose it because I have a son and daughter-in-law that live in Hudson.

My wife and I both live here in Springwood of Hudson and what it affords us to do is that we no longer have to take care of a house or a lawn or anything like that. Everything here is provided and they take very good care of the building. Your rent includes all problems. We had a microwave go out and they came in and fixed it. It didn't cost me anything because it's part of living here. The other thing that's really nice is it's a really good community. There's a lot of people here that we've met we've become friends with. There is indoor parking, which is something you don't find anywhere. So in the wintertime, that's really nice. The staff takes good care of us. They come in and clean the apartment twice a month. We have all sorts of group activities, which keeps us active and that's what we love about the place. They do not provide meals. Since it's independent living, you cook your own meals and my wife and I do. They cater in lunch twice a month. Everything is provided when you move in. You have a washer and dryer in the apartment, so you don't have to go to a laundry room or anything like that, which makes it really nice and convenient. The lady who runs the building, Tammy, does a great job of keeping everything moving. They have a maintenance guy that's in the building and he's here five days a week, and he comes in on the weekends if something happens and takes care of the building. They have two people on the cleaning staff and they clean all 60 apartments twice a month for everybody. They do a really good job of keeping this place nice. They have activities that are brought in from the outside two or three times a month. They have trips where they will take people out. They'll have a bus and you can go on bus tours and go on trips. There's a lot of activities run by the residents. For instance, card games in the evening are run by residents. We make up our own activities. They do a good job of trying to keep people entertained. You get a lot of value for what you get, but it is pricy. There is a pond out front and there is also a patio in the back with a grill and a firepit. There are things that you can do outside, and a lot of times people sit outside and have lunch. They bring their lunch down, or they will use the grill that's provided. You can fire it up and cook your own meals down there if you like.

I'm the first resident who ever moved into Springwood of Hudson. It's totally independent. It's a wonderful place to live. It's very congenial and very cordial and it has lots of activities. If you want to participate, you can. If you don't want to, you don't have to. Everything is here. All you have to do is bring your furniture. We have groups that do various things, that is crafts, movie, exercises, and the participants are the residents. We have a man here that was a chiropractor. In fact, he's doing a stretching session right now. We have a beautiful outdoor patio. It has a grill, tables, and umbrellas. The staff is wonderful.

I'm a resident of Springwood of Hudson. I've been here for over five years now. I love everything about living here. We have wonderful management. We have great staff, maintenance, and housekeeping. The building itself is very lovely and we have a lot of programs that go on here. There's a lot things to do. We have a great community where everybody gathers. Everybody cares about everybody. It's a really nice community to live in. It is independent living, so you go and come as you please. We have climate-controlled garages, which is huge, so you never have to worry about your car being out in the extreme heat or in bad weather. You don't have to worry about scraping snow off your car. There's a lot of really, really nice features living here. There are no little kids or anything like that here. You have everything. We have granite countertops in the kitchen. All your appliances are here when you come in, washer and dryer, dishwasher, oven, and microwave. You control your own heat and air-conditioning. For me, everything was brand new because I was one of the first people here in this apartment. The apartments are spacious. There's great closet space. I think even in the smallest apartments, people don't feel cramped. There are many different styles of one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. There is a choice in what layout you like. Everything is done by square footage. It's a very comfortable space. You make your own meals. There is a meal plan where you can go over to another building, Danbury, and you can get eight meals a month over there if you wish. We have two meals here a month, which is a birthday luncheon and a brunch that's provided here, but basically, you do your own grocery shopping and you do your own cooking. The staff is wonderful. They're always ready to help you. We have maintenance. If you need something repaired or something, we need light bulbs or whatever, you just put a slip in and the maintenance man comes and takes care of everything. You have housekeeping twice a month. The housekeeper is wonderful. They're friendly. They do a great job. Our director is fantastic. She's always doing everything for the residents. Her priority is the residents and their care and programs that she comes up with. We have a great staff. They're always cleaning, cleaning carpets, and cleaning elevators. They're always doing everything. It's just a really lovely place to be. We have activities all the time. We have a book club. We have craft projects. There's no cost to them. If there is a program being brought in that you might have to pay for, you'll know ahead of time if you have to do that. We go on outings like twice a month where our director will get a bus and we will go somewhere. There's no cost for the transportation, but there might be cost for the program. It depends on what it is. Every apartment has a deck or a patio. You have your own outdoor space and then we do have a patio off of our community room where a lot of functions are held. There is a firepit and a grill and there are tables and chairs and people gather out there. If you want to cook something on the grill, you're certainly welcome to do all that or sit around the firepit.

I am a current resident of Springwood of Hudson. I've only been here a couple of months. I was told about all the different activities they provide here, so I checked it out and here I am. I was reluctant to come over here. I'm 76 years old. I'm healthy but my husband died, and so I was feeling a little insecure. As soon as I came over, the manager here, Tammy, was just so welcoming and so helpful in showing me around everything, that I was hooked right away. She was great at answering all my questions and making me feel like this was the right place for me. It's not an old folks' home. Tammy does all kinds of activities with us, takes us to special field trips to different places. We have activities here in the big social area. Everybody here as well as the maintenance people are incredible, everybody does a really nice job, and everybody's friendly. This apartment is perfect for me. It is a large two-bedroom, two-bath, with a little balcony porch. There is an indoor parking area, which is nice, especially in the wintertime, to be able to park your car. It's really a lovely facility. The other thing that I really like about it is we back onto a lake and a golf course. I have the woods in front of me right now. As the leaves fall, then I'll see more of the lake and the golf course. You're not looking out at a bunch of other buildings. They do not provide meals. This is an independent apartment, so you get your own food, but twice a month they provide a meal like a breakfast. We have a breakfast for the community. There is a retirement home right next door, so we can go right over there for eight meals a month for free. On the 4th of July, we had a party and a big barbecue. This past weekend, we had another cookout and big party. They provide those kinds of things. They provide games, card games, and bingo. It's fun, we laugh and have a good time. Nobody gets upset or anything like that. Sometimes we go on a shopping trip or sometimes Tammy will take us to a nice restaurant someplace. We sign up for those things. Tammy will drive the little Danbury bus and provide transportation for us. We also have crafts. Several of the ladies here like to provide different crafts to teach us, hat making and some of the other things. Tammy does crafts with us as well. We've done some painting activities and some simple crafty things. We have something planned every day. Tomorrow, they are supposed to take a pontoon boat ride on one of the lakes. They have a men's breakfast. We have an exercise class once a week. They also have movies on Saturday nights. We have a big activity room which would also be where we have our meals and we play the games and do our different activities, but they have one of those big screen TVs and they'll put on Netflix and movies. They provide electricity, which is in your heating and air-conditioning. You have to pay for your own internet, but they provide the cable. I've lived in regular apartments before and this is very good. I'm getting the bang for my buck.

I love living at Springwood. I’ve been here almost 3 years now and couldn’t be happier. The rooms are spacious enough to handle all my furniture. The staff is great. Tammy, our manager, is so caring. She takes us on great outings twice a month, and serves wonderful luncheons twice a month. Our housekeeper, Tracy, is fantastic. She not only does a wonderful cleaning twice a month, but cares about her residents well being and happiness. She is absolutely the best!

Apartments are beautiful, and have many amenities , all have decks or patios . Wonderful housekeeping 2x per month and maintenance on staff. This is an independent community, although there are 2 meals provided each month, a birthday luncheon and a brunch in the community room. The monthly rent includes these meals. There is also indoor parking, which is a wonderful feature. The building is secure. There are many activities and ways to get involved with your neighbors if you desire. Internet and TV service included. No transportation to appointments, but bus trips provided to events 2x monthly. This is a wonderful place to call home.

Springwood of Hudson is very nice. All the people that live here are really friendly and very nice. The manager does a great job. The apartment is really nice and big. We like it. The staff is very nice. We have a lady that cleans the apartment and a maintenance guy and then the manager. If you want meals, you have to go next door to Danbury. We don't have meals here. We have our own kitchen. The maintenance guy is very good. He keeps up everything. He does a great job. We have bingo on Monday night. We have crafts Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon, one of the gentlemen here does a talk twice a month. There are cards every night if you want to play, poker for the guys on Thursday night and the ladies play a different game. We have happy hour this afternoon at 3:00. We bring down a snack and our own drink and just sit around and socialize with everyone for an hour to an hour and a half. The owner, twice a month, plans on going out to lunch to different places. Then she has a birthday lunch the second Thursday of the month. She provides that herself and then she has brunch on the fourth Thursday of the month. Value for money is very good. The apartment is very large compared to other apartments. We have a one-bedroom with a big living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Moving to a senior apartment after almost 53 years of marriage is difficult. But tis place is spacious and clean, and everyone has reached out to make me feel welcome and adjust. There are plenty of things to do. Last month's activities included a pontoon boat ride and a winery visit. Tammy, the resident manager, is the glue that makes everything so cohesive.

There are several reasons why I moved to Springwood of Hudson. One, my daughter lives close by. It's also not in a highly populated area, but it was convenient to stores and parks and other things. They allowed me to keep my dog. The apartment is so very nice, without getting into a lot of details, it's just very upscale, very clean, modern-looking, and very comfortable. The layout is very efficient. The staff is wonderful. They bent backward to make sure I was doing okay, that I got moved in okay. When I see them in the hall or different places, they're extremely friendly, very outgoing, and very helpful. In fact, yesterday, the housekeeper came in and cleaned. So, one of the benefits is housekeeping twice a month. I have not participated in any at this point, but they do have lots of programs.

I'm retired and a resident for 7 months at Springwood. Having come from 40 years of private homeownership and adjusting to apartment life has been a challenge. Tammy is great, she and her staff have made my transition very easy. Climate controlled garages are great. Location is quiet, secure and private, yet access to shopping is good. Don't expect perfection as that doesn't exist...but Springwood is a good start.

Springwood Hudson is a wonderful community for anyone 55 and improving! After residing in KY her entire life, my mother relocated to Springwood Hudson to be closer to family. Many of the residents are welcoming, warm, and loving! There are various floorplans and sizes available based on needs and wants. Tammy, the manager is phenomenal! She goes above and beyond and is more than just a manager. Tenants are treated like family! Every month she offers various activities for tenants based on interests. From luncheons, museum, plays, shopping, restaurant and winery outings, there is always something to do at Springwood! Tammy keeps the communal areas beautifully decorated to match the seasons and holidays, always with fresh flowers located somewhere on the premises. The bi-weekly cleaning services are an added bonus and if maintenance was needed, the response was always prompt. If you are 55+ and looking for a place to live, Springwood Hudson is WORTH checking out!

The building is new with nice large hallways, heated resident garages, and a great community room. Resident rooms & closets are large (by comparison to others we toured) and kept very clean. The culture of the residents and management is supportive, friendly, and welcoming - overall very positive. Availability and responsiveness of management is excellent.

Our father has lived at Springwood for the past few years, and we have been very happy with the convenience and sense of community it gives him. The Lifestyle Manager is worth her weight in gold! She is constantly organizing fun events and really makes an effort to look after everyone. We are grateful for the care and support she has provided.”

The Springwood apartments and the rooms within are very well laid out and ideal regardless of mobility. At every level they have taken steps to make sure that all are accommodated. From entrance to the bathroom showers to the entrance into the building from the attached heated parking. The physical design and considerations are excellent. However, what completes the experience is the staff. With excellent leadership from the Facility and Services Manager, the staff was not only outstanding in performing their functions, but, the staff also shows care for all residents and sensitivity for each individual and their circumstances. Life at Springwood was further rounded out and filled in with the various planned community events including recreational, edutainment, shopping, travel events, exercise, and more; it was a wonderful experience for me. Each resident could choose to plug in as much as they wanted. In every positive way possible, residing at Springwood exceeded my expectations.
