"My mother is moving into Mulberry Gardens Senior Living. We chose them because of the amenities, the size of the room, and the food. The staff was phenomenal in helping us and answering all our questions. It impressed us as the most complete care and the nicest setting. They also offer a small discount for veterans' families, which is nice. The tour was great. They have a podiatrist who comes for their nails. They have a hair salon. It's well laid out. It's open, airy, and very pleasant. They seem to be very much on top of their game. They're very knowledgeable and very kind. We talked to a couple of the residents, and everyone seemed very happy. It's beautiful."

"The cheapest place here was Holiday Copley Place, but my husband does need some assistance. They were completely unassisted, but they were affordable. The people were excellent, and the community was beautiful, and everybody seemed well cared for. It was a very nice place. The room sizes were adequate. They weren't huge, but they were nice. The dining area was open and airy, and it seemed like people were there interacting, so that's nice. I liked it. They had a lot of places for people to gather. They had a patio area, and it was nice."

"I toured Brookdale Montrose. They have no pool, but they have two meals a day. It was very nice. I had lunch there and I had a hamburger. It was very good. As for activities, they have everything. They have an exercise room."

"I plan to move into Canton Christian Home. I liked the facilities very much, and the people there were very nice. I know a couple of people who are there already, and this facility will meet my needs. The one that I'm getting is a one-bedroom apartment and that's what I wanted. They had quite a few meeting rooms. The lobbies were very friendly. You could participate in any activity that you might want to do. They will provide meals if you don't want to cook."

"My wife is in the memory care facility of The Gables of Green Senior Living. We like the place very much. It's a little on the expensive side, but she is worth it. I saw it on my own. I didn't make an appointment or anything. I just stopped by to take a look at it. They were very cordial and very willing to show me the place. I was impressed with the newness of it, a couple of years old, I guess. Other than that, we chose it because of its proximity to where I live. It's only about a ten-minute drive, so it's convenient. All of those things went into my decision. I had looked at several other places, and they're all pretty much the same. I think the big point for me was proximity to the home. I'm pretty satisfied. They're a good group of people, and there's a lot of good help down there. My wife is also adapting reasonably well to it. They're working with her now on physical therapy. They've judged that she is having balance problems, so they're trying to do some physical therapy for her to improve her ability to get around."

"My mom is a resident at The Village of St. Edward at Green. It's awesome. The memory care is only spaced for 14 people on one side and 14 people on the other side. When she moved in, there were only 12, and she was the 12th person and no one was on the other side yet. It's good because they are in a contained area and I think it's a lot easier to control Covid because they don't have any Covid cases. They have activities. They send you a calendar of what they're doing. Every Monday and Friday, they have current events, exercise, thinking cap, and TV hours just for the morning. Another day, they have bingo, music therapy, bean bag toss, and puzzles. I like music therapy especially for her because she really likes music. One of the reasons we picked The Village of St. Edward is because it is 10 minutes from my house, 10 minutes from my sister and 15 from my brothers. Also, they could take her from private pay to Medicaid, which was another issue, so that we don't have to move her. I like the people that work there. They are very kind, trained, and know how to approach people and how to calm people. They're very good at their job. Everybody that we have been in contact with has been very helpful. They would tell you whatever little things. We have met all of those involved in her care. The facility is brand new, spacious, and well kept. The activities are excellent. They have at least four activities every day and sometimes more. It's expensive, but they took her for the amount of months we could pay before we try for Medicaid. It's not the lowest, it's not the highest, it's somewhere in the middle."

Furthermore, they respond to phone messages in a timely way. I would recommend Chapel Hill to other families seeking memory care for their relatives."

"My cousin is in Franklin Hall. It is very nice. He has his own room and a little deck to sit on and look at the wooded area. He has his own TV, refrigerator and really likes the other residents. The staff and the owner could not be nicer and my cousin seems to be very happy."

"Bel Air Senior Living Community is nice. I've had a couple things that I brought up to the people in charge, just different stuff about other residents, but overall it's a nice facility. I can't complain. I went to a couple other ones and they weren't like this. I still think that they need to do some improvement at this place though, but the staff is wonderful. Overworked, but wonderful. My brother's room is small. He's got enough to fit his bed, a small table, and his recliner. Then he has his own bathroom. He has a little patio porch that he can step out onto, and then they have the outside area for smoking, but I believe that it should be a covered area because it snows here in Ohio. There's stuff that happens all the time. It doesn't have to be enclosed or anything, but at least have some kind of a roof over the top of their heads; even if it was just like a tent type area or something like that. I like the place, I do. The room is again a little small, and he's got a small little kitchenette in his room. He doesn't do any cooking, so I kind of look at it as kind of part of the assisted living, but I think it's sad how much they charge for any of these places. They provide his meals. They have people that come around and try to get everybody involved, which I'm happy about, because they've actually gotten my brother to be involved in some of their stuff. I didn't think he was going to, but he actually has. They take them out, they go to Walmart, and they go to different places to eat. They have bingo and different games and stuff that they play with the activity people. They are just excellent."

"The team at ManorCare Barberton works so very hard throughout the entire process. My Grandmother was there for several years until her peaceful passing. The staff always treated her like gold. The rooms seem to be very fitting for the population. My grandma really enjoyed bingo, the coffee and talk they would have each morning, and most importantly, I think she enjoyed the sense of family and community that seems to be fostered there. "
