"I am in Danbury Cuyahoga Falls. Good staff. They're all helpful. Some nights, the food is wonderful and if it's not wonderful, they will let us have something else. Sometimes, the maintenance is aggravation. They have a lot of activities. You can choose what you want to do and you can choose what you don't want to do. Value for money is good."

"Mulberry Gardens Senior Living was the best. It was exemplary. There was nothing I complained about with them. They were attentive, they communicated everything with me, and cared for my mother. They were wonderful. She had a ground-floor apartment with a little kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and tons of storage. The layout of the facility was also exemplary. It was very easy to get from one place to another. They had arts and crafts, people coming in to sing and entertain, day trips where they would go to the store, and several parties like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. We ate there many times and the food was fantastic. They had a great chef. Everything about that place was great. The staff cared so much about them. One staff member called me here just a few months ago to ask me how my mother was doing down here."

"I like the openness at Holiday Copley Place. The cost is affordable. They're very friendly and very welcoming. I didn't see any kind of dirt or anything anywhere. All utilities are included in the cost. They provide three meals a day. They have bingo, cards, and board games wherever they can get together and play. They make sure that somebody sees you at least once a day. So if you don't go out of your room, they'll come and check on you."

"Brookdale Montrose was a very, very beautiful facility, but when I asked the question of what would happen if my sister's funds ran out/if she outlived her funds, I was told that they would help us find a place for her. That's not what I wanted to hear. The apartments were very nice. They had a lot of common areas with tables and chairs where people could congregate and do puzzles or whatever. They have several of those areas. Their dining area was nice. The facilities seemed very clean."

"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"Canton Christian Home was nice but it was small and they only had high-rise apartments. They don't have separate homes. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were small, but I would recommend them to others. "

"My mom is in the memory care of The Gables of Green and we're very pleased with it. The people there are all very nice, I feel she's getting excellent care. I like the individual scare, and the staff is very competent. Her room is very pretty and nice. Their maintenance and upkeep are excellent, and it's a relatively new facility. They have an activity director, they get her up and dressed in the morning, and she doesn't get back to her room until bedtime. They have something going on all day. The food is excellent, they have a sous chef that prepares the meals. The dining area is clean and they help the residents eat. They have enclosed patios for memory care patients, and they have other outdoor areas for residents who can get out by themselves. I'm very pleased with the facility but it's ungodly expensive in my opinion. It's a little bit higher than some of the other places I was looking at."

"My mom is a resident at The Village of St. Edward at Green. It's awesome. The memory care is only spaced for 14 people on one side and 14 people on the other side. When she moved in, there were only 12, and she was the 12th person and no one was on the other side yet. It's good because they are in a contained area and I think it's a lot easier to control Covid because they don't have any Covid cases. They have activities. They send you a calendar of what they're doing. Every Monday and Friday, they have current events, exercise, thinking cap, and TV hours just for the morning. Another day, they have bingo, music therapy, bean bag toss, and puzzles. I like music therapy especially for her because she really likes music. One of the reasons we picked The Village of St. Edward is because it is 10 minutes from my house, 10 minutes from my sister and 15 from my brothers. Also, they could take her from private pay to Medicaid, which was another issue, so that we don't have to move her. I like the people that work there. They are very kind, trained, and know how to approach people and how to calm people. They're very good at their job. Everybody that we have been in contact with has been very helpful. They would tell you whatever little things. We have met all of those involved in her care. The facility is brand new, spacious, and well kept. The activities are excellent. They have at least four activities every day and sometimes more. It's expensive, but they took her for the amount of months we could pay before we try for Medicaid. It's not the lowest, it's not the highest, it's somewhere in the middle."

"We loved Chapel Hill Community, but they had no opening. They said you can be put on a waiting list, but there are quite a few ahead of you. The independent living is wonderful, they've got an apartment that's just like home. You've got your own garage, and it's just very, very nice. My friend was very impressed with it and would have taken it in a heartbeat but there was no vacancy. The place was very nice and the independent living houses are beautiful. The staff that we met was very nice. The gentleman that we worked with was very talkative, very upfront, very polite, very cordial, and very helpful. Only one meal a day is included, so lunch is provided. The place is clean and nice, a little dated but I'm sure it would meet the needs of the people that are there."

"One of the reasons why we chose Brewster Parke, Inc. for Mom was that they had Medicaid waivers. I just don't think some of the people are qualified. They need better food and better people that work there. I go down and see my mom quite often when she's eating and they all complain about the food, and I can see why they complain about it. They have a few activities where they bring in people to sing or entertain a little bit, but other than that, I don't see a whole lot there. Their facility is very good. They have separate buildings, and my mom is in one of those buildings. They have a nature trail and a theater."

"Bel Air Senior Living Community is nice. I've had a couple things that I brought up to the people in charge, just different stuff about other residents, but overall it's a nice facility. I can't complain. I went to a couple other ones and they weren't like this. I still think that they need to do some improvement at this place though, but the staff is wonderful. Overworked, but wonderful. My brother's room is small. He's got enough to fit his bed, a small table, and his recliner. Then he has his own bathroom. He has a little patio porch that he can step out onto, and then they have the outside area for smoking, but I believe that it should be a covered area because it snows here in Ohio. There's stuff that happens all the time. It doesn't have to be enclosed or anything, but at least have some kind of a roof over the top of their heads; even if it was just like a tent type area or something like that. I like the place, I do. The room is again a little small, and he's got a small little kitchenette in his room. He doesn't do any cooking, so I kind of look at it as kind of part of the assisted living, but I think it's sad how much they charge for any of these places. They provide his meals. They have people that come around and try to get everybody involved, which I'm happy about, because they've actually gotten my brother to be involved in some of their stuff. I didn't think he was going to, but he actually has. They take them out, they go to Walmart, and they go to different places to eat. They have bingo and different games and stuff that they play with the activity people. They are just excellent."

"The team at ManorCare Barberton works so very hard throughout the entire process. My Grandmother was there for several years until her peaceful passing. The staff always treated her like gold. The rooms seem to be very fitting for the population. My grandma really enjoyed bingo, the coffee and talk they would have each morning, and most importantly, I think she enjoyed the sense of family and community that seems to be fostered there. "
