Danbur North Canton is a great alternative to living in an isolated apartment setting with few opportunities to interact socially. It provides a variety of activities that are both engaging and fun. Meals are delicious and served in a way that makes each resident feel special. My brother’s room is efficient and well maintained and meets his needs quite well. I can not say enough about the staff. They are the perfect combination of professional and personable, showing positivity, empathy and patience. Communication is both efficient and reliable.Danbury North Canton is the perfect choice for independent seniors who need just a little extra TLC! Five stars all the way!"

The Waterford is a three-story 68-unit senior independent living apartment building located on the North Canton Campus of St Luke Lutheran Community in the heart of North Canton, Ohio. The Waterford address is 201 Holl rd. NE North Canton Ohio 44720. We are located close to shopping, swimming, YMCA, library, community buildings, city parks, walking paths. Our building features a number of different styles of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Our rents include dinner Monday-Saturday, and Brunch on Sunday. All utilities are included as well as basic cable and wireless internet and landline telephone. If you have had enough of the big house and yard work, you are not alone. Most of our residents wonder why it took them so long to make the move!

"My parents are new residents and the staff have been kind, attentive, empathetic and accommodating. It is a difficult time in our lives and they made us feel like we aren’t alone and that they truly care. Rooms are light and welcoming with plenty of amenities. My parents feel like they’re in a home away from home. Special thanks to Sarah, Theresa, Eileen, Gloria, and Alex. Each have gone out of their way for us and made us feel heard and seen. "

"My mother has moved into Sanctuary Grande in North Canton. The interiors are very nice. It is clean. The admissions staff is accommodating and focused on problem-solving. The rooms themselves, size- wise, there's a variety. My mom has the smallest room because it was the only one available, but they have larger rooms. There's a lot going on. They have bingo and social hour, like a happy hour. There's an option if they want like a glass of wine, but there's an activity with that. The first day she was there, like on move-in day, they had someone from the community come in, like an Italian restaurant, and share their appetizers and describe things about the menu. It was so much fun. My boyfriend had gone down at one point and said they were hooting and hollering. I said, "Did it scare you, mom?" She was like, "No, it was so fun." The social hour is so active and fun. They have an exercise. There's a lot more participation than in other places. Usually, either no one comes or three people come and then that's not fun for her. She doesn't want to go then, but this place, there are like 20 people that come and then that's fun. The price seemed lower as they were telling me what it was going to be, but when I got the bill a couple of days ago, it was not lower, it was the same as what it was at the other place, so that did strike me as strange. Value for money is good."

"I like everything about Cardinal Village. The layout, lots of activities, food, and transportation. They have everything there. The facility is very nice and very clean. The staff were very friendly. The rooms are a little bit updated. It has a living room with a small bathroom and a kitchen area. They also have a patio that she really likes. They play puzzles and bingo. They also have arts and crafts and a physical therapist that would come around. One of the other main items that we like is they have transportation to take them to the dollar store and to grocery shopping. It’s a great facility. "

"This is a wonderful facility. I believe the building is only about 7-8 years old. Layout and design matter, especially when you're looking for accessibility, community, and a place that is pleasant for a resident's friends and family to visit. We're coming from PT rehab in a similarly new building in Tallmadge at a facility we were also pleased with. I looked for a place that would feel pleasant and dignified for my mom (who was in her own home before, and she's in her 70s) and a place that would feel comfortable and positive to visit too. I think we've found that. Also the common areas and amenities go above and beyond - not just the typical activities recycled from senior living for decades, but some features and activities anyone might like to enjoy in a great modern apartment building community. It's only our move in week, but already the other residents' family members are tipping us off that we made exactly the right decision regarding the food! I would call the dining setup hotel restaurant style. Residents and guests have a choice in when they eat. They order their selection restaurant/waiter style, and some family members were joining residents - a good sign. We hear the food is good! All staff we've encountered are gifted at customer service, extremely courteous, friendly, and totally positive and helpful. The building is bigger, newer, and had some availability when we needed, plus they hustled for us to make it happen, whereas some of the other nice but older facilities had a long or ambiguous waiting list. And the choice was clear. Phew! We're pleased."

"A few years ago i found myself in the position of finding my mother in law a place to live. She really only needed observation. She was fiercely independent but also particular. Independent living was perfect for her. It was clean and safe and nicely decorated. She quickly made new friends, commented positively about activities and meals. We could visit her at almost any time, which was helpful with our schedules. Mom was nearly deaf which made communication frustrating at times. I never witnessed any impatience on the part of the staff. As time went on, we could see that mom needed a little more hands on care. Fortunately the transition was smooth and uneventful. Mom continued to comment on activities, meals, staff, new friends and almost at every visit said,”I do like it here.” Hospice came on board with Danbury staff and both ‘agents’ worked very well together for mom. Changes in moms behavior again became evident. A smooth transition was not traumatic for mom. Communication with staff had always been clear, appropriate and compassionate. Mom passed away in memory care. Danbury staff had always made the difficult changes in mom somehow less painful. They shared the last few years of her life with us in the kindest way possible."

"Danbury Cuyahoga Falls is very homey. The people are very nice, very attentive, and loving. It's everything I would want. They all work hard. They're all pleasant. The meals are OK; there could be some improvement, but that goes with any place. They keep after the place as best as they can considering the number of people that are in and out of here daily. There are many activities and you just pick out what you want to do and do it. They have people that are there to guide you and help you along in whatever you choose. I wish the price was a little lower. Otherwise, I'm staying here. I have no plans of moving out. I'm satisfied."

"What a welcoming atmosphere! You can tell the staff there are very caring, not just towards residents but also eachother. Very clean & warm."

"I have been staying at Smithville Western Care Center since October, and it has been really good. They have been remodeling and repainting the rooms and put a new floor, doors, and fire system in. They've also got new cooks. I had a private room when I first came in, but as I got on Medicaid, I had to share a room. They have crafts, TV shows, different programs, bingo and visiting animals. They also have the best nurses ever. Considering that they do the meals and laundry, I don't consider the price bad."

"The staff and other residents were incredibly helpful and made any visitors and other residents feel very welcome while there. They ran daily shuttles that allowed to residents to do various errands, such as grocery shopping and luncheons with friends and family. The head nurse that worked there would ensure that the resident who requested help always got it, whether it was keeping track of their medication, or taking their blood pressure, or many others tasks. She did this with great enthusiasm and always had a smile on her face, you could tell she really enjoy the work she did. Every time I visited my Grandmother the people at College Hills Retirement I was made to be comfortable and I could see my grandmother was in great hands. I would recommend this facility to anyone in the area that would be looking for a wonderful place for their loved ones to live. "

"The staff is super nice which refreshing because most staff at other places are very rude with visitors. I was very satisfied with how clean and organized the facilities were here. The amount of activities that they had set up on a daily basis for the community to do is pretty extensive. It's all optional but the residents can be busy all day with these activities if they wanted. Overall this place is somewhere I wouldn't mind staying when I get older. "
