"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"Regent of Stow was a nice place I would consider acceptable. They have good staff there. They have a good facility. They have a doctor and nurses that they employ. They have a movie theater and a nice dining hall. They play bingo, and they have recreational activities. The place seemed clean. We were there around lunchtime and people were being served. What I saw on the table looked all right, but we didn't have a chance to sample any of it. The staff during the tour was very nice and pleasant. She's a nurse and one of the management people there."

"It had a lot of activities that got everybody involved. The memory care unit was very clean. It was a brand-new, nice, and clean place. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable. I was very impressed. "

"We went to the Gables of Kent, and it was very nice; they just did not provide end of life care -- which I wanted some place where I wasn’t going to have to move her again. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was as nice as they could be. The food was good too; I have no problem at all with this facility. "

"My mother has been a resident at Danbury in Hudson for 4 months now since needing more care and assistance with medications. She was previously in Springwood, the sister facility for independent living. The transition to Danbury was easy and well-managed by the staff and administration. The staff (nurses, care-givers, dining, maintenance, and front desk/office) have been simply OUTSTANDING. I really can't say enough about how friendly and kind every single person has been to my mom. My sister and I rest much easier knowing she's getting the care and attention she needs. The activities are frequent and varied. In hindsight for my mom wishes she had moved to Danbury sooner. My sister and I advocated for it but mom was too happy with her apartment and friends at Springwood. If she had moved a bit sooner, she would have had an easier time getting into all the activities and options available. The other residents are all friendly and welcoming. The facilities are quite lovely. The common spaces allow for plenty of space to visit with friends and family. The rooms vary in size and most tend to be on the smaller side. That worried mom at first, but her studio apartment is set up quite nicely for her needs and she's quite happy with it. I think the food is above average for an assisted living facility. I like it. The combination of the dining room plus a mix of happy hours, mixers, ice cream Sunday bars, etc. provide good variety. I'll repeat the most important part, the staff, especially the nurses, care-givers and dining staff, are so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's truly impressive to see, and I'm very thankful."

"I toured Heritage Crossing. It's going to fit my needs very well for my mother. The rooms were nice. The pricing was fair from what I'm seeing with the market. I liked it because there were more individual residents versus couples, which made it easier for my mother. In the lobby, everything is very welcoming. I like that they have very nice gathering areas all through the facility, so family and friends can always go off into a private area with beautiful furniture or fireplaces. They have a theater room. The activities that they have are fabulous. I met the chef. The restaurant looks wonderful. There's enough to pick some off the menu without being too much. I did look at the menu. It looks like a bistro-type menu. It was very nice, chicken waffles and that kind of stuff. I think the chef makes maybe one special for the night. Then you have a couple of other choices if you want. They had a trick-or-treat there yesterday from the kids' school. Kids in the area could come through. The residents made Halloween hats and cast and costumes and we're excited to have the kids there. I was impressed, like sitting in the lobby while I was waiting to talk to the medical director about my mother's situation. The housekeeper team, they're joking around with the managers. I love that. I just thought that they all seemed to enjoy each other's company."

"Brookdale was very clean, and the people were very friendly. They had nice-sized apartments. We had a luncheon there, and the food was very good. There were a lot of programs for them to participate in. The staff really explained everything to us and gave us a lot of information. They gave us opportunities for him to visit us for a period of time, which we thought was very good. They take residents out twice a week for shopping. They have a library, a pool, and billiards room, plus all kinds of exercise activities that residents can be part of; you can participate as much as you want or as little as you want. If necessary, you could have your meals delivered right to the room, which is more like assisted living. "

"We toured The Inn at Apple Ridge. They showed us the whole thing. We started in the assisted living and then we walked into the memory care area to see that whole section. It was all very nice. It was beautiful. When you walk in, the dining room is right there and the chapel is beautiful. They have a bar and it's just so clean. It's like you're in a five-star hotel. It was just unbelievable, but I felt it was too big of a facility for my aunt, that's why we didn't go with them. The staff was very informative, very friendly, answered all of our questions, and very knowledgeable. Their garden area was beautiful and they had a kitchen area. Everything was immaculate."

"I visited The Gardens at Liberty Park. If I have to put my mother-in-law in any of the places I have been researching, that's the one I would take. I was very impressed with the facility, and it is very close to home. It was very clean and very comforting. I only met the director and she was very informative and very warm. I felt welcomed there. I loved that the windows looked out to the courtyard. The courtyard was available to all the residents. It was very quiet, and it is in a private location. It was very clean and there was no smell. The location was very accommodating."

Even though the building is new, grand and stunning in so many ways..... it is the people that work there and those that live there who make it home!"

There was plenty of room for furniture, plenty of room for moving around, and having company in, that kind of thing. The dining area was very large, very neat, and clean. The parking situation was good. There were no issues whatsoever."

"Summit Point had nice apartments and a lot of activities at a reasonable price. They had art classes and entertainment. They have underground parking, which was nice, and some storage space also in the basement. The people I met were very friendly. I got a very good impression from that place. If I had to choose today, that's the one I would choose. They have a snack bar and coffee all day. "
