"We moved mom at Cardinal Retirement Village about two weeks ago. So far, we are very pleased with the place. It was wonderful, warm, and inviting. The staff was excellent. I would recommend them to other people. This week, they have people coming in to play. They have bingo and auctions once a month. They have a lot of outside patio areas and sitting areas. They have constant food available 24 hours a day -- coffee, tea, and snacks for anyone. It is comfortable and warm. The staff could not be better from the receptionist to the maintenance people to the chef. Their activities director gets very involved. For their physical therapy needs, they have somebody on staff there that can help. So far, I have no complaints at all. "

"Maplewood was beautiful, and I really liked the lady I talked to. She helped me, she answered any questions, and she gave me a nice tour of the place. She was extremely responsive and worked with me to try and make everything easy and figure out how to do it. She showed me the studio apartments, and they serve three meals. "

"I put my mom over to Vitalia and it's been fantastic. The people that are there are wonderful, the amenities have been fantastic, and the food is unbelievable. She has a 1-bedroom apartment. It's brand-new so everything including the dining area is bright, it's inviting, and the staff is nice. They will accommodate any needs you have as far as your diet, like if you only want 1 egg, or you only want or even half of a flatbread pizza, they're happy for you. The community itself is clean and very inviting."

"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"I put my mother into Hudson Grande Senior Living. So far, I'm very pleased. My mother has been attending activities, and the food looks delicious. I've actually eaten there twice, and it is very good. My mom is getting the help she needs. The rooms are fine. For activities, they take them to movies. They make sure they get out of their rooms, and they show an appropriate older movie for the residents. They also have guessing games where they have to finish the end of the name of a movie show. They all play along on that, and they seem to enjoy it. They also have a thing where you would toss these large donut-shaped things over, and they were clapping for each other. Everybody was enjoying it. They take them to happy hour that doesn't involve alcohol unless they want that. The staff are all very friendly. They call me if there's a question about something. They're still getting to know my mother medically."

"My mom is currently here receiving good care and being kindly treated by friendly staff. I don't have any complaints."

"My brother is at Brookdale Montrose. They were very helpful in getting us moved in, and they gave us a break on some of the rates (at least for a while). They also helped get us hooked up with an organization for the aide. However, I just got an incorrect bill from them the other day, which basically had been paid, but they charged us more than they said they were gonna charge us. I'm in the process of dealing with them now on that because it's incorrect. They have independent living on the first floor, assisted living on the second floor, and memory care on the third floor. He's on the second floor. It's a little bit older than I expected. It wasn't a new facility, and he is in a wheelchair. It's not totally ADA accessible. The doors aren't wide, so he has a hard time getting his wheelchair through the doorways, but the facility is fairly clean and he says the food is pretty good. The care seems good so far. He's under quarantine, and nobody could go to activities. This place looked newer on the virtual tour, and then when I got there it was older, and not ADA accessible. The bathroom was really tiny. He can barely get his wheelchair in there. He can't even turn the wheelchair around. He literally has to go in forward and then back out."

"The facilities are phenomenal… clean ..uplifting and bright! The staff was friendly and caring. The rooms are well thought out As well as the sitting areas throughout the facility. Morgan who gave us our tour was so personable and answer our questions so professionally as well as Kimberly. I would live in this facility which made our decision so much easier to choose for our loved one. "

"Vista Veranda is really nice. I have really no complaints about it. The staff was very nice to both of us. The accommodations were very well organized, and very clean. I would definitely recommend it to anybody that's looking for their loved one. They had studio apartments, just a standard apartment. They had bingo. They had a dining area, activity room, and they had a physical fitness room."

"My mother-in-law is at Gardens of Western Reserve. It has a very comfortable setting. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. They care, and it shows. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are a bit small, but the idea is for them not to stay in the room all day, for them to be out and be active to the things that are going on the facility. I tried eating there, and the food is great. Their dining room is of good size, and the staff there is very accommodating and helpful. With their activities, they have current events that they use to help with memory and discuss what is going on with the world. They have a dance exercise class. They also have a group for walking and take them to shopping or outdoor activities. "

"Our family always felt like our loved one was taken care of in a professional manner. It’s one thing to have a facility look pretty, but your number one reason for choosing a location is based on the care and compassion of the employees who take care of the people residing there. You don’t necessarily know that when you first arrive, but after two years of having my aunt live at Maplewood, we found this to be true. I believe her welfare and health was always a priority, especially during the period of time when Covid took over our lives.. I felt her room, looked, and had the feel of a bedroom in her home, and not at all institutional I appreciated that she was always looked after, and although her dementia prohibited her from doing a lot of the activities, she was always included in the room where others were participating. The social aspect of being included is very important, and I never felt like she was left alone and isolated. Any time we as a family asked for anything it was always provided. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Even the smallest aspect of providing coffee and snacks for us was truly appreciated. It gave us time to share with my aunt. I believe all the departments, especially admissions, front desk, the administrators, nursing staff, kitchen, personnel, and aides all appear to enjoy their work, and that makes a big difference in the care of the residence. If the need would arrive, use this facility again in a heartbeat."
