"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"My mother has been a resident at Danbury in Hudson for 4 months now since needing more care and assistance with medications. She was previously in Springwood, the sister facility for independent living. The transition to Danbury was easy and well-managed by the staff and administration. The staff (nurses, care-givers, dining, maintenance, and front desk/office) have been simply OUTSTANDING. I really can't say enough about how friendly and kind every single person has been to my mom. My sister and I rest much easier knowing she's getting the care and attention she needs. The activities are frequent and varied. In hindsight for my mom wishes she had moved to Danbury sooner. My sister and I advocated for it but mom was too happy with her apartment and friends at Springwood. If she had moved a bit sooner, she would have had an easier time getting into all the activities and options available. The other residents are all friendly and welcoming. The facilities are quite lovely. The common spaces allow for plenty of space to visit with friends and family. The rooms vary in size and most tend to be on the smaller side. That worried mom at first, but her studio apartment is set up quite nicely for her needs and she's quite happy with it. I think the food is above average for an assisted living facility. I like it. The combination of the dining room plus a mix of happy hours, mixers, ice cream Sunday bars, etc. provide good variety. I'll repeat the most important part, the staff, especially the nurses, care-givers and dining staff, are so welcoming, kind, and helpful. It's truly impressive to see, and I'm very thankful."

"My brother is at Brookdale Montrose. They were very helpful in getting us moved in, and they gave us a break on some of the rates (at least for a while). They also helped get us hooked up with an organization for the aide. However, I just got an incorrect bill from them the other day, which basically had been paid, but they charged us more than they said they were gonna charge us. I'm in the process of dealing with them now on that because it's incorrect. They have independent living on the first floor, assisted living on the second floor, and memory care on the third floor. He's on the second floor. It's a little bit older than I expected. It wasn't a new facility, and he is in a wheelchair. It's not totally ADA accessible. The doors aren't wide, so he has a hard time getting his wheelchair through the doorways, but the facility is fairly clean and he says the food is pretty good. The care seems good so far. He's under quarantine, and nobody could go to activities. This place looked newer on the virtual tour, and then when I got there it was older, and not ADA accessible. The bathroom was really tiny. He can barely get his wheelchair in there. He can't even turn the wheelchair around. He literally has to go in forward and then back out."

"I have toured Holiday Copley Place, it's a very nice place and they're doing renovations. The one thing that held me back there is that they don't have kitchens in their units. They have kitchenettes with a small sinks. They're gorgeous now but they're going to be even more gorgeous after their millions of dollars worth of renovations. The staff was wonderful and they have a lot of activities going on."

"We cannot say enough good things about StoryPoint in Medina! Our super social mom needs to be around people. She has a gift (her heart) to share with them and she craves socialization! We, her family can only provide her so much. What we cannot, StoryPoint has! A combination of their caring staff and the residents Mom now considers dear friends has filled that void. We have seen her come back to life so to speak as she is busier than she's been in years and the social interaction has been good for her emotionally and mentally. She was resistant for years, feeling we would be taking away her independence and quite the contrary..... The move to StoryPoint has given her back her independence!"

"My aunt moved into Summit Point. She liked that it was big enough. There were enough residents but not too many. The size was really good for her. She felt very comfortable there. They had a lot of activities that she liked. She likes to play bingo, they have cards, exercise, they are going to start doing some trips to the casino, and things like that that she enjoys. The lady who helped us was accommodating and nice and helped make her move easy. She said the food was good. The facility is well maintained. It's a good value compared to other places we've looked at."

"The rooms are very nice, plenty of room. love the dining rooms, the menu options are great. There brunch is always looking wonderful, they have wonderful decorations up for the brunch. The staff there is wonderful, they come and introduce themselves when on the tour."

"I went to Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. I talked with one of the admissions people, but they were way out of our price range. The staff members were very friendly from the tours that I took. I didn't get to see them interact with anybody. I went there because they had sent out mailings and I got a mailing in my home. One of their staff members put on a presentation about downsizing. I was kind of interested in that and that's why I went in the first place. I just saw the rooms from the doorway, but I didn't see a lot. However, the staff member who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, very informative, and very kind. There was an exercise room, too."

"My mother is moving into Danbury Brunswick. I checked out the other facility and thought it was great, but I came down and checked out Danbury on the advice of a neighbor. There's so much more to do and so many more activities. It's cleaner. The staff is amazing. Everything is just so much better. I love my mother more than anything on earth. I didn't want anything but the best for her. Even wheelchairing my mom around, she smiled and said, "You know, this place is so much nicer. I think I'm gonna love it here." When I heard that, I was just so pleased. She has a studio apartment. That was something that I inspected from top to bottom. It was absolutely spotless. Everyone was informative, knowledgeable, very respectful and friendly. They have everything. They have a library and a common area and they're really set up nice. They have patios outside. The place has got so much. It's amazing. We had lunch today and based upon that one meal, it's obvious that the food is homemade. It's not something that comes out of a jar or a bag. I saw on the calendar that there was fresh homemade tomato soup."

"The Woods at Solon Pointe was a very nice facility. The food was delicious. It was like gourmet restaurant quality and worthy of being paid for. The people working there were very nice. They just couldn't accommodate both my in-laws. There's a lot of shopping around the community. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair and she could've gotten around by herself in the actual community or outside. It's a beautiful facility."

"Our family feels so fortunate to have the Danbury in our backyard. I researched many senior community places in the past two years trying to find the perfect fit for mom, and am convinced that this place outshines them all. From the first tour we took, to the interactions leading up to mom moving in, to her finally being part of the Danbury family, we have felt like everyone was so kind, so patient and that they really cared for the residents. This is more than just a job for them. From the administration, to the wonderful people serving my mom, to even the residents, she has had nothing but positives to say about her new Danbury family. The food is wonderful, the activities are many, and knowing that she has an extra set of eyes on her, lets me rest easier at night knowing she’s well cared for. It is clean and is bright and cheery. They allow the residents to get as involved as they want. I highly recommend a tour, and you will see for yourself."

The Waterford is a three-story 68-unit senior independent living apartment building located on the North Canton Campus of St Luke Lutheran Community in the heart of North Canton, Ohio. Our building features a number of different styles of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Our rents include dinner Monday-Saturday, and Brunch on Sunday. All utilities are included as well as basic cable and wireless internet and landline telephone. If you have had enough of the big house and yard work, you are not alone. Most of our residents wonder why it took them so long to make the move!
