"I went to Eden Vista of Stow. We liked that it looked clean and homey, not like a big, fancy hotel. The apartments had a living area, a kitchen area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The person who took us around was very friendly and very informative."

"I chose to be here. I picked the room I’m moving into. They explained the activities, and it sounded like they can keep me active. There were people talking to each other when I was there. I was very impressed with what I saw. The dining area looked big, it looked inviting, and you would think that it was a restaurant. It’s a nice looking, antsy place. They have an exercise room."

"The staff at Brookdale Montrose is very nice, and the price was better for my mother in comparison to other independent living facilities in the area. They are undergoing some changes and they had a pretty big turnover, but my mother seems to be happy there. She likes the residents, and she found her own group of people to hang out with. They have outings on the bus, they play bingo, and there are exercise classes. They do her laundry and housekeeping, and the facility as a whole is upkept and clean. I've never heard her complain about anything."

"We toured Holiday Copley Place. I liked it a lot. The people were very, very friendly. It's a beautiful facility. They have so much to offer there, but you only have a refrigerator in your apartment, and I'm not ready to give up a kitchen. So, what I like least about it is the fact that you could bring your microwave in but then you're not allowed to bring it if you have like I have an electric grill. You can't bring anything with a heat source other than a microwave. So they do have a community oven that you can use on the first floor if you want to cook or bake something. We saw a one-bedroom apartment and a two-bedroom apartment. They have laundry. There are three floors. Every floor has a larger room at either end that contains two washers and two dryers. It's not coin-operated. They will automatically come in and change your bed linens and your towels and do that laundry, but you have to do your clothes. They have a community room that we've seen. They have an exercise room. They have a room for physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy, and can all come in and work with you. We saw their eating area and their activity room. The meals are included. They do have a chef and an assistant chef. We were talking to a couple of residents there and said the food was very good."

"We cannot say enough good things about StoryPoint in Medina! Our super social mom needs to be around people. She has a gift (her heart) to share with them and she craves socialization! We, her family can only provide her so much. What we cannot, StoryPoint has! A combination of their caring staff and the residents Mom now considers dear friends has filled that void. We have seen her come back to life so to speak as she is busier than she's been in years and the social interaction has been good for her emotionally and mentally. She was resistant for years, feeling we would be taking away her independence and quite the contrary..... The move to StoryPoint has given her back her independence!"

"My aunt moved into Summit Point. She liked that it was big enough. There were enough residents but not too many. The size was really good for her. She felt very comfortable there. They had a lot of activities that she liked. She likes to play bingo, they have cards, exercise, they are going to start doing some trips to the casino, and things like that that she enjoys. The lady who helped us was accommodating and nice and helped make her move easy. She said the food was good. The facility is well maintained. It's a good value compared to other places we've looked at."

"The rooms are very nice, plenty of room. love the dining rooms, the menu options are great. There brunch is always looking wonderful, they have wonderful decorations up for the brunch. The staff there is wonderful, they come and introduce themselves when on the tour."

"We know a couple of people who were at Vitalia Senior Residences of Solon. Our friends seemed well-adjusted after a long period of time there. My impression was that the staff was very good, and they seemed to be enjoying the support they were getting in terms of meals. It's nicely located in the community. It's easy for local families to get there, and for those who still drive, and for them to have a reasonable sense of normal life in the community. They have a workout area, a theater, and a place for people to meet. The dining area was nice. It's a relatively new facility, so I think it's contemporary and fits my expectations for an assisted or independent living dining room. The facility is enormous, and it keeps growing. There are a lot of people who play Bridge and other games, and it seems like it's not hard to get into a regular card game or other kind of game."

"The staff at Danbury Brunswick is very accommodating and helpful in any issues that I might have or somebody else might have. The kitchen gives a good variety of meals for us. The aides are more than helpful. The nurses are very good. I'm very pleased here. It's very nice. I really like it here. They have lots of activities for us to participate in if we choose or they're open to suggestions, if anyone has an idea. I have a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment. It's perfect for me because I'm by myself. It's a perfect size and very accommodating. At my window, I have a birdfeeder outside that I can watch the birds, so it's very nice. We have a pub where they have larger gatherings and happy hour on Fridays. They play bingo there. We have a bistro and a theater if there are special football games on or a special movie on Friday nights or Saturday nights, church services and exercise classes. They offer a lot of different events and it's up to the individual what they can participate in. They do crafts usually once a week and also cooking, making some kind of cookie or muffin or something. They offer a lot of variety. If anyone would want to call me, if they're not in my contact list, their number is blocked, but they can leave a voicemail."

"The Woods at Solon Pointe was a very nice facility. The food was delicious. It was like gourmet restaurant quality and worthy of being paid for. The people working there were very nice. They just couldn't accommodate both my in-laws. There's a lot of shopping around the community. My mother-in-law is in a wheelchair and she could've gotten around by herself in the actual community or outside. It's a beautiful facility."

"Danbury North Canton was a very nice place, but I like the other one better. They had some two-bedroom ones and stuff. My husband is riding a scooter, and so I think he could maneuver in it. The staff members were very nice and very informative."

The Waterford is a three-story 68-unit senior independent living apartment building located on the North Canton Campus of St Luke Lutheran Community in the heart of North Canton, Ohio. The Waterford address is 201 Holl rd. NE North Canton Ohio 44720. We are located close to shopping, swimming, YMCA, library, community buildings, city parks, walking paths. Our building features a number of different styles of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Our rents include dinner Monday-Saturday, and Brunch on Sunday. All utilities are included as well as basic cable and wireless internet and landline telephone. If you have had enough of the big house and yard work, you are not alone. Most of our residents wonder why it took them so long to make the move!
