"We have been using the in-home care services of Home Instead - Massillon, OH, for my husband, on and off, since early this year. He is totally bedfast and has an electric wheelchair, and they help with bathing, get his meal in the morning, change the bed linens, and help with bathroom issues. We have an external catheter that he uses, and they're willing to take care of that for us. They also do light housework if I have something that they can help me with, like vacuuming or dusting, and doing his laundry and anything associated with his laundry. If I'm away, I also feel better if somebody's here with him. I've encountered several of their aides, and they've all been very good. You pay for the quality of work you get, so it's worth the money for me to know that he's getting good care that I can't do myself. I'm 76 and have some health issues of my own, so it's just a security if there's a day that I'm not really feeling like doing a lot. I can also use my energy for other things, so it's very helpful that they're here whenever I need to be away. I think they really try hard, and when little things happen, it's something that they take care of right away."
