"My mother loves Menorah Park. I think it is a good value. You get three meals a day and snacks. Most of the meals are very good, but there's once in a while there are meals that you might not like. They're very good with activities. My mom went to bingo and to sing-a-long. She likes those. She is very happy when I call her and doing very well where she is. When you walk in the nursing room part or the assisted living part, you'll see lots of living room furniture so families could sit at different places. I think those are very nice. They also have a salon, a beautiful bistro, and an outdoor that is protected by walls or fencing, so those are all nice. Everyone is very friendly, nice, and helpful. We found the staff to be very cooperative, listening, and working for us. If we have to go away, we feel comfortable that there's people there watching over my mom. I really love that; it's wonderful. They do your laundry, clean the room, and vacuum."

"I love The Nottingham. My parents started out in independent living, and my father passed away, so I eventually got Mom into their assisted living. It's my number one. It's beautiful. The grounds are great for walking. It's sort of like a country setting. It's set away from the main road, and when you're on the campus it's really nice, safe, and secure. They have fobs on their keychains to get in. My mom needed a level of care that included the nursing staff doing all her medications, like ordering and delivery of the medication, whatever time of day it was. They would come in and give Mom her meds, and so that's very secure. The Nottingham offers a continuum from independent living to assisted living. They have memory care, too, but if any of their residents fall ill and need rehab (if they have a room in their rehab), that's another service that they provide there. I love that place. That's my favorite. The food is delicious. In the assisted living it's the same level of deliciousness and choices. The people who serve the folks there got to know them by their first names. They know that Mom likes her iced tea with two lemons, so there's a very good personal touch to it. They have a recreation therapist, and they have an activities program that runs through the week and the weekends. There are times when they will take them over to activities that are in independent care even though they're in assisted living. They will go over there for some special events or some music at night or whatever it is. I like the flow of that because with my mom moving from independent care to assisted living I don't want her to miss anything. I was there for Mother's Day where we planted seeds. They painted their clay pots and then they planted the seeds. They tried to make it as friendly and welcoming as they could. The facility is very pretty, very clean, and welcoming."

"We visited Menorah Park of CNY. We spoke about memory care, but we visited the assisted living, which is The Inn. They're very, very well kept. The rooms were larger. The residents had many places they could meet. The lounge areas were a fairly good size. The staff seemed happy, which was important to us. If you like your job, you got to be happy. The sales department was really good. Their security was better than in any other place. You had to check in and they took your temperature and all that stuff to protect the residents. They had everything everybody else has and the views was much better, too. No matter what room you may have been in, you had a very nice view. It's very calming. The staff was great. The facilities were impeccable."

"I went to see my aunt at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Chittenango. When we got there, there was somebody there that we knew, and he was doing good. It was a friendly atmosphere, very homey, and very nice there. It seemed clean. The people were very nice. The nurses were very nice. The lobby was nice."

"My wife is presently in the dementia unit. This is a locked facility required for late stage dementia patients. It allows residents the freedom to roam and provides activities. The facility is well maintained and Staff is caring and compassionate. I visit my wife twice a week and would highly recommended Iroquois."

"The staff at the Heritage took care of my mom in her final few years. Caring for patients with memory and faculty loss is obviously incredibly challenging. There are numerous activities for the residents and great efforts are made to provide for social interaction. Mom loved playing Bingo and the staff always ensured that she was able to join in the games. Over the past few years I saw so many examples of love, respect, and dignity given to the residents. We were very lucky to have had our time with the Heritage and will never be able to thank the staff enough."

"My mother will be moving into The Bernardine. It's close to where we live, so we can keep better contact with her. The facilities were being updated to look very good. They have doctors and programs for assisted living and the price was wonderful. The rooms were very spacious. It was very clean. They have pull cords. They have people that will come in to check on you. They have immediate access to medical assistance. My mother was eating the food at the rehab unit and loved it and they have the same food there. The dining area is very clean and very good. The person who gave me the tour, Max, was wonderful. Everyone has been very good."

"We toured Sedgwick Heights for my mother-in-law. They have an enhanced assisted living, and we thought that was an advantage. We liked the friendliness of the people. The rooms were a nice size. It's an older facility, but it's well maintained. Things are clean, neat, and so forth. We liked it because it has the enhanced assisted living, which will give her some more support if she needs it. The staff was patient and answered all our questions. They have a recreation program and a little store, and that's about it. A lot of that was on hold because of COVID. The layout was institutional, but the people were very friendly."

"I'm thinking seriously about The Hearth on James as I was quite happy with the place. I plan to go back, have a meal, and see how that goes. I've seen 3 places and I liked this one. I toured their independent living and I like the rooms very much. I liked the arrangement in the dining room too. I liked the fact that they have transportation available to take you places you need to go. The gentleman who gave me the tour was very professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. The sizes of the rooms were adequate and the layout was very nice. I looked at a 1-bedroom apartment and it had appliances that I would need, and appeared very pleasant."

"The rooms were neat and organized, and the staff checked in regularly to see if my aunt needed anything.Meals were brought to her room, which was more like a small apartment. She also had the choice to invite guests over for dinner where she could cook if she chose to, or have them bring a meal from the kitchen. The staff was friendly and patient with the residents. "
