"I am in Menorah Park and I am going to stay here. It has everything I need. It has meals and laundry. The care is adequate. My room is very clean, and it is big enough for me. It has a bathroom and a kitchenette. We have many kinds of activities. We have shopping, music, bingo, and all the regular activities. The dining area is very nice, and the food is good. "

"My friend is very happy at The Nottingham. She likes it because she has a very nice apartment and she has friends already there. It's absolutely wonderful. They have all kinds of recreation for you. They have a swimming pool, a library, a TV, and they take you anywhere you want to go, like to all your doctors' appointments and shopping. It fits her needs absolutely perfectly. It's topnotch."

"The Heritage is lovely. They take very good care of my mother-in-law. They're conscientious and kind to the residents. The residents seem very happy, too. She's in memory care and they do a very nice job. She has a lovely sitting room, her own full bathroom, and her own bedroom-all being separate. Then there is a kitchenette, a sink, a cabinet, and a little mini bar fridge where she could have snacks and little drinks on the quick because meals are provided. It's not the newest facility, but it is clean and neat. It has no odors. It's got some more space compared to some other places. They have a very full social calendar with all sorts of things like ice cream socials, music, crafts, and church."

I would like to send Cindy and her staff my appreciation for all their dedication, loving support and most of all their kind and caring words. Not just towards my mother Regina, but towards all of their residents. Our communty is truly blessed to have such a professional and caring facility that sees each resident as a PERSON that is individual and important. The faculty and staff of Sunnyside shows genuine care and interest in each resident individually and addresses their needs as such. "Because of my mom's financial situation, we needed to find a place that would accept SSI as payment, and that's one reason we chose The Bernadine. It is also the only place in our county that has apartments as opposed to having a shared room. That was very attractive because she can bring all of her stuff. They were very helpful in the application process and gave us a checklist of what we needed. They worked with us in a way that was very helpful especially for someone who wasn't familiar with how the whole thing worked. It's convenient to where I live, the staff was very helpful, and it was much easier getting this whole thing organized than I had anticipated. "

"We toured Sedgwick Heights for my mother-in-law. They have an enhanced assisted living, and we thought that was an advantage. We liked the friendliness of the people. The rooms were a nice size. It's an older facility, but it's well maintained. Things are clean, neat, and so forth. We liked it because it has the enhanced assisted living, which will give her some more support if she needs it. The staff was patient and answered all our questions. They have a recreation program and a little store, and that's about it. A lot of that was on hold because of COVID. The layout was institutional, but the people were very friendly."

"The rooms were neat and organized, and the staff checked in regularly to see if my aunt needed anything.Meals were brought to her room, which was more like a small apartment. She also had the choice to invite guests over for dinner where she could cook if she chose to, or have them bring a meal from the kitchen. The staff was friendly and patient with the residents. "

"Buckley Landing was very nice. It was a lovely place that my mother would be happy in. The staff was very friendly, open, and communicative. They're very cordial, helpful, and cooperative. The facility seemed clean and well-kept."

"My Dad resides at Elderwood. Although he needs help eating the food, it tastes fine. His level of personal care is very good and they actually have activities specific for just the gentlemen, like bocce and horseshoes. He appreciates that. "

My Aunt Myrtle was here first @ Hazel Carpenter - she is now in a better care facility in Oneida Hospital, she is 94 my mom Shirley placed her in Hazel Carpenter. My Mom is now at this facility and has come a long way. She keep to herself pretty much her whole life and is finding a whole new life with the most caring, understanding, and wonderful group of people I have ever met. You see I live in New Jersey, I talk with my mom once a week and notice her voice is strengthing everyday. It could only be the wonderful care she is receiving. "My mother is already settled in Camillus Ridge Terrace. What I like most about this one is the location, just because all of my family is already out in Camillus, so having her nearby is nice. The residents, when we were touring, all seemed very happy and they have activities happening all the time, so that's huge. They have music pretty much every day, which I know makes my mom happy. They have movie nights. In terms of the general atmosphere, everything is clean, neat, tidy and welcoming. The staff seems attentive. My mom has been there for a month and they all know her by name. "

"McHarrie Pointe was a very nice facility with very friendly people. The apartments were homey. The dining area was set up in a quiet and friendly atmosphere. Tables were spaced nicely so that people could congregate and gather. I liked that it was nice and bright. They do exercises, puzzles, and various things during the day. I didn't see a lot of people sitting alone. They all had someone with them. There were some residents in the cafeteria sitting together and talking. The only problem was my mom was on the waiting list there, but it would take about six months to a year, and I didn't have that kind of time."
