I was very impressed with the staff at The Nottingham as well as the administration. They've taken very good care of my mother. The facility is extremely clean and well appointed. Its comparable to an upper-end hotel. The food is very good and portions are ample. They have a variety of activities available for the residents. It's a community that you can start off in an apartment and as you require care, you can receive that care all the way up through skilled nursing, which is one of the things that I thought was very important.

I am choosing The Nottingham for myself. It was just beautiful. The dining room was formally set for dinner when I was there. They had a bistro where you could buy food. The residents were very busy doing activities. They had a pool and a hairdresser. They were doing exercises, games, and lectures. It was just overall very lovely. The views of the countryside were beautiful, and the grounds were well-kept. I ate at the bistro twice, one was breakfast and one was lunch, and it was lovely. They had a good selection of food. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

The Nottingham was an excellent facility. It's a senior living and assisted living. They have everything. The staff was wonderful and very pleasant. The place was absolutely spotless and very secure. You have to be buzzed in, and there was a receptionist at the desk. You cannot go anywhere unless somebody takes you. I did get to see some outstanding rooms. It couldn't have been nicer. There was a nice fireplace in the sitting room. It's beautifully done. They have just about anything you'd be looking for. The nursing care couldn't be better. They gave me a menu for the dining room and it's outstanding. It's like you want to stay there. They have snack bars and a game room. You could have one meal a day or three meals a day, housekeeping, and transportation. The room comes with a TV and a washer and dryer. The room size was beautiful. It is a place to think about. The location is perfect. It's 5 minutes off the main road, which is Route 481. I passed by a few people that work there and they were very pleasant. Everything was very clean and neat. Their housekeeping keeps everything so clean. It's that way all the time because they could not have done all that right before I got there. Everything was done just right. The dining setup was absolutely beautiful. It's like a very high-class restaurant with a table setup.

We toured The Nottingham. We were impressed with them, but the one drawback was that they could only accept about 20 people in their memory care wing. The other facility could accept about 68, and they had like five openings available right away. The Nottingham, since they could only accept about 20 people, had like about a three to five months waiting period. The overall experience was very good. The staff was very professional. They had very high ratings. I was very satisfied with talking with them. They were very informative. We didn't try the food. It was a time when the food wasn't being served, so we didn't observe that, but they explained that they cater to individual dietary needs and so on. The dining area was very neat and clean. There were a few people there just having coffee or something because it was kind of mid-morning. But it just seemed very clean. The rooms were a little bit bigger than the other facility. They had some of their own furnishings in the rooms, but people were allowed to bring in some of the personal furnishings to give it a kind of a homey feel.

My dad will be moving into The Nottingham. It's very nice, and the people were very polite. We were walking, and the staff was showing us the place. If a client walked by, they knew all the clients' names. It wasn't like, "Hey, how you doing?" They knew everybody that was there, which really surprised me for what they have. The place that he is going to rent or stay has a bathtub, and they're going to exchange it for a walk-in shower. So, it's going to be like the middle of May before they get the walk-in shower, and everything installed for them. He's starting with the independent, and it's affiliated with assisted living and the nursing home. So, he's there, and as he progresses he will still be in the same facility. We really like that idea too. They have like an exercise room, but they have a bike, the treadmill, but they have a physical therapist on hand that can set up a routine for you to help you. They are there if you need physical therapy, to help you through your physical therapy. They have a pool there, and it's not opened all the time, but when it is they have the lifeguards there. They have the water exercise, and then then they do have open swim, but it's not open 24-hours. It's open when they have the lifeguards there. They have a huge restaurant, and it's like a five-course restaurant. You can have your meals there, but they also have a little bistro around the corner of it, that if you just want like a sandwich or pizza, hamburger, or whatever salad they have, it's all right there. The only thing right now that they said is, because of COVID, if your family comes to visit and you want to have a dinner with them, you can order the dinner, but you have to take it back to your room, because residents are allowed to be there, but family members can't. They can come over, and you can have dinner with them, but you have to take your dinner back to your room. We didn't get to eat, but they said, as we get closer to the moving and everything, we can come over. We saw some lady who had a hamburger. They had a nice big hamburger, and then they'll ask you what you want. Hers was huge; everything in a hamburger: lettuce, tomatoes, onions; it was a good sandwich. It was very, very clean. The staff was wonderful. Everybody knew each other, that was what really impressed me. It didn't smell like old people, like some place you go to. It was a nice atmosphere there. They have buses that take them. He can drive if he wants to, but if he just doesn't feel like driving because of weather or whatever. They have buses that go to grocery stores, and they'll take you to a doctors' visit, whatever you need. The building was nice, it was clean. It had everything, the library. They had everything that he wanted.

The Nottingham is an ideal location with many amenities nearby. It's quaint, not too big, and not too small. I just think it's in a perfect location, and that's what really caught my eye. The rooms are perfect, whether you're single or a couple. It's very clean and appealing, too. It's a pleasant and just an overall beautiful, beautiful environment. When I found out that I needed to be sixty-two years old to get into the place instead of sixty, I ended the tour early, but I do want with all my heart, if the Lord spares my life for two years -- that's where I want to live. It's a fairly new facility, and the security level is good there. You needed a key, and they need to buzz you in to enter.

My friend is very happy at The Nottingham. She likes it because she has a very nice apartment and she has friends already there. It's absolutely wonderful. They have all kinds of recreation for you. They have a swimming pool, a library, a TV, and they take you anywhere you want to go, like to all your doctors' appointments and shopping. It fits her needs absolutely perfectly. It's topnotch.

We liked the single units at the Nottingham. They had apartments and nine single units that looked like single-story houses. They were all very nice but way beyond our means. We know two people who are there and very satisfied with it. We only met the lady who showed us around, but she was nice, very personable, and very helpful. The buildings were very nice and very well kept up. The grounds were also very well kept up.

The Nottingham is big, each unit had a washer and dryer, and it was more expensive. It was more elegant and fancier, and they had awesome external grounds. It just wasn’t a right fit for my mother in law.

My Mother is a resident of the Nottingham. These are the concerns regarding the property: The walls- the wallpaper is peeling from every seam. In some places it is torn and hanging The wood- Moldings are scratched, gouged, the color is off some of the wood all along the walkway Doors- need to be painted and refreshed. Furniture in common areas- needs to be upgraded and not look like a collection of residents unwanted items. Elevator- breaks often- giving residents on the 2nd floor no access to the first floor if they are unable to take the stairs. Ramps-There are no ramps from one floor to the next. Outside Landscaping-- There isn't any. There are no spring flowers. There were no summer flowers last year. There are no maintained gardens.. Upgrades in resident units-- there aren't any. Housekeeping is inadequate --where we hire our own.

My friend is at The Nottingham with his wife. They have an apartment with 3 or 4 rooms, I guess, and the facility is nice. The staff seem to be friendly and certainly seem to be efficient.

My first impression of this facility was warm & inviting. The staff was very kind, helpful and understanding to my grandfather's needs. He loved the nurses and administrative employees as well. It is a very warm, friendly environment. They even treated the visiting families with a degree of hospitality that made you want to stay longer! My grandfather has since passed but we believe he was genuinely happy with The Nottingham being his residence during the sunset of his years.

I have visited The Nottingham on many occasions. The community is clean and truly beautiful. The staff is for the most part friendly and relaxed. Occasionally you run into someone who is rushed and maybe doesn't have time to give you their full attention, but I feel this can be expected in a place that is working hard to meet the needs of seniors of varying degrees of independence. To be honest, I really love visiting here. It really feels like a community. There is a swimming pool and restaurant style dining. There are fun activities like happy hour on Fridays nights. There is plenty of privacy in my nanny's studio style apartment. (She has a bed and living area in one room with a small kitchenette space connected and a small private bath.) There are other types of rooms though and some of the residents get more services than others. This is the type of place I would like to live if I couldn't take care of myself anymore. It seems almost too good to be true.

I thought this facility was very clean and modern. The staff seemed familiar with my grandmother, and appeared to genuinely care about her and her needs. They were pleasant to me and my children, and made some light jokes. My grandmother lives independently in an apartment, which has up-to-date appliances and was modern looking. Every time I visited, the lawns were well-kept or the snow had been plowed. Parking is always available, and the lot is just a short walk to the front entrance. The other residents seemed happy, and many were meeting regularly in a common meeting area to talk or play bridge. The apartment my grandmother lives in is a one bedroom, and is very spacious. One time her sink got clogged, and someone came to fix it within a few hours. I was impressed at how easy it was for my grandmother to get it fixed. She made one phone call and someone was there within a short period of time. Overall, I am impressed with this facility.

I found this to be a clean and lovely facility. The staff were very helpful and caring. The dining room was elegant and the food was outstanding. The only reason this facility did not receive five stars, residents had to hire outside caregivers from an agency.
