"Mom broke her hip and needed rehab so she was at Elderwood. She really needed assistance going to the toilet as she's in a wheelchair. I think the staff was terrific there. She's receiving good care from them. As far as the nursing home goes, they are okay. She was sharing a room with another person. The food was terrible at Elderwood, just the worst. "

"Buckley Landing was very nice. It was a lovely place that my mother would be happy in. The staff was very friendly, open, and communicative. They're very cordial, helpful, and cooperative. The facility seemed clean and well-kept."

"My sister has found a place for herself. It's called The Hearth at Greenpoint in Liverpool. My sister chose it for herself. I think she didn't have a lot of time, that's one thing, because she was in the rehab and needed to pick a place to go to. She wanted to stay in an area where she had lived or somewhere close to where she had lived. The person who assisted her from that facility was very nice and very, very helpful, so she was very happy with that. It's hard to say because I haven't been able to be in there because of COVID, but I'm only going by what she's saying, and she's saying she's happy there. I've interacted with the staff and they seem very, very nice. My sister said the food has been good so far."

"The Hearth on James was very lovely as well, but it was more of assisted living. It was very clean and homey, and the staff was friendly. "

"We toured Sedgwick Heights for my mother-in-law. They have an enhanced assisted living, and we thought that was an advantage. We liked the friendliness of the people. The rooms were a nice size. It's an older facility, but it's well maintained. Things are clean, neat, and so forth. We liked it because it has the enhanced assisted living, which will give her some more support if she needs it. The staff was patient and answered all our questions. They have a recreation program and a little store, and that's about it. A lot of that was on hold because of COVID. The layout was institutional, but the people were very friendly."

"The rooms were neat and organized, and the staff checked in regularly to see if my aunt needed anything.Meals were brought to her room, which was more like a small apartment. She also had the choice to invite guests over for dinner where she could cook if she chose to, or have them bring a meal from the kitchen. The staff was friendly and patient with the residents. "

"Bernardine Loretto is close to my wife's work. Nothing stood out in a bad way. They're nice enough. The rooms are larger than I thought they would be. It's pretty brightened up, with nice big windows. They have a dining area on each floor. They have a bus that would take you for shopping and to medical appointments. They have standard in-house activities, too. "

"My mother Regina Lapchenko was a resident at Sunnyside Adult home for a very short time this year. I would like to send Cindy and her staff my appreciation for all their dedication, loving support and most of all their kind and caring words. Not just towards my mother Regina, but towards all of their residents. Our communty is truly blessed to have such a professional and caring facility that sees each resident as a PERSON that is individual and important. The faculty and staff of Sunnyside shows genuine care and interest in each resident individually and addresses their needs as such. I don't think that there is much more that a family member could ask for. I truly don't know what I would have done without a facility like yours. Thank you! "

"Overall, the facility was excellent. The entranceway was welcoming and well-kept, with friendly staff waiting to help guide you through the facility. The lobby was well-decorated and didn't feel like a hospital; it felt more like a hotel. The nurse who was with us was also the nurse who was caring for my great-grandmother, and she was pleasant and friendly. There were a few staff members that seemed to be less pleasant, but we did not have a direct experience with them. The rooms were simply furnished and were a little dull. There wasn't a lot of room for personal belongings. However, they did feel nicer than something like a hospital room. Out of curiosity, we tried some of the food and found it to be surprisingly good. We looked into some of the services and facilities provided and found that were plenty of additional amenities for those able to take advantage of them, such as an entertainment room with various activities, and a swimming pool. The only major negative of the facility is that the care staff seemed to have a slow response time, though that could have been due to understaffing. "

"I visited my minister there when she got sick and was rehabilitated. I noticed the staff truly appear interested with her well being and so with the other patients. The environment there was warm and seemed like a family feeling around. "

"The Nottingham is an ideal location with many amenities nearby. It's quaint, not too big, and not too small. I just think it's in a perfect location, and that's what really caught my eye. The rooms are perfect, whether you're single or a couple. It's very clean and appealing, too. It's a pleasant and just an overall beautiful, beautiful environment. When I found out that I needed to be sixty-two years old to get into the place instead of sixty, I ended the tour early, but I do want with all my heart, if the Lord spares my life for two years -- that's where I want to live. It's a fairly new facility, and the security level is good there. You needed a key, and they need to buzz you in to enter."

"I am in Menorah Park and I am going to stay here. It has everything I need. It has meals and laundry. The care is adequate. My room is very clean, and it is big enough for me. It has a bathroom and a kitchenette. We have many kinds of activities. We have shopping, music, bingo, and all the regular activities. The dining area is very nice, and the food is good. "

"My mother is already settled in Camillus Ridge Terrace. What I like most about this one is the location, just because all of my family is already out in Camillus, so having her nearby is nice. The residents, when we were touring, all seemed very happy and they have activities happening all the time, so that's huge. They have music pretty much every day, which I know makes my mom happy. They have movie nights. In terms of the general atmosphere, everything is clean, neat, tidy and welcoming. The staff seems attentive. My mom has been there for a month and they all know her by name. "
