The staff who showed us the Hazel L. Carpenter Home did a fine job giving us a tour of the place, and I had heard good things about it. I saw that the residents needed to share bathrooms as well as showers. I just did not think that would be a good fit for my mother.

The staff who showed us the Hazel L. Carpenter Home did a fine job giving us a tour of the place, and I had heard good things about it. I saw that the residents needed to share bathrooms as well as showers. I just did not think that would be a good fit for my mother.

...Our family knew from the beginning, this was a wonderful facility. My Aunt Myrtle was here first @ Hazel Carpenter - she is now in a better care facility in Oneida Hospital, she is 94 my mom Shirley placed her in Hazel Carpenter. My Mom is now at this facility and has come a long way. She keep to herself pretty much her whole life and is finding a whole new life with the most caring, understanding, and wonderful group of people I have ever met. You see I live in New Jersey, I talk with my mom once a week and notice her voice is strengthing everyday. It could only be the wonderful care she is receiving. Thank you for allowing me to be at peace with my mom.
