"My mother has been in this facility for about 5 yrs. It was Tonawanda manor when she went there. Most of the girls who worked for Tonawanda manor have left and the new staff is mostly caring except for a few. Our main concern is that these people get the same respect you and me would get on a daily basis. some of the rooms need to be painted,,not sure whose responsibility this is but on a whole it is a caring home. If you do have an issue you can easily address it with staff. plenty of social activities and the food is plentiful "

"My sister is in Elderwood Village. The staff seemed very friendly, and my sister liked it. I guess the food was fine because my sister didn’t complain about it. They seemed to have a lot of things going on. "

"Brookdale Niagara was nice. I met with Debbie and she was wonderful and very thorough. She showed me a room, an activity room, and pretty much everything. Their dining room was nice. There's plenty of room and everyone seemed happy while eating there. It's clean. I also saw a salon and a visiting room for families that want to sit and visit with them. So, it was perfect."

"We have visited Elderwood. They seemed very attentive to the patients. They had nice, clean facilities. The staff seemed very helpful. I liked what I saw there. "

"My father has moved into Heritage Manor of Lockport. The experience is above and beyond. The staff members have been wonderful. The place is very clean and homey. We ate lunch there a couple of times with my father and it was delicious. There's quite a selection and something different every day. It's very good. The common area would be the great room and that's really nice. We watched the football game there with the residents. There are lots of nice chairs and couches to sit on. They served ice cream sundaes and it's just fun stuff. They have a couple of different kinds of bingo. They have lots of activities. They have someone singing in there and they have some excursions and stuff too, so that's good. With regards to value for money, it's worth it compared to other places like that."

"Elderwood Assisted Living at Hamburg was very expensive. My sister-in-law was in there for a while, but then she got sick. They had a lot of activities there and it's very, very pretty. There's a nice little deck outside that the patients can go to when the weather is good. They had just about everything there. The staff was wonderful to her. I believe she got very good attention. It was very clean. Once a month, they had live music to entertain them. I understand it's quite expensive. She had a suite, which had a bedroom and a living room. She brought a lot of her own furniture. She was very pleased with the food because she never complained."

"The Manor House was lovely. The staff who accommodated us was lovely. The room was very nice for one person. It had a living room, a separate bedroom, and a small kitchenette. Their calendar of events was full. They had sewing club, card playing, and book reviews. They also had children coming in from school to do concert. It was beautiful."

"Blocher Homes was very organized. The staff was courteous, informative, and so forth. However, the accommodations or the rooms needed updating. The rooms were very small -- especially the bathroom and the shower area. The amenities were good. They had a young group leader who seemed to be very organized and interact with the residents and so forth. "

"My mother was in a nice-sized room at Community Pride Senior Living that was well taken care of for her. Activities were something she could participate in generally every day. The staff was qualified and very open to any suggestions or to her needs. It’s a small facility, so they’re able to interact quite a bit. It’s good quality food with nice, varied meals and one choice at each meal. "

"Fredonia Place of Williamsville is a beautiful facility. I toured the memory care. The rooms were beautiful, and very well maintained. The room we toured didn't have any furniture in it because the customer would be providing the furniture, but the whole facility was clean. It was the intake manager I was talking to, who was extremely helpful, listened to me, and gave me a straightforward answer each time."

"My mom lives here (for 3 years) and since May with the recent change in management I can now say the facility is simply exceptional! Previously we had struggles with getting the "little things" accomplished but since we started meeting with the new executive director and the director of nursing we have never been so pleased. The staff clearly love their jobs now and you can feel the positive energy and passion. The new manager is always seen outside her office showing love and compassion to the folks who live there and I always see her recognizing her employees. My mom loves her and love Brompton because of her .. my hope is that the corporate office recognizes her passion and hangs on to her, the turnover previously has been bad. If you have a parent that needs a place .. look no further!"

"The people that we met during our tour of Elderwood Village at St. Gregory Court were very friendly. The director greeted us, they have very friendly staff. It's very clean, it's all new and renovated, there are room and space inside, and there's a courtyard so the residents can go outside and walk within a safe area, so they can still experience outdoors. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. They have wonderful activities. They also have a nursing staff, maybe not 24 hours, but they're there a lot. They have nice community rooms, a little kitchen area where they make cookies, and activities they do with the clients. They try to be very diversified. They also have religious ceremonies, a priest that comes in once a month, and non-denominational services there as well. Overall, it's a very good facility."

"My grandmother is in Heathwood Assisted Living and Memory Care, and I'm very pleased. They're great, and I like its appearance. It's always clean and nice. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. She has her own bathroom, which is a decent size. Her room is not huge, but price wise, it's good. I'm satisfied."
