I was so nervous, placing my aunt in assisted-living. She was never very social and I thought the transition would be hard. I was pleasantly surprised at how well she transitioned into the community. The care staff was wonderful and reassured me that her transition would be successful. They explained to me the different levels of care and they’ve been nothing but supportive. The communication has been wonderful. Anytime I call or send an email, I get an immediate response. If I have any concerns, they are addressed immediately. Although no place is perfect, this is as close as it gets. I have no regrets of placing my aunt at Peregrines in Cheektowaga. My aunt loves it too, which makes me sleep better every night.

I went to Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga for my mother. I was very happy with the place. What I like is that they are very well-versed. There's a gym in the place. They have a small little prayer area. They have quite a bit to offer in the kitchen area. I was just overly impressed. It's a big square area, which is fine. I was impressed with the courtyard, which is completely encompassed within the area so people cannot wander off. The only thing that set me back is that it's a 45- to 50-minute drive from my house to go visit her, so that would be about the only issue I have because I'm looking at close to an hour ride to go see her every day or when I can. The gentleman I was with was very informative and very caring. I felt comfortable being with him, and I don't think he was trying to sell me anything. So, I was happy about that. The building was clean. I did not see anything filthy at all. I felt comfortable and warm. The lobby was very well cared for. It looked like you were somewhere comfortable. It looked like a nice living room.

I toured Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga. There was nothing that I liked least about it. Everything there was wonderful. I liked the apartment setup that they had. I liked that everything there was clean. I thought the dining room area was lovely. I liked the different activities that they had, the different areas that the residents could go to, and the different sitting areas. There was a chapel area. There was an exercise room. I thought that the apartment was a very nice size. It had like a little kitchenette in there. No stove, because you never know. So, I was like I would like to live here. The staff was very kind. The lady who helped me was a wonderful lady. I loved everything about the place just for my mother. My mother is more capable of doing things for herself. She just will not, and that is where we are having the problem. But I thought Peregrine was wonderful. They also have different functions. During the summer, they'd have a car show. So, they do have different things for the residents to do there as well. So I thought it was an wonderful place.

Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was very clean. It was also close to my uncle's home, so he's familiar with the community already. There were a lot of friendly staff. They're very courteous and professional. You had two options. They had a studio apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. They showed us both units. Both were very nice. The studio apartments were quite large, so you wouldn't feel too compacted in there, but we wanted more of an apartment type of feel, so we went with the one-bedroom. Everything was equipped with pull cords and good doorways, so if my uncle is in a wheelchair, it's all set. The woman that gave us the tour was very informative and she answered all the questions. We actually went during a mealtime, and the food was quite good. The meal selections were varied. It was very nice. The cleanliness of the building and the staff were our top concerns.

Peregrines definitely the place for you or your family member. We have experienced all types of care for my brother and have truly found a home for him that is welcoming and caring. The administration is very experienced and ready to do whatever is needed to provide individual independence and acceptance. The staff, including dining, laundry, cleaning, maintenance and front desk support are friendly and does what it takes to make your home life very pleasant and comfortable. The nursing care support and services provided make it a great long term plan for you or your family member. I have peace of mind that my brother's care is in good hands- which is priceless

My uncle has moved into Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga. He's in memory care. He's having a problem with not having his dog anymore and they have a resident dog, so we can walk the dog when they come in. My cousin has my uncle's dog and when she comes to visit, he can walk his dog outside and inside. They have many activities to stimulate the mind. They have nice meals and concerts. Now I find him humming and singing. It's very nice. I love the pictures of Buffalo. He's from the Niagara Falls area, and they have many pictures of Niagara Falls hanging on the wall and other things that are Buffalo-related. They have a whole wall of Veterans and he's a Veteran. The staff is wonderful. They come in and clean his room every day and the bathroom. They do deep cleaning once a week and they do his laundry and they have nice meals. It's three-hour intervals, like they can have a choice to eat between 7:00 and 10:00, 12:00 and 3:00 and then between 5:00 and 7:00. They had homemade chicken noodle soup for starters. You can have salad with fruit plate and cottage cheese or you can have a hamburger or grilled cheese. They have many different selections each day, but they start you off with homemade soup. It's very nice. He hasn't been to many of the activities, but he's gone to the concerts, and they were nice.

The apartments are spacious and well appointed. They feel so homey and independent and yet, there is a care team on staff to help if my mom needs anything. The staff is loving and well trained and the administration is so responsive to all of our questions. I love that when I walk in the door everyone knows my name and that helps me feel so much better knowing my mom is in a place where we all feel so loved and appreciated.

It is a nurturing community that helps the residents with making friends. There are many activities and outings to accommodate every resident that lives here. Great friendships between staff and residents. Rooms are very spacious. There is a salon in house for haircuts, perms, colors. My grandmother is in a studio apartment and she loves it. Plenty of space and plenty for her to do throughout the day.

We've had a positive experience overall with Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga. There's things that are lacking that I wish they were more up on as far as activities and engaging the residents. They're not really up on that like other places that we visited, but other than that, it's a decent place. Dad's room is a large size for a single person. There's plenty of room for all of the furniture and stuff like that. They have drawing activities, people that come in and play music, bingo, and dancing, but they weren't doing any of that when we first got there. They're short-staffed, and even now that they have staff, they don't try to engage in them. They just try it for five minutes and quit, so I'm not happy about their activities at all.

1) Be sure you have a diagnosis for memory care otherwise you will waste time visiting facilities who just offer those services 2) We toured this facility based on it having both assisted living and memory care services available 3) We chose this facility, based upon the staffs, ability to to Help our sister with her needs and the general homey feeling you get there and the fact that all the residents seem Happy in the enviorment

The tour at Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was very nice. The director was extremely pleasant and personable. They seemed to have all of the amenities that we were looking for. Based on a personal view, we just decided to go with another place. The accommodations were comparable to all other types of apartment living styles that were present in the area, so it was nice. They had a lot of green spaces, a nice dining hall, and they seemed to have good food service available. I went to see their assisted living.

I toured Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga. I looked at their assisted living and the thing that I liked the most was that they were helpful and gave a great tour. The place was clean, active, and had a nice overall atmosphere and environment. It had 3 meals a day, nice rooms, and a nice seating area for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The person who gave me the tour was very kind, caring, and helpful.

Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was very nice, very clean, and very well warm. All the people there were very nice. It was a nice place, it's just it was a little further out of the way for us. The staff was very helpful. They went through everything and explained everything like how the facility works, the activities, the meals, and the living quarters. They were very nice. It was a very nice place. They have a lot of activities for the elderly there to keep them busy and keep their minds going and all that. They have activities for them. They had some kind of exercise classes, and they had arts and crafts and stuff like that. The dining area was very nice and very homey. They had choices for them. The place was very clean, and all the room quarters were nice.

Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was very clean. I toured both assisted living and memory care and it's the best one we visited by far. It's very up-to-date and spacious. They have a lot of activities and their food menu alters. It's more suitable for my mother's needs and for what she likes to do. Their menu offered more fruits, vegetables, and the greens and stuff (which my mom likes). They had bus tours to casinos and to other activities outside of the facility. Inside the facility, they had the basics, such as gatherings/church masses with different religious services. Their activity room was bigger and it appeared that they had more people who were still able to do more things, just like my mom. The two people we worked with were outstanding. They were still doing construction to make it more modern, but when you walk into this place, the colors are bright and you feel comfortable. So, it welcomes you.

The staff and the personnel at Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga seemed very happy, upbeat, and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. They seemed hopeful and happy. We love that they have a support dog there. They were having a game and one of the staff was having a Family Feud type game for the residents, and they seemed to be enjoying that. So it was nice.

The least we liked about Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga is that they had multiple sets of stairs. The best thing we liked was that the staff seemed very, very good and caring just from observation of what was going on when we were looking. We liked the staff. We saw the interaction of the staff with the residents, and they were very caring and helpful. And it did not look like anyone was lacking any assistance or care. The stairs were an issue, a lot of places had stairs and we were concerned about that because it was two levels. But the other reason was not so much their fault; they were remodeling before COVID started, and it's only half remodeled, so the upstairs was in much better shape than the downstairs. So not that it was bad, but it wasn't, it wasn't as nice as the upstairs.

Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was a very clean, modern, and very nice facility. The lady I met was very informative, covered everything, was well prepared, and spent a lot of time going over everything they had to offer. The menu seemed like it was well thought out with a nice variety, and they gave them options if they didn't like the featured items. They also have an in-house chapel for Sunday prayer, very nice rec room facilities, an exercise room for anybody to take part in with the therapist on staff, and then a very clear 30-day schedule of all the different types of events they had, of which there were several different kinds. The only downside was it's a little pricey.

Peregrine Senior Living at Cheektowaga was expensive but very nice. It's a beautiful community. We went in a beautiful lobby with nice pictures. It had the feeling that the people who live there had a little bit of money. It costs about $6000, and the people seemed nice. The rooms were kind of small. Other places are nicer than that.

We found Peregrine Senior Living for my father. Its very nice and the staff is pretty good, but sometimes you have to remind them of things to do. I think they could have more activities for the people there. The rooms are very nice. They have activities where they go out of the building, and they also have them in the building. A lot of times, they have something planned inside that gets cancelled, so I dont think theres enough to keep the elder patients busy. The food is fair, its too bland for me, but sometimes its probably good. They also did not have an option for a roommate, and I think my dad would like a roommate.

Dad was a resident for 8 years, and always treated with respect and kindness.. Everyone knew his name and greeted him. The administrative staff were so helpful and nursing staff were honest, attentive and caring. They were his angels and watched over him, We would joke that they knew more about him than his family. Dad also enjoyed the food and happy hour! The activity director is super and very engaging. She pays special attention to the interests of the residents and puts together an annual Halloween Haunted House! We wish Dad never had to leave--Thank you to the entire facility and staff for his wonderful care!! .

This is a wonderful facility I have a current family member here who is a resident. The staff have taken wonderful care of my Dad. The administrator has always been very helpful, everyone there goes above and beyond. My Dad had some Problems adjusting early on and we weren't sure if he was going to be able to stay but the Administrator, case manager and marketing girl worked to resolve and problem solve. I can't thank these girls enough. My Dad loves it here! So much to do.. great food.. Would highly recommend this place! Lots of love and it shows !!!

My relative is in memory care at Peregrine's Landing, and I am very happy with the level of care that she is receiving. She has a consistent daily caregiver, and an enthusiastic nursing staff. Her health and mental aspect have become very stable since she moved into Peregrine's, and I am pleased to have her there.

Peregrine's Landing Senior Community was nice but a little dated. It had an upstairs, so you had to use an elevator, which is no big deal, but my stepmother has a hard time walking even with a walker. It's a very nice place, but having a second floor was a turn off for me. Some people wouldn't care. They had a separate activity room. The people were nice and seemed competent.

Do not place your loved one here. They make promises both verbal and written that they do not keep. The administrator of the building is rude and unprofessional and refuses to work with you to resolve issues. Cost keeps going up while services are reducing. Was run by a great director initially until this new group took over about 2 years ago. Poor staff and resident morale and high turnover which by the way management blames on the residents themselves. If your looking for a great assisted living facility, don't choose this one. If you already have a family member here then maybe think about forming a family counsel to help support residents rights. After all the needs of the residents should be paramount over anything else.

Sara, the administrator is beyond rude. She is the reason we took our family member out of the facility. She was very short with us regarding our concerns and the staff also were not happy with her at all, yet she stresses the staff respect the residents and their families. If she wasn't working there a lot of staff members (actually all that we had spoken too..) would be a LOT happier. She shouldn't be working in this field AT ALL. Sincerely- a concerned family member

This place is all about making money, once they get your loved one in the don't follow through on their promises. Ever increasing charges because what are you going to do move your loved one. They know that's not practical for most elderly people especially those on a fixed income. They screw up medication..yup MEDICATIONS! They have a revolving staff because they can't keep any quality workers there. The new management is to blame for that, it used to be a decent place. Also the food is terrible, my loved one can't even eat it about 25% of the time. For ~$3700.00 a month you'd think they could serve a decent meal. Any requests my loved one has gets only lip service, they have meetings for the residents to discuss problems but nothing is ever done, month after month. The management is cold and uncaring, all business and no compassion for the people they serve. I don't think they have an elderly parent.

My family member lived here for a year and the care received deteriorated over that time. I was not informed of changes in my relative's condition promptly although I was health proxy. A room change was promised but when a more suitable room became available the appropriate room change was not made. My relative was found unkempt and unfed by visitors at the end of his life. I regret that I ever visited this facility and placed my relative there.

Peregrine's Landing at Cheektowaga was my second favorite facility. The facility is very large, but the bigger portion of it is strictly assisted living. They have this separate section, which is the memory care, and they specialize in memory care. They have a very, very large kitchen, sitting room, and TV room kind of gathering place. They had a lot of activities specific for people with dementia. They also have different activities for their memory care patients.

Peregrine's Landing was way out of our price range, but it was a very nice, very charming place, very lovely. They had suites, and they had studio apartments, which weren't at all what we wanted. I would have loved to have Mom there, but it wouldn't have worked. She was already in her own apartment but afraid to be alone, and I think that she needed more of a smaller area. They were very diverse. They had a very active coordinator. They had cocktail hours, pumpkin patches. They would take them on day trips everywhere. They would sign up for all different things. The staff was very nice, very accommodating.

Throughout the years I have visited several friends at Peregrines landing. Each time I was there the staff were always so kind and welcoming. I remember one specific encounter I had with a staff member-she was so warm and helpful I remembered thinking that Peregrines Landing is where I will want to place my father when the time comes!

Peregrine's Landing is a wonderful community for my mom. She has been a resident for several years. She enjoys the caring staff, every person from the servers in the dining room to the aides assisting her with her showers treats her with dignity and respect, the personalized meals (she is very fussy), and all of the wonderful programs and activities. She is able to listen to weekly musical entertainment, frequently goes out to lunch, and participated in all of the religious services. The best feeling I have is knowing we made a great decision when moving mom out of the house she had been living in, into the home she now has at Peregrine's Landing. Also, my mom is usually one of the lady's sitting on the front porch and welcomes every visitor into the building!

Peregrine's Landing was nice and clean but it was really for the very elderly. They were sitting on the porch and not saying anything so I was afraid they'll throw me out because I am a very talkative person.

Lousey...extremely bad food, for one. Seniors that live there complain amongst themselves about the quality of food. Servers are snarly and curt. Cleaning is sporatic at best. Activities are boring...just because they are seniors doesn't mean that they shouldn't have stimulating activities both inside and outside of the building.
