"Legacy at Cranberry Landing was a lovely community. It was very welcoming when you come in, it was very warm, and very cozy. The independent living was lovely, and they have a two-bedroom available. In terms of the location, it wasn't that far from me, but it was on the expressway, so it's not as convenient as some of the others. The dining area was lovely, although I didn't eat there. They had all the amenities like a beauty parlor and there were a lot of activities scheduled. I have talked to the residents who live there and everyone seems happy."

"I would like my sister to move into Castle Pointe. They interviewed her and everything, but they were saying she wasn't a good fit for that place. Everything was clean. I liked it there. The older ones can walk outside, sit down, and be free. They let them walk free, and I liked that. They showed me different rooms, and they're very tidy. It had a homey atmosphere. The staff who gave the tour was beautiful. She gave me all the details, and she answered all my questions. She got back in touch with me after they interviewed my sister. She's very, very nice. They're on point, and that's what I like about them. I met a couple of staff members, and they attended to their clients. None of them was dirty. It was very clean."

"My mom moved into The Village at Penfield, which is very nice. The people were friendly as well. Plus, she was closer to my sister in Penfield. Her overall experience was wonderful. It was an excellent transition for her. We had no issues. She's very happy there. The staff is wonderful, and the food is excellent, she says. There are activities they have every day that she enjoys. Her room is very bright, and it's nice that she can have her cat and bring her things in there. They have bingo. They have bus trips that they go on. They have trivia. They have a lot of different games and activities, and they work out in the morning."

"Elderwood Village at Fairport was excellent. Everything was beautiful, clean, and immaculate. They had games and exercises. Everybody was very nice during the walk through."

"My parents-in-law have moved in. The food and the portion size were good. The room that they are in is beautiful, there are lots of windows and light, and it's a nice-size and has a little kitchenette. It's like moving into a little apartment. The people there have been great and really helpful. I think it's a great community. "

"Hilton East Assisted Living was really good. I really enjoyed it. The people and staff were nice. There was something going on in the rec room while I toured. I only looked at a one-room or a two-room, not a suite, where there weren't any refrigerators. "

"I'm familiar with Seabury Woods because my mother lived there. However, it is private, so we weren't able to do that for my brother. It's a very good place. My mom passed away, but she was there for years, and it was nothing but a good experience. They're all very caring. They can't do enough to help you answer questions. For a small fee you could have a meal with your loved one, and the food is good. They would have spring dinner and fall dinner. They would make the dining area fancy like a restaurant. They would go out of their way to make things special. My mom's room was like a small apartment. It had a kitchen and a fridge, which she never used. She had a living room, a nice big bathroom, and all the pull cords. They do a lot to make the residents and their family welcome. They would have a party outside where they would bring in an orchestra-type band. They would do a cookout with burgers, hot dogs, and an ice cream truck. It was really very nice. There are activities for them to do. My mom took up painting. We never knew she could paint before, and the paintings that she did were amazing. They would go out to breakfast or lunch once in a while. They have an annual picnic at the Ontario Beach Park with their sister facility. My mom loved going on the big bus, and she was happy there. If you can afford it I highly recommend it, because you get what you pay for."

"The Village at Unity was nice. Their food was the best. I had a cauliflower crust pizza, and it was delicious. The rooms were kind of the same, but they were fine. The thing I like about them is that they are nice and bright. They weren't dark and gloomy like some of the others. They probably had the best transportation available, too. That would be one extra thing. They're good with their transportation."

"My mother-in-law moved to The Village at Mill Landing. The layout and atmosphere of the place are very good, it's clean and bright with nice rooms and nice people. They have daily activities, weekly schedules, frequent outings, a daily happy hour and they have various activities. Her room is large, bright, and well-lit with plenty of closets."

"My cousin just moved in and is very happy! She doesn't need nursing home care so this is perfect! The staff is very hard working and pleasant, she says the food is tasty and there is plenty of it, Melody, the director, has been terrific. She has helped us through every step of the process and has the patience of a saint! The place is clean and they have activities every day. I can't say enough for the safe, comfortable, and supportive "world" my cousin is now living in. I can rest now. Emily is home. Thanks "

"My father got to the Latta Road Nursing Home right on Latta. They were very very good to him. He was only in there a little bit before he passed. They had very very good hospice care. They were very friendly, very nice, and very attentive to both my parents. When my sisters finally get my mother to go home, they would call every couple of hours and would let her know how he was doing. They were very very nice to him. They played music in the room for him. It was a very much better experience. "

"I visited GrandeVille Senior Living Community and I was very happy with what I saw. It's phenomenal. I was very impressed with the diversity as far as what they offered and as far as activities. It had a very friendly atmosphere inside. What impressed me was an area for church service. It's like a church area in the community. The dining area was nice."

"We chose Rochester Presbyterian Home because they met all our needs. My mom has been there for seven months now. It's a wonderful facility. When you walk in, you just feel like you're at home. The entire facility is very homey. It has a lot of character to it. It's very warm and welcoming. There is a sense of peace when you walk in there. My mom has a very nice room. It is a bedroom with a bathroom. The staff is great. They do everything to meet the family's need. They're wonderful. They're not just working but they truly care about their residents. They're willing to work with you in any way if you need to adjust to anything. They go above and beyond their duty. This facility also offers a lot of activities for their residents. "

"I am looking for a Medicaid facility for my mother. Le Roy Manor has been recommended to me by friends who have had their own mothers there. This has been very hard and I have to say most facilities are not very clean and nice. I visited Le Roy Manor last week and found the staff to be extremely helpful. They helped to reduce my anxiety and were very helpful with all of the paper trail that I have to put in place. I did not find the facility unclean. I personally witnessed a gentleman (service industry) clean the floor like you've never seen. My interactions with the staff were very positive. They offered to request medical records, finish the medicaid application process and screen my mom within a week. The office staff had such wonderful attitudes. The facility offers activities for the dementia patients and offered to help with the transition that my mother will go through as she moves."
