"My mom has been a resident at Maplewood at Danbury for the past 18 months. My impression of Maplewood from my first visit was very positive. My impressions turned out to be correct. My interactions with all of the staff members, including the office, nurses, nursing aids, and cleaning staff, are favorable. My mom at 91 years young is leading a comfortable life with plenty of activity, excellent food, and quality care. I am 100% confident that she is getting the best care available. There is not much more I can say and my family and I feel very fortunate that we found Maplewood at Danbury."

"Bethel Health Care is a very nice facility, it is clean and the people who are there seem very well cared for. My grandmother has been there for six months now and has had no complaints other then the food, but she is an amazing cook and is never happy with any one elses food, including her own daughters. The staff is well trained, polite, caring and very involved in all the goings on at the facility. The facility offers free wifi and cable in each room and we also have the option for expanded cable and a box if we choose to pay for it. Over all Bethel is a very nice place and I would recamend it to any one looking for an assisted living facility "

"Maplewood at Stony Hill was beautiful. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about it. There was just one comment made by a staff member that sort of put me off. Although they have many levels of care, I didn't like that they would physically have to move from one level to another once they deteriorated. The place was absolutely beautiful, and the food was good. They sent us home with lunch and a pie. The place was very pretty. The staff we talked to was named Leslie. The facility was amazing. It's not brand new. It's been open for about six years, and it looks like it opened yesterday. They had a PT room (not so much a gym). They had a nice art studio and a beautiful salon. The dining rooms were very nice. They were set like you're going to a fancy restaurant. They had a beautiful outdoor space."

"My parents chose to spend their remaining years at Maplewood at Newtown. They never regretted it. The facility itself is beautiful - modern, clean and comfortable. But what makes Maplewood exceptional are the staff, who often feel more like extended family. Whether a resident is fully independent, or in need of extensive oversight, their needs are equally well met. The staff are compassionate and attentive. Medical care from the nurses is excellent. There are a multitude of activities across a wide spectrum to keep the residents engaged – lectures, art classes, live musicians, fitness classes, to name a few. I have no hesitations in recommending Maplewood to my friends and family. "

During each visit he has shown himself to be very well taken care of and happy to be living there. "My father is residing in The Landing of Poughkeepsie. The facility is fairly new and clean. They have a very nice entry, and it's only two stories. There's like a walkway that you can see from the entrance. They have elevators on either side. They have a large dining room for their three meals and snacks. They always provide fresh fruit. They have outdoor patio areas for sitting, a movie theater, a game room, and a café-style where they hold bingo and other activities. They have transportation to doctor's appointments and shopping a couple of days a week. The residents all have call buttons for care. There's always health care available and somebody in the building to assist if you need help. They have a laundry service. They do medication distribution if needed for an additional cost. It's fairly quiet there. The biggest drawback is that, like everyone else, it suffers from a lack of employees. They do get a couple of choices with their meals. It is a tableside service, so it involves the employee. The director is great. It's very expensive, but I think my dad is getting good service."

"My great grandmother is a resident at the Johnes home assisted living care in Newburgh NY where she has been for the past few years. Grandma is well taken care of here and she absolutely loves the array of activities and she has made many friends. They know all of us as the family by name which says a lot about the facility where they are located in picturesque Hudson Valley. There are about 30 people who love there year round and they even have staff that live on premise and close by for after hour emergencies. Overall, we are very pleased with the level of care here and we checked out a ton of local places for Grandma but none compare to the Johns home. Kudos guys!! "

"I visited this assisted living center when my great Aunt was living here. She got sick around the age of 60 and lived there for nearly 10 years before finally passing. The facility itself is very well kept from the outside. Gardens, paths, and fields surround the building with ample parking up front. Upon entering the lobby is spacious and inviting. The front desk help, however, have never been too particularly friendly. Not once while I visited did they greet myself or my family. Inside amenities for residents were plentiful and offered many different activities. Bingo was a hugely popular event and I even participated a couple times myself. As a whole, the inside of the building was kept in decent shape, but seemed to be a little bit older and needed some visual upgrades to see more modern looking. The rest of the staff was basically seen but not heard until a resident requested it. However, that did leave time for families to interact in private. There were many different opportunities for residents to interact with each other, other than bingo that is. Groups of different interests were apparent and jigsaw puzzles always brought them together. Overall, it was a very decent quality place for those living there. "

"Country Inn is much smaller, but it has a very nice and very homey feel. They don’t provide as much medical help, so you have to be more self-sufficient to be there. It was a cute little place, and the price was very reasonable. "
