My father was a resident at Springvale for 20 months. He was well taken care of by an amazing , caring , confident and professional team of nurses, doctors , aides and therapists. The facility is clean and there are many activities for the residents. He was treated with respect and dignity and was loved by the staff. This facility kept him healthy and safe during the pandemic and is one of the few facilities which has kept the virus to a minimum by their strict safety measures. My Dad recently passed of Lewi Body Dementia and we are grateful for the excellent care he received at Springvale.

We toured The Springvale Inn. It's assisted living. They have quite a wide range of assisted living there. That drew us to the place. It's also about seven or eight miles from where my mother-in-law lives, so it's not too far to travel there. But their ability to care for my father-in-law is questionable at this point because his health started declining. They didn't have a Hoyer lift to get him in and out of bed, and they did not accept Medicaid. So they didn't quite meet all our criteria, and it's an older facility. The staff seemed friendly and interactive. They have activity rooms and schedules and activities, a library, and things of that nature. It's an older, former hotel from the 1960s, and they're undergoing upgrades and updates. So it looks old when you look at the rooms. But I think they're certainly capable of handling assisted living residents, and I saw a number of residents participating in activities while we were there. It's close to restaurants and hospitals.

The Springvale Inn was gorgeous but it's way too big. I stood at one end of the hallway and I said, 'my mom can't do it.' They said that they have to get themselves to the dining area on their own power, but my mom needs more assistance than that one does. The Springvale Inn was very clean and organized and the rooms were spacious. That part was nice. The only part I didn't like is that the halls were extremely long. It was beautiful, but it was too big for my mom. I only met two people and they're extremely nice and really helpful. I only saw one room and it was being redone. It's gorgeous. They had a salon and a beautiful courtyard. They had a bingo hall, a big dining area, and a smaller dining area where you could hold family things. It was very clean.

I went to The Springvale Inn. They have physical therapy that comes in from another company. They have a dining room. What I didn't care for was it was on a couple of levels. Another thing was you had to bring your own furniture. It was assisted living and they had three levels of extra care if you needed more help. You could drive a car right into where the entrance is to drop somebody off or pick them up, but the parking wasn't as easy there. They did a nice tour. They explained everything to me and I was able to see what they had. The staff during the tour was very nice and very informative, but much more formal or business-like.

I went to The Springvale Inn yesterday. It's a nice clean place. I don't know if it would be great for my friend but it's a possibility. This was fine. It was a little bit expensive. The apartments were quite small, and it was an apartment building setting rather than an area of smaller buildings with walkways and lawns and stuff like that. The staff were helpful. However, I didn't think their facilities were exceptional. They have a craft area and an area where they have barbecues in good weather. Its location is not far from restaurants. The upkeep of the place is very good.

I visited The Springvale Inn and had an informative tour. They had studio apartments, small one-bedroom apartments, and the largest one bedroom apartments with and without private balconies/patios. They had a salon, physical therapy unit, and a restaurant style dining room. The place just wasn't to our liking. There was too much of a nursing home feel to it, but there's nothing wrong with the facility itself. It was just not for us.

The staff at Springvale is very caring. They go out of their way for the residents. The rooms are lovely, cleaning is thorough. There could be a greater variety of activities, but (pre pandemic) live music for “happy hour” each week, and holidays was very festive. Food service leaves something to be desired.

The facility is clean and bright. The staff is conscientious and responsive. Mom feels safe and well cared for, which is the most important thing.

My Mom has dementia and she lives at Bethel. The staff is wonderful, caring and compassionate. When I call they always know exactly where she is and how her day is going. They know who I am when I come. It is a family atmosphere. I am so relieved and I don’t worry about her care at all. Beside that she is happy and loves all the activities they provide. I am so happy we found Bethel and for the amazing people that work there!

I could not have found a more caring and kind place for my mom, Patty and Patti are a truly amazing team! I can’t thank them enough for the support they provided through the selection process and move. After looking at many of the for-profit homes in the area I wasn’t sure that I would find a good fit, and then I found Springvale. You can’t underestimate the difference it makes to work with a mission-driven, non-profit assisted living facility!

I am so pleased. My Mom, who is 96, lives at Bethel Springvale Assisted Living facility. She has resided at Bethel Springvale for the past 6 months, and has adjusted very nicely. Mom has a lovely, sunny, bright room. I feel she is in a safe environment, which gives me peace of mind. She also gets care from the helpful aides, and nursing care is there, if needed. She has an aide that escorts her to breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. The Administrative staff is available to answer any questions that come up. We are very thankful to have found Bethel Springvale for Mom.

My 95 year old Mom became a resident at Bethel Springvale Inn in October 2017. I noticed the down to earth kindness and concern of the staff to me and for each other from my introductory visit. I see my Mom between 2-3 times a week and have consistently seen this care for me and my Mom during every visit. The administration and medical staff are available and ready to help with information and advice whenever asked. The caretaking staff engage with my Mom and offer her choices in activities, meals and how to spend her time. She is allowed to be as independent as possible while having watchful eyes on her to help when necessary. I am very pleased with my Mom's living choice at Springvale. It is comforting to me to know that she is in good care and she is able to have the best quality of life that can support her needs.

Bethel Springvale Inn was terrible. The tiles in the hallways were moldy and rotten. The apartments were dirty and dark. It was a very bad experience. The staff was OK and showed me around. It reminded me more of nursing home rehab that my mother had been in. It was old and dirty. The dining area didn't look fancy. It was hospital-style. They had a little room, but it wasn't anything I ever wanted to be in. My father is independent in all his care and his medications, but Bethel Springvale Inn said he would have to give up his autonomy of giving himself his own insulin and pay $1,000 as an ala carte menu to get the nurse to do his insulin.

Nursing staff is very compassionate, working with residents and all of their needs. Aides assist residents according to their individual needs. Servers in the dining room assist residents in the selection of what they will eat.

I found Bethel Springvale very rundown, dark, and old. I think it was the least expensive of all. The lady who showed me around was very nice. The library was small and functional, but it was not anywhere I would sit and read a book for a while. It was not a place I would recommend.

Dad entered after mom passed until he, too, passed. I felt as if I were with family when he passed due to all the Springvale staff who approached me with stories about dad. He felt at home and wished mom was with him because she would have loved it here.

I wasn't very impressed with Bethel Springvale Inn. The best things about it were the nursing and the medical care. They had all the doctors on-site. It was a little seedy, and I just didn't feel it was well-appointed. The halls were grey, there were no paintings on the walls, and there was nothing to liven up the place. The dining room was small. The two staff members I did meet were very friendly. The facility offered prescription services. I thought that was the biggest selling point. However, the place was very drab and dreary to me. They need to update the place because it just looks a little worn out.

Bethel Springvale Inn was horrible. The minute we walked in the door, we could smell urine. It was awful. First of all, there wasn't any parking. It was old, depressing, and the hallway was lined up with people in wheelchairs. I would not put anybody there.

The administration is excellent and go out of way to help. Housekeeping is excellent, keeps room clean. Maintenance is excellent, they are out there at all times. Dining room servers are courteous and excellent. The front desk is helpful and excellent in their duties. The nursing staff is excellent and knows what they are doing. Transportation needs help, but otherwise, will say everything is excellent.

The Springvale Inn is clean and they seemed to be very sensitive to the senior and the caregiver seems to be very caring. They have a lot of activities for them to keep them very busy and active. They do have a pool; the families and members could also utilize. They have also dental on site, two doctors on site and nurses. Everything is pretty much consolidated, you don’t have to travel unless you have a scheduled doctor’s appointment outside the facility. They supply transportation if needed. The dining area is very nice. It’s restaurant dining; very cozy and nice. I haven’t eaten there yet but the menu looks appetizing. Mom is going to have a very nice studio and it’s comfortable, carpeted floor and nice. They have tub and shower stool. It has all these safety railings on it. The visit was excellent.

The Springvale has it’s pros and cons. The aide a little bit more than other assisted living facilities. If they need any help with anything, they have to pay a private person. They have limited activities; they don’t have a whole bunch of activities for people. I don’t think the staff interacts enough with people. I like that my mother has her own room, it's quiet, and it doesn’t have a hospital look. It used to be a hotel or an inn, and they converted it. The dining room has like a wall like of rocks in it, like an outdoor type of thing. They help my mom go to dinner, but half the time, she is in her room, and nobody is engaging her in anything. I would like it if they had more exercises, did more activities, and were more interactive. I think she spends too much time alone even though she is friendly with the people. My mother is not terrified to be there, she is comfortable and relaxed.

The Springvale Inn seemed to have the best of both worlds. Financially, it was in her price range and it was for 55 years so she would have independent social life. It was only 15 minutes from where I lived so it was close. Since it was an independent living, there wasn't so much staff. We talked to the rental staff that was there. They seemed to be fine and accommodating. The facility seemed to be up dated and up kept. Every time there was a new tenant, they complete renovated it and made it seemed new.

My ex-husband is already in a place and all is settled now. He is at The Springvale Inn. My daughter chose it because they had an opening. They were willing to take him. Also it was the price that he could afford. The facility is near my daughter's house. It is nice though it is an older place. So far, we are very happy with it. My ex-husband likes it there too. He has his own little apartment, which is very nice. He has his own bathroom and kitchenette. He likes his apartment. The staff is very nice. They are very friendly, very kind and they treat my ex-husband very well. They're very caring and very personal. They know everybody. The staff's work ethic appears good. The food there is really good. We had a dinner there. We talked to their chef. Over 80% of their food is made from scratch, so it is almost homecooking quality. The dining room is nice. They would sit my ex-husband with a group they thought would be good for him. However, because the facility used to be a hotel, their dining room is not a huge dining hall. They had to do a couple of feedings for their residents. For activities, they have happy hour at night, they would do little trips, etc. There are more men there than you usually see in a facility, so that's good for him. He plays cards with them. They also have an exercise room and a pool in the basement.

It seemed to be a clean, comfortable friendly place. All of the people we came into contact with were friendly, courteous and helpful. The facilities are a bit outdated but still acceptable. I think it would be better if more public transportation would be available for the residents. There also does not seem to be much in the way of relaxation or entertainment facilities for the residents.
