"I went to look at the Pine Ridge Family Type Home for Adults. The woman who runs it is very nice. It's very small and very much like a family home. The rooms are very basic. The woman who runs it lives there. There is some outdoor space for sitting outside. The meals are included."

"I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my 95-year-old mom receives at the Vanduzer Family Home. Brian and Donna have cultivated a safe and nurturing environment which in turn brings me immense peace of mind knowing that she is in such good hands. The Vanduzer Family Home are truly dedicated to their residents. My mom is always well attended to, and it’s evident that they genuinely care about her well-being. She is well-fed with nutritious meals, and her grooming is consistently on point. My mom has been there four months now, and one of the biggest changes I've noticed since she moved in is her happiness. The social interactions with staff and other residents have made a remarkable difference in her mood. She seems more engaged and lively. The home encourages these interactions, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that fosters companionship. Also, they are very accommodating to family members, making it easy to visit and spend quality time with my mother. Overall, I would recommend the VanDuzer Family Home to anyone seeking a loving and supportive environment for their loved ones. The care, attention, and family-like atmosphere they provide are truly exceptional, and I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place for my mom."

"My mother moved into Ivy Lodge. So far, so good. She seems to like it. They seem competent and caring. It's not a corporate or institutional kind of a place. It's sort of like a grandmother's home. It's like a bed and breakfast. The one thing we're not too thrilled with is some of the staff were not vaccinated. They've given all the residents booster shots, so that's still kind of playing out. She likes the food. The portions are about right, and so far, no complaints. It has kind of a nice, homey atmosphere. It reminds me of somebody's house. They have exercise, but Mom is really not partaking of anything. The activities seem pretty typical."

"Braemar at Wallkill is a beautiful place, and they actually had a separate dining room if you had a meal with friends which I thought was really nice. It would look like your dining room in a home. They had a bar for Happy Hour, it was fun, and they actually take 80 Medicaid beds, so that's why I went. The staff is very professional and helpful. They had a beautiful library and arts and crafts. "

"We love The Landing of Poughkeepsie. It's like a mid-luxury hotel. You get a very good feeling when you walk in. Everybody is happy and the people who work there could not be nicer. Everybody went out of their way. They introduced themselves and made us feel welcome and assured me that my mother was going to be in good hands. She's doing pretty well. She has a studio with a kitchenette, but they also have two-room suites and one-bedroom apartments. They have a happy hour, and the residents who are allowed to drink can have wine. They play games, they have arts, yoga, stretching classes, a little movie theater, a cafe, and a dining room. It's a nice place and it's big enough that you feel like you're getting some exercise walking around, but it's not so big that you dread it. The food is good. The facility is perfect, and it doesn't smell. Compared to other places we saw, this is the best value for the money."

"Paramount at Somers is wonderful. My Dad was in very bad shape when he got here. Down to under 80 lbs, and having many anxiety problems. They got him back on track. He is now 130 lbs and has most of his anxieties gone with the help of the psychiatrist. Got him on the right meds. Nurses are wonderful, but overworked. I would whole heartedly recommend this for senior care."
