I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Maplewood at Stony Hill is beautiful and new. Everything is clean and very appealing. My mother-in-law is participating in many activities and seems to be enjoying it. The staff is very attentive, and the food is very tasty.

I visited this facility

Maplewood at Stony Hill is a state of the art facility strictly for dementia patients only. It had farm-to-table and had a chef who cooked right in front of them. It goes to end of life unless you need skilled nursing care like an IV tube or feeding tube, but if my mother is in a wheelchair and a diaper needs a hoist, they can do that, and that was important to me that I didn’t need to move my parents to a nursing home. It's brand new, and they do cocktail time, live Skype on big TV for the dementia patients, and all sorts of phenomenal dementia care things. They start at about $6800 for one person, which is their flat rate.

Provider Response

Licensed nurses 24/7 makes this a great facility for an individual with memory loss and medical issues. The staff members are caring and compassionate and well- versed about the daily status of each resident allowing them to address personal needs. My mom has congestive heart failure with associated memory loss. She is very happy at Maplewood and consistently expresses that the staff go out of their way to make her comfortable. I recently stayed with mom at Maplewood for 8 days and have nothing but positive feedback to report. The food is healthy and creative and the Chef will accommodate any reasonable request. The physical property is lovely and there are socialization opportunities as desired. I live in the Midwest and am dependent upon the nursing staff for updates; they are always on top of Mom's status and sensitive to my concerns. Do yourself and your loved one a favor and visit Maplewood at Stony Point; they have other facilities in the same area as well.

I heard about Maplewood from a Caring representative. It’s brand new and absolutely beautiful. The dining room was exquisite, and the food looked very good for the patients. The grounds are beautiful and had beautiful surroundings. The people were wonderful to talk to.

I visited this facility

I visited Maplewood at Stony Hill. We were treated in an excellent fashion to an extraordinary lunch. Their cuisine was beyond comparison. We had one of the directors with us explaining all kinds of things, and it was a very pleasant experience. It's brand new, and it is exclusively for dementia patients. It was an open house, and I did not understand all the decorative things that were done for dementia patients -- the carpeting, the lighting -- but it wasn't obviously abnormal. We saw a few people doing a few activities. We saw a room, and I like the showers very much because they had no lip.
