My former husband is a resident of Maplewood at Stony Hill. The place is lovely. The people are great. A couple of times he tried to get out of bed himself, and he ended up on the floor, but they call me every time he does, and he's not getting hurt. The staff is very nice and very kind. They're all good. The food is nicely prepared. In the summer when it's nice weather, he goes outside. They have a lovely patio, but they also have grounds. It's just really a nice place. I have no complaints about the place other than the fact that he was having to pay extra, and they don't take Medicare. These people do a nice job on the food. Unfortunately, my former husband is on pureed food, but that's okay. It's kind of cute because what they do is they make it look kind of like what it's supposed to be, in the right shape and stuff like that. This place has been top-notch. This place is lovely. They're just trying to keep them occupied and try different things. They have an arts and crafts room, and another room to play games and stuff.

My husband moved into Maplewood at Stony Hill. I'm not there enough because it's so far away from me. It takes me two hours to get there. My husband has private care there right now, and they're not the ones taking care of that. The facility is excellent. They play music sometimes. They have textile-type things that they can do on the tables. I have to pay for 24-hour care there, separate from their fee. The rooms are very nice and exceptional.

My father moved into Maplewood at Stony Hill. It's very clean. There is a smell there, but that can't be helped. They seemed to be on top of things. They were able to straighten up my father's medications, for which he would be agitated at times and had issues with. They have a doctor who comes a couple of times a week, and he was able to be seen by the doctor. The doctor adjusted the medication. So, knock on wood, everything seems to be going OK. I went there on Father's Day and they had all the residents in this one large room, and they were waiting for some sort of entertainment. They also shared with me videos of him dancing. It seems like he's enjoying himself.

Never ever send your loved one there. They care more about the money than your loved one!..my mother was found covered in vomit and mucous when EMS arrived. Unacceptable! RUN!

I visited Maplewood at Stony Hill. I didn't like the room at all because it felt so dark. The hallways and the decor in the hallways were dark. The assisted living was different from memory care, but the memory care side felt very, very depressing. The staff was nice, but I didn't get the warm and fuzzy feeling that I got at other places. They're executive type women and they just gave me a speech. I felt it was very businesslike, not a homey feeling. I paid a lot of attention to cleanliness, and it was fairly clean. The decor in the dining room was gorgeous. It was really beautiful and extraordinary, and that was my best impression.

Maplewood at Stony Hill is a nice place for my mother to stay. It reminded me of a hotel almost. Everybody is very polite and willing to help. Everything was great until they called me and told me that my mother fell and she wound up in the hospital. When they found out there was nothing wrong with her, they just sent her back the same day. She has a very nice room. It is small, which is good, because she doesn't need too much. She has a studio with her own bathroom and her own shower. She's got a dresser and a TV. It's very nice. They give mom a choice between one, two, or three things of what she wants to eat and if she doesn't like them, they'll take it back and give her something else.. They also have lots of common areas and lots of activities. They have something scheduled in the mornings and the afternoons. They have snack time where they go around and give snacks. There is an art class, a karaoke class, and movies to show as well.

Maplewood at Stony Hill was beautiful. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about it. There was just one comment made by a staff member that sort of put me off. Although they have many levels of care, I didn't like that they would physically have to move from one level to another once they deteriorated. The place was absolutely beautiful, and the food was good. They sent us home with lunch and a pie. The place was very pretty. The staff we talked to was named Leslie. The facility was amazing. It's not brand new. It's been open for about six years, and it looks like it opened yesterday. They had a PT room (not so much a gym). They had a nice art studio and a beautiful salon. The dining rooms were very nice. They were set like you're going to a fancy restaurant. They had a beautiful outdoor space.

Maplewood is a strikingly lovely place and the staff very welcoming… that will be your first impression. Then you get to know many caring staff members who do their best to accommodate various physical and emotional needs of the residents. I often admire the patience of the staff. There are good programs to stimulate the residents’ minds, exercises for keeping in better shape, good food served in attractive dining rooms, occasional outings in the facility’s van, etc. The staff is willing to address issues that arise, mostly to our satisfaction. Many times upon leaving the facility I’ll remark to my husband: “I’m so glad Mom is here!”

I'm very interested in Maplewood at Stony Hill memory care. We looked at it and we were very impressed. The room that was offered and the woman who took us around were both lovely. I liked the fact that the dining room opened up into a garden where you could walk in and out as you chose. There was also an open kitchen so I was extremely impressed. They had a hair salon and they offer everything that the other assisted living places offer.

I’d like to say that our time at Maplewood was filled with such caring, calming and helpful people. All of the directors and staff seemed to always go above and beyond anything we expected. My father’s stay was truly a blessing and never for a moment did we have to think twice about his care during his time being at this amazing memory care facility.

I found Maplewood to be a safe and secure environment for my Mom. Being a 90+ healthy senior, she did not need a nursing home. Our needs were met along the way. Socialization, good food, lovely and secure. Covid became difficult for everyone. They did the best they could to keep residents safe. Kudos!

Maplewood at Stony Hill is very nice, and it's fairly well equipped. People are super nice and very attentive to the guests. We're pleased with what's going on. My wife is in a studio apartment. Due to the Covid lockdown, it's been very limited as to my attending anything else other than visiting her, which just started recently in her room. I've seen her exercise. The staff is very helpful. I've not had any problems with any of the people that are involved. It's very nicely laid out. People seem to have enough room to move about, and there doesn't seem to be any problem. Pricing was very competitive, and it was all-inclusive. It's 100% Alzheimer's as opposed to others.

If you are reading this review you are likely experiencing a lot of emotions as you face the difficult decision of assisted living placement. As our Mother's health declined, our family was committed to keeping her at home as long as possible, but eventually, it became clear that we were putting both our father’s health (as the primary care giver) as well as hers in jeopardy. The moment we found Maplewood-Stony Hill we knew we had found a very special place that would not only provide excellent care for our Mom but would treat her as a beloved family member. As we began the transition, the Stony Hill team quickly put their arms around all of us, since they knew better than we did that this change was truly a whole family affair. I really love that Mom is surrounded by people who care about her and that she's in an environment that is fun, comfortable and safe. She especially enjoys the exercise, sing-a-longs, and trivia games. As a compliment to the caring culture, physically the facility is beautiful and clean. Cleaning products are odor free and there is a concerted effort to keep things clean and orderly. The dining room is lovely with tablecloths and formal settings. Mom has special dietary needs and the chefs took great care to not only learn about her restrictions but her specific likes and dislikes. This is a great example of how I know how very well she is both cared for and cared about. We have been so impressed with the love shown to our Mom and the compassion and patience each caregiver shows as they provide care to each of us. This culture of care is present everywhere, from the front desk, maintenance and nurse assistant teams to the memory specialists, RNs, finance teams and the senior management who lead them. While this life decision will not be easy, if you decide that Maplewood-Stony Hill is right for your family, you will gain some piece of mind that your loved one is surrounded by people who truly care and that the environment is a comfortable, fun and safe place for them to not just live but thrive.

I will admit that the facility always looks nice and they have good food for the residents. Appearances aren't everything though. When my father was there, he had numerous medical incidents (e.g. falls) that we felt were never properly addressed or reported. Dealing with the nursing staff was difficult at best and, in our opinion, they were generally incompetent. Some problems were never addressed despite repeated notifications to management. We ended up having to remove my father on doctors orders after he ended up in the hospital after a fall. That's when we discovered he was badly dehydrated and had fallen a few times more than we had been told about. Probably not a bad place as a general assisted living facility, but if regular medical attention is needed, I'd keep looking. 4* for food because it was good, 3* for facilities because things were always clean although sometimes care of personal items was lacking (e.g. humidifier was broken), 1* for staff and value. Some staff members were great, but nursing was terrible and the good staff couldn't be on duty 24/7. Overnight staff had a habit of leaving lights on after bed checks.

Maplewood at Stony Hill is a very beautiful place. It's very new, clean, and very well put together. It has three levels with a nice garden, it's in a nice location, and seems well-run overall. The place seems open, but they have a locked door so people can't just wander anywhere. They have activity rooms where they have activities every day, and very nice cafeteria. It's a very expensive place, but he has a lovely room to himself with his own bath and its right outside the nurse's office.

Maplewood at Stony Hill is a state of the art facility strictly for dementia patients only. It had farm-to-table and had a chef who cooked right in front of them. It goes to end of life unless you need skilled nursing care like an IV tube or feeding tube, but if my mother is in a wheelchair and a diaper needs a hoist, they can do that, and that was important to me that I didn’t need to move my parents to a nursing home. It's brand new, and they do cocktail time, live Skype on big TV for the dementia patients, and all sorts of phenomenal dementia care things. They start at about $6800 for one person, which is their flat rate.

I visited Maplewood at Stony Hill. We were treated in an excellent fashion to an extraordinary lunch. Their cuisine was beyond comparison. We had one of the directors with us explaining all kinds of things, and it was a very pleasant experience. It's brand new, and it is exclusively for dementia patients. It was an open house, and I did not understand all the decorative things that were done for dementia patients -- the carpeting, the lighting -- but it wasn't obviously abnormal. We saw a few people doing a few activities. We saw a room, and I like the showers very much because they had no lip.
