Assisted Living Communities in Argyle, NY

"My uncle is at The Mansion at South Union. It is a nice place. It's just a little outdated. The staff seems OK. The living conditions are fairly decent. They have a very nice common area and a very nice dining room. It is very interactive and very group-oriented. Medicaid is accepted there. It's pretty clean from what I've seen. It needs some renovations, but it is livable. There are a few little odds and ends that need fixing. Like, for instance, when we went there to visit the first time before he had been admitted, he walked down and grabbed the railing, and the railing fell off. The staff has been very cooperative and very understanding. I have a vague idea of what their menu is, but that changes weekly. If you don't like that meal, they are very accommodating. They'll give you a sandwich, hamburger, hot dog, or one other option. I like the building a lot."

"I am a resident of the Home Of The Good Shepherd Wilton. It met all the requirements needed, I'm very comfortable here, the meals are great, and there's nothing else that I really desired. I've been here a few years. I like my bedroom and my living room. I have no problems with anyone, they've all been helpful."

"Woodlawn Commons was very clean and spacious. It seemed very nice. The grounds were nice and quiet. They showed us a two-section room, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. It had a small kitchen with a microwave and a refrigerator. There was a workout room, a movie room, and a common area where you could sit and read the paper and watch the TV, that kind of thing. The staff did a good job."

"My mother was in Wesley. I liked that they were very caring, and the food looked very good. The rooms were OK, like hospital rooms, but you could bring your own personal belongings like a TV. They were renovating the whole building at the time. They had a lot of activities like outings, manicures, drawingclasses, birthday parties, and more "

"Holbrook's Adult Home, Inc was a great place. Everything was clean and nice. The grounds were fine. People were pleasant. The owner was the one that gave us the tour, and she was great. She was very knowledgeable, showed us the whole place, and willing to sit down and talk to us afterwards. They had puzzles, games, TV, and they had people come in and play music and stuff."

"The Home of the Good Shepherd on Church St. in Saratoga Springs has gone above and beyond my expectations of care for my elderly parents. They take the time to get to know their residents and their families. They are caring and focus on each person and their specific and unique needs. Residents and visitors are greeted warmly with smiles and hugs. The employees are happy which in turn makes for a friendly environment. I love the fact that the residents wear their own clothes and have their own furniture. The visiting hours are open which is very convenient. And, I am continually blown away by the meaningful activities offered every day. There is a beautiful outdoor courtyard for walks and fresh air. The meals are prepared with residents needs taken into consideration. A truly wonderful place!"

"My mother-in-law is in a community called Danforth Adult Care Center. So far, so good. The people there go above and beyond, and they are taking very good care of her. I like the fact that it's a secured facility. They use the WanderGuard system, and they're a very hands-on place. They give the residents individualized care. The location is kinda remote but it's worth it. They're very personable, and they take time to speak to the families. They're coordinating Zoom calls so that we could still see our loved ones instead of just calling on the phone and talking. We actually get to see her, and she gets to see us."

"I feel that the facilities are well built and maintained, as well as the housing units. The employees like their jobs and treat the people living there with the most respect. "

"We chose Home of the Good Shepherd because it's close to my home. Everything was wonderful. We have not eaten there, but my mother has no complaints about it. She is very happy there. They have bingo and they take the residents out for activities. They have a piano room and they also do movies. They have whole bunch of rocking chairs outside in the front and they do like social hour out there. They have a whole list of activities everyday that the residents do. The staff are very caring to my mom. What I like best is that I feel that my mother is safe there and she is happy. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. "

" My little dog,Pete and I have been going up to the Countryside Adult Home now for a couple of month's.I knew no-one there on the first trip,but thought the Resident's would enjoy seeing Pete,since he is small and very friendly.I was right,they ALL loved him and now they love me too!We try to go up about 3 time's a week as time allow's.It is a very nice place for these people,and most call it "Their Home".The staff are all very careing and do a great job.It is unfortunate that a possible shutdown or relocating of these people may become a reality,as these folk's who live there are a great bunch of people and have had enough shuffling around in their lives already. "

"My in-laws moved into Vermont Veterans Home a week ago. They were able to work with us very quickly to get our loved ones into the space. The food and the facility seemed good. The location is beautiful. They have a nice pond and deer to look at. There's a nice outdoor space for them. The pricing is very good. The staff seems to be very friendly."

"My mother lived at "Willow Park" Assisted living facility for 2 years.Overall a great facility.Big bed rooms.They had private and Non-private rooms.Decent daily meals.They helped my mother out when she needed to take a bath or shower.Very nice staff,helpful,kind.The only negative thing I have to say is,they didn't have many activity's for the residents.My mother had an overall good experience! "
