"Support Ministries Ahana House is a beautiful facility. It is small and quaint but extremely well kept, and it sits nicely in a good neighborhood in Waterford. When we were considering this place for my grandmother, we were taken aback by the attentiveness of the staff, but thought it might just be a marketing ploy. My grandmother has now been living there for over a year and we can safely say that the service is just as good as was promised to us. The nurses are friendly, knowledgeable, and respond promptly. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be difficult to schedule a visit and consistently meet with the same staff due to their rotating nursing schedule. The food is excellent and the cooks are able to cater directly to dietary needs (and picky eaters!) They do group meetings on Mondays and foster a sense of community among the residents. I've recommended Ahana House to a few friends and plan to continue to do so. "

"Terrace At Eddy Memorial was very pleasant. It was not as up-to-date as the other place. It was a little outdated, but it was certainly clean enough. The room was bigger. The lady that I dealt there with was excellent."

"The staff was kind, the meals were delicious, the activities were fun and the smiles are what helped my grandmother through the last couple years of her life. What a beautiful facility. When my family and I would come to visit our grandmother we always knew upon leaving that she was in safe hands. I would recommend the facility to anyone who is hesitant about leaving a loved one in the care of somebody else. Pleasant valley is a beautiful place to live. I enjoyed visiting because there were always happy smiles and warm welcomes. "

"This was a beautiful place and I would live there when I reach senior years and need assistance. The staff was wonderful, they have a beautiful dining room with restaurant quality food! One special memory of this facility, on Christmas Eve they have a prime rib dinner for all the residents and their family are welcome to come for a reasonable price. My family enjoy spending Christmas Eve with my mother here. The dining was decorated with a tree and all in green and red, making it a welcoming environment. It was very nice for us to have a wonderful memory spending time with my Mother without the feeling of a nursing home. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for assisted living for either themselves or for a family member. This was a very stressful time in our lives and this wonderful facility understood this, showed the highest respect for their residents! "

"I really like this facility mostly because I know a lot of the staff and they know me and my family. They treat us very well here and they feed her very well. They have hi speed internet access which makes my aunt very pleased because she spends a lot of time on her computer. They have very cheap housing with great cable packages because she loves to keep an eye out on the news. Especially for holidays like Christmas they decorate the place up nice for everyone and have special dinners and events. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable assisted living facility. It's a great peace of mind knowing that your loved ones are in a place that they actually enjoy being and not worrying if they're being taken care of. I almost forgot that their Thanksgiving meals are usually phenomenal too because we're avid holiday feasters and if it's right in our eyes you'll enjoy it as well. "

"While nothing is better than living with your immediate family, Willow Park is about as good as it's going to get when it comes to assisted living facilities. My grandmother was placed in their facilities approximately 3 years ago and is extremely happy with her arrangements. She is a very religious women and can practice her Christian faith in their Chapel. Even though she has turned in her license, transportation can be provided to go anywhere most hours of the day for an additional fee. She has the option of eating up to 3 meals a day and gets an evening snack before bed. She doesn't have to worry about cleaning and laundry because these are taken care of by staff. The staff is very friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs. Willow Park is very clean on the inside and the staff maintain the building well. My grandmother loves getting her hair done and can get it done right on site. While some may consider the facility costly, I would strongly recommend Willow Park for you or your loved ones. "

"I went to Side By Side. The room there was very small, but the price was much more manageable. The ambiance was very good. It was down to earth as opposed to the other place that seemed a little bit higher class. The people here seemed lively and energetic, and the staff was superb. Emily was just delightful. The door we came in was into the eating facility, and the woman managing the serving area immediately greeted us to make us feel welcome, so I thought it was great. There were lots of people milling about. They were mobile and they knew the staff personally and they responded well to the staff."

"My dad is at West River Valley Assisted Living. They're very attentive and they involve my father in all kinds of events. They welcomed him into the community, and he is seeing people that he's lived with, in a previous town. It is a blessing. It is very clean. He's in assisted living and they upkeep everything from housekeeping to change his bed, get his vitals, making sure he's eating, and they check on him numerous times of the day. They also give him beverages. I would recommend this to anybody. My sister and I are right here currently at his residence, and dad is in a activity right now as we speak. They have crackers, cheese, wine, and just a little social event to attract people. He's been invited to an exercise group and bingo. They invite him down to breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and if he doesn't come down, they will come to get him or bring his food to him. There are quite a few openings here as well, so I invite everyone here."
