"Kimball Farms was fantastic, we can not speak highly enough of them. They are kind and caring from the nurses, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew. The food is delicious and we were able to dine together in the private dining room on occasion. I would recommend them to anyone in need of their services. There were several rehabs closer to home but glad we chose Kimball Farms. "

"Laurel Lake seemed very nice. It is an assisted living facility and they seem very flexible. He can go there for a week or two weeks, if my father wants to come up and visit, which is great. He doesn't need assisted living yet, he just needs independent living, and they were willing to look into that too. So I was very impressed by their ability to be flexible. The rooms were small but well-maintained. The staff gave me a very nice tour and they were very welcoming and also very willing to make any kind of accommodations necessary. "

"Sweet Brook was wonderful and made my great-grandfather's last days as peaceful as possible. The staff was lovely and friendly and always made my family and I comfortable. The building itself was clean, bright, and open, unlike some nursing homes which feel like hospitals. "

"My friend is staying at Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and so far, the staff has been cooperative and have kept me informed because, with COVID, you're not able to see the whole facility. I haven't seen the room itself, we just go to a visiting room. He thinks the food is good, so that's encouraging and I know they have movies and things like that. The facility looks clean also."

"The staff at williamstown Commons truly care. They are professional, kind, and compassionate. I am there daily and I see the interactions between staff and residents. They listen to the seniors and make every effort to ensure that they are taken care of and content. "

"This is a rather clean and well run home. The exterior facade is rather dull yet I found the inside is quite lovely. The employees are a pleasant bunch and are quite attentive. Whilst they work at a brisk pace they seem quite happy as they busy about with daily chores. The infirmed are noticeably content in their surroundings. "

"I would absolutely recommend The Grand at Barnwell Nursing Home. My husband was there for over five weeks, in physical therapy recovery. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They have an advanced rehabilitation program which helped my husband to get motivated, mobile and walk again! My husband’s stay on the 3rd floor was a pleasant surprise. The staff were responsive, helpful, very funny and so patient with my husband. A shout out to the aides on the 3rd floor, especially to Abraham and Adrian! They are so kind and very funny. They made a difficult time so much easier with kindness and a keen sense of humor; both took the time to make sure that my husband was comfortable and comforted, particularly when he was having bad days. They helped with showers, made certain he had a proper diet, and would often check in on him to see what he needed. And no matter how many times my husband needed to be more comfortable in bed with pillows or supports (he asked for help a lot!), they always responded promptly with compassion and kindness. I didn’t know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. They greeted us with a hello and a friendly smile. They made a stressful time so much easier; they explained to me what was happening with my husband’s care, what to expect and what needed to be done. Barnwell was wonderful to my husband myself and my family. I am forever grateful for their kind care and compassion."

"My dad is currently in a nursing home now at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The staff is extremely dedicated, patient, and caring. They've worked very well with me and my family to make sure my dad was comfortable. The outside is dated, but the inside has been remodeled within the last few years. It's clean, friendly, and it's small. It's based on three different wings, so he primarily just stays on one wing, which is good for him since he's a memory patient. I know that they have a memory wing that doesn't have great reviews, but he's on the rehab wing that has excellent reviews. They do different arts and crafts. They have music come in, church services, and a coffee cart daily. They do like shopping experiences and stuff, but he's not able to go. Their food is very good. It is a nursing home, so it's very expensive. But on his wing, I feel like he's been very well taken care of."

I want to give a special thanks to the maintenance crew for the care & compaction that they give to our parents in their time of need! I love you all Thank you! I don't think we give enough thanks to all at Evergreen Commons from the Supervisors to the people that physically serve our parents everyday! Even the front desk that are first to take our call's to get us to whom we need to talk to the kitchen staff that makes their meals Thank you. Well I am so Thankful for your continued care giving. Also the aides Thank you from the bottom of my heart you make my Mom smile & laugh. Believe me before Mom came to Evergreen Commons she was not doing well at all. Now Mom is up and about going to bingo & functions. Just Thank you! If you want a place for your parent to call home get them in Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing East Greenbush NY. I write this because this is the only way to thank them & give someone out their a place to turn to if they need a real home for Mom or Dad Happy Memorial Day"

"We chose Ghent Assisted Living for my friend because it was closest to where she lived so her friends could visit. We've also known about this assisted living for many years and it looked like a decent place so that's why we said she would go there. She moved in last month and she's in assisted living. She seems to be doing well and I think her medical care has improved since she went there. All of her doctors are saying that she's doing better. She's not completely happy, of course, because she wants to be home but she understands that's not possible right now. For the most part, they're taking good care of her. The staff seems to be nice, my friend says they are very nice to her. I've had dealings with them too because I go and visit sometimes and they all seem to be helpful. I don't have any complaints there. She says that the meals are good although sometimes they're not that great. They have activities but she doesn't participate in them, unfortunately. They have an activity department and they do things but I don't think she's interested in that. The place could do some updating as it's a little old-looking. It's hard to tell because it's winter but they seem to have some patios and stuff outside. Of course, nobody can go out there right now."

"My mom was in Rosewood a month ago. As far as the rehab part -- the OT and the PT -- it was excellent -- very good. They included her in all the activities, they went and got her, and they brought her out because she wouldn't remember to go. They made sure she got up to breakfast, lunch, and dinner so she could be with other people at the table to eat, and that was great. So, if it was for socialization, it was wonderful. She participated in the activities, she did her PT and her OT, and that part was great; that part was excellent. She had to have wound care because she had edema, and her legs just got so big, they split, and she had to have wound care, but I am not sure if they were kind of qualified or really knew how to handle it. They wrapped and bandaged it, but they were supposed to use solutions and wrap it every other day, and I just don't think they knew how to do that or were trained how to do that. So for that part, she got better care with that in the hospital than she did at rehab. But all in one, it was a great experience, she loved it, and they were very good to her, but I also went every day to make sure that everything was done the way it should be. I absolutely would recommend Rosewood for rehab, but I don't know about the nursing home part because we weren't part of that. "
