Mount Carmel Care Center

We toured Mount Carmel Care Center and we were very impressed by it. It was small, it was very clean, the staffs were very engaging, and the director was very informative and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. And we liked that they have their prayer meetings. It was just very, very nice. The people looked happy, they had a beautiful place outside where you could go. They said I could bring my dog if she wanted to visit with my mother. It just had a very nice atmosphere there. I saw the employees working with the residents, and they were very kind, very supportive, and seemed to know what they were doing. Everybody seemed to know what they were doing. I also got some referrals from people in the community who had family members there, and they said the same thing. They have double rooms, and the single rooms were also nice, but the cleanliness, organization, and everything were very good.

This nursing home is under new owners and the care is outstanding! Now called "Mount Carmel Care Center" the facility looks new, and the people there really understand what they are doing. I would recommend them to anybody that needs rehab.

My Mom is there and we are moving to another facility next week. The care is not there. They do not have enough help and the help is not trained for compassion. Most of the time waiting up to an hour for someone to come help transfer to a commode or bed. I don not recommend this facility to anyone that cares about their family member.
