The people from Holiday Devonshire Estates who gave me the tour were excellent. They made me want to live there. It's absolutely beautiful. All newly painted, new carpeting, new appliances, and a new game room. Everything in it is going to be brand spanking new when they finish. It is operating, all the units where people are living are completely finished. And they're still working on the library, the game room, and those other things, but everything else is brand new. And they have a great variety of activities. The girls in charge of activities are very enthusiastic. You can tell that they get the residents motivated and want to join the group.

I went to see Holiday Devonshire Estates for my mom. There wasn't anything that I liked least about them. They are an independent living facility, and we need more services than that. The staff was outgoing, pleasant, and well-informed. They have extremely clean public areas, and the private rooms are very well-maintained. Amenities include a library, a chapel area, reading rooms, and a jigsaw room. They have a lot of very interesting open spaces.

Holiday Devonshire Estates was a really lovely place. It was a very pleasant tour. The guy who took me around was very nice, pleasant, and helpful. He showed me the different options for living, from studio apartments up to full apartments, and then the facilities there, like the dining room, recreation room, and all the stuff. They were not aggressive or pushy. I was there around lunchtime, but I did not sample the food, but it smelled delicious. The place was immaculately clean. The floor plans are acceptable for the studio apartments. They are small, but the way they're set up would be livable if that's what I ended up doing. The one-bedroom apartment would be perfect, but that will be out of my budget.

I toured Holiday at Devonshire Estates. The tour was wonderful. Our guide was awesome as well. He took us to several different size rooms, which was nice. So you could get an idea of the different sizes and the pricing. The tour was great. The room is just a kitchenette with a very small refrigerator. You're not allowed to cook in your room, which that part turns me off because it doesn't have a full kitchen. Certainly, they had cabinets and stuff, but it's just a kitchenette, so that didn't appeal to me.

My tour with Holiday Devonshire Estates was excellent. Melissa was very informative and relaxed. She was an excellent salesperson and the facility was very nice. They have several different rooms. They have a one bedroom, cottages, and two different types of studio apartments. Every room had a balcony or an exit on the ground floor to the grounds around the place. There are parking spaces if you have a car. I love the idea that they are pet-friendly and it was very well kept. They have a library, a fitness area, a salon, and an activities room. They have activities planned and the menu looks good. All meals are included and from what I understand, it's all made from scratch in the kitchen. Like the blueberry muffin is not in a package. They make the blueberry muffins there or whatever it is that they're offering.

I liked the structure of Holiday Devonshire Estates, the kindness of the people that were showing me around, and the fact that they had a respite care option. That was helpful. They showed me the living arrangement for respite care for residents who live there. They even have a suite where family members can stay. I liked that. They had a dining area, of course, the worship area, a game room kind of area, and some sort of equipment.

Holiday Devonshire Estates is one of the ones that we are considering for my mom. I think what we like best about it was that it had everything that we needed for her like medication management, and social activities and they have someone that can come in and assist with transfer from bed to chair or from chair to the bath, things of that nature. They have everything that we needed, and so I think that's what I like most about it. The only concern I had is, that my mom has some stability issues, and even though the bathtub was handicapped-accessible, there was like a 3-inch lift that she would have to step over, and so that was one of the concerns that I had. But they have someone that can come in and help transfer her so that it's not a real issue. They are considered an independent living plus. If you need some services, they have some available, but I don't think it's considered full assisted living. I didn't see anything I didn't like. We only interacted with two different persons, and they were both fine. One is the one who gave us the tour and one is the one who talked to us about the activities, and they were very helpful. I like the socialization. There were a lot of activities and a lot of areas where the residents can congregate and do different things. There's a salon, a library, and a chapel for different types of services. There are several gathering areas. One activity they were doing was playing bingo, and there was another group that was doing crochet. There are several TV rooms, and they also have laundry available.

My mother will be moving into Devonshire Estates. They were offering discounts for the month of March like a promotional thing. We looked it over and we liked it. They gave us $800 off a month for three months. It was a 90-day lease, so it is a little pricy. It's right on the top of our price mark, but with the discount, it was doable. It's a nice place. It was clean, had fresh paint, and update it periodically. It looked professional. I was just impressed with it overall. I've had my uncle stay there before, so I am a little bit familiar with it. They showed me different apartments and different activities. It was a good overall experience. They asked me questions and it seemed like they had our best interest in mind and explained it pretty thoroughly, as far as activities that are available and everything. I just had to ask about the meals or dietary things. My mom's on low sodium and she just makes her meal. The staff during the tour was very helpful, very accommodating, and very knowledgeable. Meals are available. There's a room available to reserve if you want to have a little private meal with the resident there. They didn't offer me food, but once my mother is in place, we can make reservations to have meals with her. The room had a dorm size refrigerator and a freezer. It's kind of small, and it keeps some water and stuff in there. They have a stove that you can use. It is a small kitchen area where if you want to cook your own stuff, you could do that. You could bring your own microwave or coffeepot. They're not furnished, but the refrigerator is furnished, and it's up to you to bring whatever else you need to be comfortable.

I toured Devonshire Estates yesterday, and we're going to sign up with them for my sister. We chose it because they are secure and safe, they have amenities like three meals a day and room cleaning once a week, and the ability to do your own laundry at no extra cost. You can wear a device that you can press the button and ask for help if you happen to fall or whatever. Primarily, they're offering the particular needs that my sister has right now. Their activity room was somewhat limited. That was the only thing that I thought they could have had a much bigger, more plentiful-sized activity room. I did look at the menu and it looked fine. They had good activities, exercise, knitting, and they have a nice library. It's a whole room, an area where you can sit down and read. They have Tuesday night board games, another time someone from outside comes in and they do singing and entertainment.

The Devonshire Estates' resident activity coordinator is a very dedicated worker. She is extremely friendly, extremely competent, and very enthusiastic. She is also very outgoing and friendly. She makes everybody feel very important. I'm comfortable here. I'm also in one of the cottages, which is very delightful.

I have been living in Devonshire Estates for five months now. After a month or two, I wasn't too happy, but I'm much better now than I was towards the beginning. The food has gotten better. I happen to be in the food committee. I'm pretty happy there. The staff is wonderful and all the wait people couldn't be nicer. We have a new activity director and she is working very hard. I have a cottage. I'm not in the main building.

I liked the cottages at Devonshire Estates very much. It's one of those Holiday places where you can travel to basically any of the Holiday communities in the United States for free. I found it to be relatively reasonable. It was just rental, so you don't buy in. It's a lovely facility. The other units are very small, and they don't give you a stove, but the cottages had full kitchens. I'm in my 70s and most of the people there are at least 10 years older than I am, and I didn't like walking into a dining room full of wheelchairs and walkers. It was a beautiful facility. The dining room was beautiful, and the grounds were beautiful. The cottages were gorgeous.

Our experience with Devonshire Estates has been fine, and we have no complaints. The rooms are more than adequate, bright, clean, and accommodating. Some units have balconies, they change the sheets and towels, and everything is definitely catered and accessible to seniors -- like things are low and the toilets are high. It's a fully independent community, but they partner with an agency to provide other services for a fee that Devonshire doesn't. The staff is engaged, and they try to get the seniors to get out of the room to join the activities. They always have things going on everyday like musicians that come in. All the meals are included since the rooms don't have kitchen. They serve three meals a day and the food is always healthy, balanced, and fresh. They also have shuttle buses to take you out shopping or to venues and other events. The place is clean, fresh, and new, and the surroundings are beautiful. It has a light, bright, and airy feel, plus it's nicely furnished and it's well-appointed. What we're paying each month is fair because everything's included in the rent: electricity and heat, a shuttle, weekly cleaning, and three meals a day. It also includes the med alert that the seniors can wear around their neck for 24/7 monitoring in case they fall or have an emergency.

Devonshire Estates was very nice. If I could afford to, I would go there. They allow animals, which is the most important thing to me. The food was OK. I had lunch there a couple of times; one time was better than the other, but it was still edible. Everybody seemed very nice, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The hallways looked clean.

Devonshire Estates was quite posh and was relatively new and built for the purpose. It's quite professional, quite expensive, and upper class. It seems to cater to people with higher financial means or standard of living. The person who assisted us was very professional. They had Bingo, a little exercise program, and a bulletin board that told of what was going on and what would be going on. They provide a bus into the city on regular intervals so people could go and shop or go to a restaurant. The dining area looked very formal -- like a big hotel restaurant.

Devonshire was very nice. I actually live very close to it, almost within walking distance. The food was good. They did have some activities, but I’m not interested in things like that. It was all very lovely, and the food was very nice. It had a big dining room that felt very homey. Everybody knew everybody, and the wait staff was very nice.

I spent a night at Devonshire Estates. I stayed in one of their one-bedroom cottages, and it was very nice. It’s a beautiful facility. The food that they served was excellent. The staff was very cordial. All around, it was a very nice atmosphere. The dining area was very clean, and very efficient. They have enough staff to keep things moving. It was like a wait staff in a nice restaurant. There was something going on everyday whether it would be a movie or trips to go to shopping. The day I was there, a musician came in and put on a show. There were a lot of things to occupy your time.

I liked the location of Devonshire Estates. I live right nearby. When I visited, it was very clean and very well taken care of, and the people were very pleasant. The rooms were very nice. The whole place was very nice. They allow animals, which is the most important thing to me. I did have a meal there twice. The first time was very good; the second time was OK.

My uncle has settled at Devonshire Estates. He really loves it, and the food is all homemade as far as we know. The food is really delicious. His space is a little bit small, but they have a whole library, he is playing bingo there, and he is really happy. They even make their own ice cream; they do almost everything homemade. We were really pleased with the owners and the people who helped us. They actually help in getting him moving. They had a van that takes them to places.

My mother just moved to Devonshire a week or so ago. It seemed to be OK, and we chose this place because of its proximity to where I live. The activities are printed in their monthly outline of activities. My mother has been there less than two weeks, and she is just settling in, so it is really too early to tell or to make any comments one way or the other. So far, there is no real service per se that has been used except that there is a unit, and my mother is occupying it. There were different sorts of facilities available. She has a large studio room, and she came from a one-bedroom, so it is kind of a squeeze for her. It is really not as roomy as what she was used to, but it is more expensive than those places that were in Florida.

I chose Devonshire Estates for my mother because it has everything I wanted. What I like best about this community is that it is close to my home, and it has all the things my mother needed. She has a studio with a full bathroom and a refrigerator, microwave, and sink. It also has a porch attached. The staff is good. They have all kinds of activities. They have bridge, bingo, sing-a-long, piano players, and exercise class in the morning.

My dad moved at Devonshire Estates last January. We chose this facility because we were looking for something that was more of independent and not really assisted living. The place is very nice, and we could get all the care that we wanted for my dad, and it's also close to my sister's house, about 5 minutes away from her. The food is of good variety. Every meal, they have choices, and the food tastes very good. The staff is always looking great. Even the kids who serve, they have kids who work there after school, and they are very polite and very helpful. The rooms are very nice, and I think each of them has a balcony so that you can sit outside, and my father really enjoys that. The grounds are very nice. They have lots of activities going on all the time. I am very impressed with the place.
