"Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility has some very lovely people there. They've been very pleasant, they've been helpful and patient, so that's important. Because of COVID restrictions we're not allowed in, but outside it's beautiful. It's private and aesthetically pleasing. From what we've assessed, the value for the money seems good."

"Craneville Place in Dalton is a nice nursing home with great caregivers. I had went to visit a grandmother of my best friend a month or two ago and she seemed very happy. The facility was clean and most of the residents had smiles on their faces and happy to see visitors. My friends grandma likes it there and says she is well taken care of which is great! It makes it a little easier sending them to a nursing home when they like it especially because you dont know how they are treated once you leave. They residents are able to hang out in their rooms and watch tv or go to the common room, where we spent most of our time during the visit. The staff even offered us a snack while we were there and came over to chat with us. It was very homey and comforting. I would choose this nursing home for a family member of mine if the time comes and they need somewhere to go. I think it all really depends on the staffing taking care of the residents. "

"My father-in-law was at Fairview Commons. I had no problems with the staff or anything. It's been difficult with the Covid, you can't really go in, and I only went in once. The staff had been very nice. The nurses at the nurses' station had been more than willing to pass on information. The activity person who does therapeutic activities had been extremely helpful in doing Zooms, so that we could talk to him. The only issue I had with them was laundry. Laundry seemed to get there very quickly, but it didn't come for a week. Laundry was the only issue I had; everything else was fine. They had been more than nice and more than helpful. I have nothing bad to say about them, only good things at the moment. I have seen some of the Fairview Commons in person. I viewed the rooms from the outside, and they were very nice. It was the holidays, so they had a nice tree in the entry room. They had little visiting rooms, which were very clean, comfortable, and warm. I had seen a room, and it was very clean. They made sure the beds were made and everything was in order. The inside was very clean, nice and very well decorated for the holidays. I found it to be very comfortable. My father-in-law said he enjoyed the meals, and he said they're good."

"Uncle was sent to Timberlyn at Kindred because previous nursing home couldn't keep up with his changing needs. Timberlyn nurses and social service workers gave him the TLC he needed to get well enough to come back to Vermont. "

"Barnwell seems like a very nice place considering it’s a nursing home, with pretty good food of very good-quality meat, vegetables, and fresh green salad. I was very impressed. I only visited the rehab floor, and the accommodations weren’t great, just very minimal with little closet space. The staff seemed competent and friendly. They had good activities, but my friend didn’t go to any; I remember they have salsa dancing. I was there during a medical emergency, and the staff was extremely capable and proactive. "

"My dad is currently in a nursing home now at Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The staff is extremely dedicated, patient, and caring. They've worked very well with me and my family to make sure my dad was comfortable. The outside is dated, but the inside has been remodeled within the last few years. It's clean, friendly, and it's small. It's based on three different wings, so he primarily just stays on one wing, which is good for him since he's a memory patient. I know that they have a memory wing that doesn't have great reviews, but he's on the rehab wing that has excellent reviews. They do different arts and crafts. They have music come in, church services, and a coffee cart daily. They do like shopping experiences and stuff, but he's not able to go. Their food is very good. It is a nursing home, so it's very expensive. But on his wing, I feel like he's been very well taken care of."

"My mom was a patient at Sweet Brook Nursing Home in Williamstown, MA, on two occasions--one purely rehabilitative and the other a long-term admission from the time she broke her hip until she passed away. At all times, the Sweet Brook staff was responsive, caring, and professional. The facility was clean and kept in good repair. Family members were encouraged to participate in all aspects of my mom's care--emotional, physical, and social. Sweet Brook's physical therapy, nursing, and social work staff were always cognizant of my mom's needs and communicated with us regularly regarding her condition. The fact that they had a van that could transport my mom to and from any required outside medical appointments was a plus. The social program at Sweet Brook was wonderful - they had daily activities for residents who had different interests and for special holidays, as well. They were especially compassionate when my mom passed, and even held a special memorial service for those residents who knew and cared for her - _.and invited the family. A most positive experience during a very difficult time. "

"We chose Ghent Assisted Living for my friend because it was closest to where she lived so her friends could visit. We've also known about this assisted living for many years and it looked like a decent place so that's why we said she would go there. She moved in last month and she's in assisted living. She seems to be doing well and I think her medical care has improved since she went there. All of her doctors are saying that she's doing better. She's not completely happy, of course, because she wants to be home but she understands that's not possible right now. For the most part, they're taking good care of her. The staff seems to be nice, my friend says they are very nice to her. I've had dealings with them too because I go and visit sometimes and they all seem to be helpful. I don't have any complaints there. She says that the meals are good although sometimes they're not that great. They have activities but she doesn't participate in them, unfortunately. They have an activity department and they do things but I don't think she's interested in that. The place could do some updating as it's a little old-looking. It's hard to tell because it's winter but they seem to have some patios and stuff outside. Of course, nobody can go out there right now."

"The staff at williamstown Commons truly care. They are professional, kind, and compassionate. I am there daily and I see the interactions between staff and residents. They listen to the seniors and make every effort to ensure that they are taken care of and content. "

"I was on rehabilitation at Geer Nursing and Rehab. I had a good experience and was given good care. The staff was very accommodating, and they also administered pain medication. It's close to its sister community, which is a long-term community."

"I went to The FASNY Firemen's Home. It's more of a skilled nursing facility and my aunt is not ready for that yet and that's a lot more expensive. It was originally started for retired firemen. It was a very good experience. The problem with that place is there's a waiting list. It's like 9-12 months to get in. I like the location, the care, it's small, and the staff. I didn't check out the food, but I've known other people that have sent their loved ones there and they loved it as well. The staff was very friendly and very informative. The building was very nice. It's been remodeled, so it's nice and clean. The outdoor was nice. It's in a very nice setting and The Firemen's Museum is attached to it, so a lot of people visit there. They're very accommodating."

"We used Noble Horizons a couple of years ago. My cousin was there for rehabilitation, and that was a very good experience. She was very happy there, she liked it, and she would have gone back there the second time, but they didn't have a room for her, so she went to another facility instead. They had an assisted living area as well and a lot of activities. "

"Three of my family members have gone to this facility. All three left in better conditions than they had seen in years. Great medical oversight and kind and caring therapy staff. One of my family members still visits all the friends he made there. "
