Laurel Lake seemed very nice. It is an assisted living facility and they seem very flexible. He can go there for a week or two weeks, if my father wants to come up and visit, which is great. He doesn't need assisted living yet, he just needs independent living, and they were willing to look into that too. So I was very impressed by their ability to be flexible. The rooms were small but well-maintained. The staff gave me a very nice tour and they were very welcoming and also very willing to make any kind of accommodations necessary.

This facility is very expensive from what I've heard but you know what they say, you get what you pay for. Because this facility is very nice, clean, sanitary and well maintained. I would visit this facility once a week for about 3 months and everytime I went to visit the staff was very friendly and prompt to what they say they would do. They would also leave notes for me about how our consumer would be handling her adjustments and her attitude without me even asking.I've been to about 15 different facilities over the years and this is most definitely one of the cleanest, so if you're a germ freak like I am or if you're just concerned for the health and well being for your family keep in mind that sanitation is very important.
