The Terrace at Eddy Memorial

We have sisters who are residents of The Terrace at Eddy Memorial. What we like, first of all, is that the place is clean, which is important, and the staff is attentive. The sisters like the setup of their rooms. There are walk-in closets, and it is very ample. It's not cramped whatsoever. I helped settle a few of them into their rooms, and they were very happy with the arrangements. They get really good care. There's a good activity level. I've heard some complaints about the food, but not a whole lot. For the most part, the food is probably above average. When you walk in, it's very welcoming, with a lot of places to sit and flowers around. The staff at the desk is very helpful. They have an art class, and every Sunday they have a communion and religious service, which is really important to the sisters. We chose The Terrace at Eddy Memorial primarily because of availability and services.

Terrace At Eddy Memorial was very pleasant. It was not as up-to-date as the other place. It was a little outdated, but it was certainly clean enough. The room was bigger. The lady that I dealt there with was excellent.

We are leaning towards the Terrace at Eddy Memorial. A big factor is they're associated with St. Peter's Hospital Services, and we're already associated with a lot of the St. Peter's medical facilities in terms of doctors and needs. That seems to work well for us. Overall, everything was a "five." The staff during the tour was very helpful. In fact, we had a second tour. The first one was limited because they were having an unexpected inspection, so we went back, and she gave us another tour of places that we couldn't see the first time. They had all the common amenities, and we got to see patios, an activity room, and outdoor spaces, so that was good. We felt that it was very homey. They have the rooms that we were interested in on the first floor and close to the dining room, and the way it was laid out was nice.

The staff is very sweet to my mom and very accommodating. The apartment is very clean and very up-to-date. The food is not too good; she is not too crazy about it, and they are having trouble getting her to go to dinner. The atmosphere is very friendly and very clean. It is pretty, well-maintained, and well-kept; I just don't see anything absolutely exceptional.
