They let me know if something is wrong with her or if she needed something. Doctors also came to check on the residents.They had different activities everyday. "

"My tour at Kingsway Manor Assisted Living was exceptional. They're my number one choice right now. It was clean, and the woman I dealt with, her name was Kate, and she was exceptional and very informative. The facility was meticulous. The rooms were well laid out and nicely furnished. They also said that if we wanted to bring our own furniture, we could, which would be helpful, especially for a lounge or something that would make a person feel comfortable. But the whole layout was phenomenal, they're beautiful. The room I saw was more of a studio. They had a social hour or happy hour on Fridays, and they had a book group. I appreciated the fact that the meals can be delivered to my ex-spouse's room because sometimes he would have difficulty getting to a dining area, and that would be an awkward situation for him. The staff that gave me the tour was so poised so knowledgeable and she's a very caring person."

"The phone number is correct but the facility is actually located over on 3359 Consaul Rd in Schenectady, NY 12304. It is a great facility that really has a welcoming feeling once you walk in the door. The staff is also very compassionate about their residents which makes me feel comfortable knowing that my mom is in the right hands. "

"I placed my father at Marjorie Doyle. I did look around some of the other facilities, but I think this facility is the best fit for my father. They have more activities and more things that keep the residents active before they deteriorate, and I think I like that aspect of the Marjorie Doyle. They have professional people. The experience level over at this facility stood out far more than any of the other places that I went to. They attend to my father's needs. I really speak highly about this place. They have a lot of group activities and they go out on trips. They went to a musical and listen to concerts. My dad has been there only for few months, and they have all kinds of different things that they offer. They went to a museum, and I thought that was just really interesting. It is a cheerful place, and a lot of people are getting involved with all of the activities. "

"My mother was in The Terrace at Glen Eddy for respite care. The care that she got was very compassionate. They were very friendly. The only complaint she had was that she couldn't figure out how to get her TV to work, and that was basically operator error. It wasn't anything to do with them and it was her. She was displeased with some of the meals, but not totally. She liked some of them and then some of them, she didn't, but that's her. She had no complaints with the staff, she said they were very attentive, they were compassionate, they were funny. They liked her, and they gave her little gifts. She liked the staff. It was very nice, very well kept up, and they had a lot of things for the residents to do. A lot of activities, and they always tried to include her. Her apartment was adorable, it was really cute."

"We have just put in our application for Judson Meadows, and they've accepted it, so my parents are going to be moving in there. We were given five to look at, and I went through the five, and I selected two that I thought were the best match for what they were looking for. They went and looked at Judson Meadows. My mom wanted to go to a place, in her words, where she didn't have to dress up for dinner. She thought the people there were people that she could relate to, and the big thing is it's right in the neighborhood they've lived in for about 51 years, so they're very familiar with the area. It's also right in between where I live and where my sister lives, making it very easy for both of us to drive. So, location was a big deal as well. They're friendly and very accommodating already. They're able to work with us, and we've gotten things done quickly. We really like the surroundings. It's far off the road, away from traffic, and situated in a nice rural area. It was spotless and very organized. What I really like is the atmosphere of happy interactions between residents and staff, just like a great environment."

"Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center was nice. It struck me as somewhat more chaotic than where my husband is, but it's not bad. The tour guide was very good. The dining room was nice and restaurant style. The public areas looked very nice. The private rooms, and the shared rooms were fine. The reception was a like a mid-level hotel. The people were nice enough."

"My mother lived at "Willow Park" Assisted living facility for 2 years.Overall a great facility.Big bed rooms.They had private and Non-private rooms.Decent daily meals.They helped my mother out when she needed to take a bath or shower.Very nice staff,helpful,kind.The only negative thing I have to say is,they didn't have many activity's for the residents.My mother had an overall good experience! "Beverwyck's assisted living community is beautiful. I went in the main entrance and the receptionist was a senior citizen. She was friendly and I filled out an employment application. While I was there, some residents and visitors were talking in the spacious waiting area. Some residents were ambulating with walkers and an employee was going around watering plants. They have a gift shop off the waiting room. The decor is traditional and the rooms are immaculate. It's summer, so I could walk around outside. Many residents were walking for exercise along the meandering roads outside. The many residential buildings have parking lots and easy access. The facility was built recently and has the advantages of modern construction. Anyone would love living there or staying for awhile. "

"Beverwyck was friendly, competent, and informative. The facility seems clean and accessible. One reason I'm on a list is I'm waiting for a particular style of apartment that I like, and there aren't many of them. I like that they have some rooms, like the one I'm hoping for, which have a beautiful view and that was nice. Laurie is the marketing director there and she gave me lots of time. My son and sister were with me, and she was very welcoming of them and explained the money part of it so I could understand it. I liked that there was an indoor pool, that there was a room where they were showing films, and that they were redoing the library. I like a good library. They have a lot of hiking/nature trails and I liked that as well."

"Support Ministries Ahana House is a beautiful facility. It is small and quaint but extremely well kept, and it sits nicely in a good neighborhood in Waterford. When we were considering this place for my grandmother, we were taken aback by the attentiveness of the staff, but thought it might just be a marketing ploy. My grandmother has now been living there for over a year and we can safely say that the service is just as good as was promised to us. The nurses are friendly, knowledgeable, and respond promptly. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be difficult to schedule a visit and consistently meet with the same staff due to their rotating nursing schedule. The food is excellent and the cooks are able to cater directly to dietary needs (and picky eaters!) They do group meetings on Mondays and foster a sense of community among the residents. I've recommended Ahana House to a few friends and plan to continue to do so. "

The food is not too good; she is not too crazy about it, and they are having trouble getting her to go to dinner. The atmosphere is very friendly and very clean. It is pretty, well-maintained, and well-kept; I just don't see anything absolutely exceptional. "
