"We checked out two cottages and they had a nice, walk-in porch and a nice deck. They also have a den which could be used for a bedroom, which could give you two bedroom. There is a half-wall that divides the living room and the kitchen. There is also a room for your washer and drier. It has heating and air conditioning. I liked everything about it. The people also seemed very nice. "

"I toured The Terrace At The Glen. First of all, the facility is gorgeous. They have everything that you can think of. The other thing that I liked is the fact that they do have a continuum of care. Pam was extremely informative. She followed up without being intrusive."

"Home of Good Shepherd Moreau (Home of the Good Shepherd) is very clean and doesn't smell. The staff is all very nice. They have enhanced assisted living, so if my mother-in-law gets worse, she can still stay. If she gets to the point where she's on hospice, she can stay here as well. They help her get dressed and undressed, shower, clean her room, do her laundry, and provide her medicines and vitamins. They have a priest who comes once a week and does mass which she loves, and they have a rosary reading once a week. This morning, she went to see a group singing church songs. They've been very nice in taking her to these things. The staff is wonderful. Maintenance came in to put up the curtains, hooked up the cable, and put in her telephone. They've been marvellous. They offer her two things for lunch and dinner, and if you didn't want any of those things, you can have egg salad sandwich or grilled cheese sandwich, so there are other choices."

" My little dog,Pete and I have been going up to the Countryside Adult Home now for a couple of month's.I knew no-one there on the first trip, but thought the Resident's would enjoy seeing Pete, since he is small and very friendly.I was right, they ALL loved him and now they love me too!We try to go up about 3 time's a week as time allow's.It is a very nice place for these people, and most call it "Their Home".The staff are all very careing and do a great job.It is unfortunate that a possible shutdown or relocating of these people may become a reality,as these folk's who live there are a great bunch of people and have had enough shuffling around in their lives already. "I like that the Argyle Center Assisted Living Program allows you to come and go as you please. They offer different classes to keep you engaged. They pretty much have a private room set up. It was only a 35-bed facility. The least thing we liked about it, was that it was so far located in the country. There weren't many shopping areas there. The staff that assisted us was very helpful and knowledgeable. The facility was dated."

"Home Of The Good Shepherd Wilton is excellent and well lit. The elevators are fine. Their rooms are spacious and very clean. The ample staff members are very attentive, very qualified, very courteous, and very efficient. They don't have a movie theater, but they do show movies on a big-screen TV. They have an entertainment room, a small kitchenette, and a chapel. The dining area is very bright and airy. There are large windows on one side. It's not crowded, and it's very comfortable for people in wheelchairs or walkers. We had excellent meals there. They also have a pretty, little private dining room if a family wants to have a special occasion. They have flowers on the tables and nice dishes and silverwares."

"My mom will move into Woodlawn Commons in a week or so. I liked the quality buildings, quality staff, and it's close to my home, as a son. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and caring. They have all the services and amenities that you would expect in a quality assisted living facility, a staff that cares, and access to enrichment activities. They have a beauty salon. They have an entertainment room. They have a very nice courtyard."

"My mom was in rehab at Wesley Health Care Center because she had a stroke. She was only there for a couple of weeks. They did really well with her. The nurses were so friendly and so willing to tell me how she was doing. My mom also liked it there. We thought the nurses were great and she was really showing improvement; however, she had passed away. I would still recommend this place to others. "

"Home of the Good Shepherd was an advanced assisted living. I even tasted their food, checked out their dining area, the presentation, everything, and they're pretty much run in the same price as other facilities. The facility itself was exceptionally clean. The grounds were really nice. The staff seemed to work well together. I also saw their clients and just by watching their faces, they seemed to enjoy the staff as well. The management stands out the most. I paid attention to the fact that they knew every client by name when we passed them in the hall. Some of the other facilities couldn't help me because they just couldn't deal with the oxygen that my mom needed. But here, they talked to me about the physician, the transportation and the oxygen use for my mom. "

"Holbrook's Adult Home, Inc. was a very nice place, they had a nice dining area, and Debbie, the person who was in charge, was very nice. She showed us the rooms. They do have a porch where people can sit outside, they have rocking chairs out there. They had like a solarium where you could sit in there and read books, with big windows, and sunshine. That was nice. They had a nice dining room. They did have two cats that lived there, which kind of made it homey, and it was decorated very nicely. The rooms were nice, you could bring your own furniture, and they were spacious. The place was very clean. They were sitting down to eat when we were there. So people were coming in, sitting down at the table and everybody there seemed happy. I did see some people doing puzzles in another section of the place, and they seemed happy."

"I'm in the assisted living center called Home of the Good Shepherd. I chose it because of the location and the fact that I could bring my dog. They are very kind here. We get great care. I have a small apartment with no kitchen. I came because I was really sick. Right now, we're on lockdown because of the virus, so we can't go out to lunch or leave the place without getting a week of quarantine. The room is adequate. I got a big bedroom and a small living room. The staff is really kind. The experience is pretty good. They're really great. The place is comfortable. This is non-profit, but it's not shabby. The activities are more for people who are less able than I am right now. I don't want to play bingo and I don't want to do group crossword puzzles or listen to somebody giving talks about the life of some movie stars. I'm just kinda bored doing all of those things. However, I have friends and we watch good movies."

"My uncle is at The Mansion at South Union. It is a nice place. It's just a little outdated. The staff seems OK. The living conditions are fairly decent. They have a very nice common area and a very nice dining room. It is very interactive and very group-oriented. Medicaid is accepted there. It's pretty clean from what I've seen. It needs some renovations, but it is livable. There are a few little odds and ends that need fixing. Like, for instance, when we went there to visit the first time before he had been admitted, he walked down and grabbed the railing, and the railing fell off. The staff has been very cooperative and very understanding. I have a vague idea of what their menu is, but that changes weekly. If you don't like that meal, they are very accommodating. They'll give you a sandwich, hamburger, hot dog, or one other option. I like the building a lot."
