"We toured Trustwell Living at Cherryvale Place's assisted living for my mother-in-law. The place is very lovely and could be an excellent option. It's very pleasant. They had a lovely outdoor area for the residents. It was all on one floor too, which was nice. The person who took us around was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They had a big activities calendar, so I think they offer them but I just haven't looked at that because it does not apply to us as my mother-in-law is not mobile."

"My brother-in-law moved to Bickford of Rockford. We've been impressed by how they have initiated, like, physical therapy, speech, and cognitive therapy. They have assessed him and provided different programming that meets his needs. The staff was attentive, accommodating, and cooperative. They've been great. My husband goes and has meals with his brother every day. My husband doesn't eat the full meal, but he likes the dessert or different little things so he can eat with him, and it's very good. The facility is very clean. It smells fresh. Just the other day when we visited, they had dog training that came in. There were different dogs that came in, so it was kind of a fun entertainment program. It is worth the money. The cost of being there seems to be less than the facilities that my other friends and relatives have. I have not price-checked them at all, but just talking with friends the value seems to be reasonable."

"My mother-in-law is in Morningstar Village's assisted living. The place is very clean, very welcoming, and very warm. Her room is very pleasant. She's in a 1-bedroom apartment, and we moved her own furniture and paintings there. The staff have all been very friendly, very informative, and very caring. For activities, they have bingo and things like that but she is not in a position to participate because she's bedridden. They also have a salon. I saw them all lining up to get their hair done. For food, you can request changes from what's on the menu. I believe they have alternatives. My mother-in-law's food is mostly delivered to her room because she's not mobile. They have brought her down to the dining area once or twice."

"My friend has been in Charter Senior Living of Rockford for over a year now. They pretty much meet his needs. They give him extra help if he needs it and be safe if he needs to be watched 24 hours a day. They get to have their personal belongings and take whatever they can. It's very nice and it's private. They have their own space. They seem to be very well equipped on what their needs are. The meal preparation is good; their food is very adequate. They have activities, and it's up to them whether they want to go or not. They have cookouts patio, bingo, bowling, and spiritual things. They have different things like yesterday, the girls from my church came over and sang gospel songs to them."

"My mom is here. It is good. The staff is very nice. They are very accommodating, and they keep me aware of what is going on. The room that she moved into is clean. They have bingo, an exercise group, and a movie day. Once Covid is over, they'll have excursions outside of the facility, but right now they can't do that."

"I toured Independence Village of Rockford. It was clean. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms are nice-sized. They've got the elevators. They've got most of the amenities. They have some outside places where they can go and sit and enjoy, like a garden, and they have all the activities. The view of Independence Village is not the best because it's in a busy part of town. It's a nice part of town, but it's busy. They're not country views. They're city views and almost suburban type, not homes but shopping, Walmart, gas station, and restaurants, and that is what the view is at Independence Village. They have a court, which is very nice, and outdoor activities. They can plant and stuff like that with their activities, and they travel. They're updated. They've been working on renovations. Their dining area is very nice. The other areas are open, and they're sufficient on each floor. They've got almost like a balcony area from the elevator, and then, you can go down and look down on the open area of the first floor from the entryway onward. That's nice, so all the windows on that side are very bright."

"I toured the Grand Victorian of Rockford. It's classy, and even though it's grand Victorian, it is still more modern. It doesn't make you feel like you're walking into a Victorian mansion. It is very welcoming and comforting. They've got all of the services. Everybody was pleasant. I love some of the rooms. It's all one room, but it has a half wall that you can split to have your bedroom on one side and a living room on the other, which impressed me and was wonderful. A gentleman took me on that tour, and we were standing and talking. One of the staff members introduced herself to me and said how wonderful the place is, even to work there. She seemed sincere. It didn't feel like a setup. Most rooms have a refrigerator and a microwave, but no stove or anything, even for assisted living. So, the person can still have snacks or do things in their room. They have the pull cords and everything, but they also track whether or not somebody is showing up for meals. They all have a button on them. The nice thing is that they are aware of their people and call people by their names."

"My mom moved into Lincolnshire Place, and it's awesome. I couldn't even give it a higher comment. They're very good, and they're taking very good care of my mother. They keep all of the people active. They have activities throughout the day. The food is wonderful. They check in on my mom all the time, so she's very happy. My mom enjoys all the meals, plus they give snacks throughout the day. The bathroom is nice. My mom's room is big enough. We've got her a bed, a couple of chairs, her old dining room table, and a TV. We've brought some pictures in, so it's nice. We're having her birthday party there at the end of June, and they have a very nice room that opens up to the outside, so they can accommodate the family. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. They come in and check my mom's temperature and blood pressure. They tell her when activities are going to start or if she wants to come down for a snack and chat. They'll come and get her. They check in on her to see if she needs her bed made or any help, like getting ready for breakfast. They have one CNA there who comes and sets her hair after it's washed. They have chair yoga, sing-alongs, and Bible studies on Mondays. They go outside. They have entertainment that comes in. There are two sides that house 20 people on each side, so it's not big, so they get attention. The residents can socialize. They have a pool table."

"Mom is at Manor Court for around 6 weeks now, and it is a great place. It is fairly new. She was also there last year for around 4 months for rehab. They have great, loving aides, and competent nurses. They do a nice job. Manor Court of Rochelle is a nursing home located within the campus of Liberty Village of Rochelle. Mom is in a private room. They have games, bingo, and puzzles. They also have a rehab room and a beautiful gym."

"We would have chosen San Gabriel for my dad, but the only problem is that it’s so far from where my dad is. So far from all the places that we’ve looked at, this was the nicest. The place seemed very clean, and everybody was hospitable. Their price was also reasonable as well. "

"This is a great place for your loved one. When we toured the facility with Mary she was a delight. A staff member in business clothing was mopping the floor I asked who that was. Mary said thats our administrator. Wow!! Thats amazing to see. Administrators typically hide in their office not this one. The CNAs are caring and respectful to the residents. Not sure how they can do this job it's not easy. Managers care and they listen to our questions. Now having a family member here I can say the nursing team never makes us feel like a burden. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. It never smells like a typical nursing home (if you know what I mean). My family member loves the food! Don't look anywhere else. You'll regret not putting your loved one here."
