"It looked nice. The layout was pretty much like all of them, the apartments were down the hallway. So there's not much of a difference, but the staff was nice and helpful."

"My mom moved to The Oaks Manor. They are all very kind and they treat everybody like family. The food is great there, it's geared for older people. It's light, it's not heavy, it's homemade. They're just very caring people. They do have people that come in and play the piano, and they do have bingo. They do have other people that come in and do music and things like that. They do have a church service. They have puzzles and books. They have movie nights and popcorn and different things like that."

"Villas of Holly Brook Marshall was set up very nicely, and it's handicap accessible. They have help with anything that you need like medication and baths. The dining area was set up, so that they would have four people at a table, and the tables were not close together, but they're not real far apart either. So, if you wanna discuss things with people at the next table, you could, but it's still got room for people in wheelchairs to move through. The staff was very helpful and answered questions well."

"My parents were welcomed and cared for by the staff here. This is a difficult stage in life with no perfect answers. It is a difficult job to care for so many individuals each with their own personalities. I appreciate the care and concern that the staff of The Glenwood gave to my parents."

"I have lived here for about a year and a half. I have enjoyed it immensely. Very friendly people live and work here. I recommend it for people 65 years old and older. We get three meals a day plus snacks. We get activities that are great. We have exercise programs for 45 minutes at least 2 times a week. There is also bingo and occasionally we will get entertainment from the community. That is great and very enjoyable. We have sing a longs and bell choir. During the holidays, the staff is wonderful in surprising us with different kinds of activities that we don't do on a regular basis. We also have someone come in to do chair yoga with us. To me, it is a great place to live. The staff is very helpful. "

"Odd Fellow - Rebekah Home was a larger facility and it had two different Alzheimer's wards, a general population ward, private rooms and semi-private rooms. They also had a courtyard and four different dining facilities in the building. I found it to be very attractive, and my wife spent her last living days there. The two Alzheimer's wards had one for the more severely impaired from a cognitive perspective and the regular ward, which was for people that were ambulatory, could get by by themselves, and required less attention. Both of them were very nice and had their own private dining facilities, television, games, activities, entertainment. They had a full-time person that came in and played games with them and taught them how to use rubber hammers to help them with their manual dexterity, roll rubber balls back and forth to them, and walked with them around the facility. The facility was very good and laid out nicely for walking. "

"Carriage Crossing Senior Living of Arcola is a very nice facility inside and out. Our experience so far is the staff tries to do the best they can with the people there. My wife seems to enjoy the food, which is a little bit better than where she was. She has started doing a puzzles. She seems very happy there. The facility is excellent and the staff's attitude toward my wife is good. She's doing OK. We're happy when she's happy."

"Eberhardt Village is a very nice facility. The people that are running it are very caring, and it's very clean. It's beautiful and very well-cared for. It is a very nice place to be and not a depressing place at all. There is no pool and because of COVID I cannot tour inside. When I visited my mother, they brought her out into their informal living room to meet me. Their food is according to what the residents can eat; so they have a particular food for a particular patient. Maybe it is kind of bland, but that's where they are in life in this kind of environment which is memory care. They get their meals on time."

"My mom moved here. Everything about the community is inviting, friendly, and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They treat my mom like family. They have an outdoor area. They have a gym. They have a library. She's a smoker, so she does have access to smoking areas. They have a monthly schedule of activities. I chose it, first and foremost was the location and the small community feel."
