"Eden Supportive Living Champaign was right across the street from a park and it's close to the downtown area where people could go shopping or go out to eat. It's a pretty nice location. The staff was very helpful. They would be doing apartment cleaning, and assistance with showers, medicine, and laundry. The room looked kinda like a hotel when you walked into it. It was very nice and clean. It had a front desk area, then the rooms were in the back. Everything was good from what I could tell. The people that work there were very helpful with the whole process even though we didn't end up going there. They made it easy to get the paperwork done and such."

"My mother's longtime friend Betty H. from Champaign, Illinois, is a current resident of Prairie Winds. She has been in new the facility for approximately six months. The center is only a few years old. I visited the center in late August of 2011, and I was impressed with the cleanliness of the outside and inside of the building. Inside the center it was organized to the needs of the residents. There were excersise rooms for therepy and rooms for entertainment. The staff were very friendly, caring and knowledgeable about the residents medical needs. I was informed that they offer a bus service for the residents to hospitals and Dr.'s offices nearby and various local shopping areas. They supplied transportation for Betty to attend a funeral service of a friend. She just has to notify the staff that she needs transportaion to an from an appointment. I noticed that Betty had her own kitchenette in her apartment, which I thought was an important detail for her independence. The staff also check her medicines daily and ask if there are any questions. I would highly recommend this facility to any family researching extended stay care centers. "

"This facility claims to be the "premier" retirement/assisted living community, a claim that I find very likely to be true. It is located just outside of Champaign/Urbana, and has lots of open, green spaces around it. Depending on the personality of the occupant, the nicely landscaped lawns and gardens may or may not be important, but it certainly was appealing to my family, as we tend to be outdoor people and enjoy spending time together while walking. The campus actually has two different parts a pure retirement community and an assisted living portion. Both of which share the community amenities such as the dining hall, library, lounge, etc. What most appealed to me as a medical professional was the quality and amount of nursing and personal assistance care that the residents receive. I was completely comfortable with the capability of the staff to help with basic needs such as medications and physical therapy and also trusted their judgment in more serious medical emergencies.The downside to this quality care is that the facility is quite expensive relative to its competitors in the area. There is also a waiting list to get in, so ultimately my family had to look elsewhere. "

"It is great and my mother likes it. She likes to go out on their outings and she also likes the food. Their staff is very friendly and their dining area and facilities are clean. One of their amenities that they have is a library, it's a brand-new building. The staff is good, my mom's room is also very clean."

"I visited Savoy Villas of Holly Brook. The staff seemed friendly. It was a bigger building than the other one was, so there were more people that were there. They had a nice dining area. They had a multipurpose area where you could do activities, but there weren't any going on at the time. The room had a bedroom, a living room, a small area with a microwave and a refrigerator, and an accessible bathroom. The facility was well maintained. They had a little cook's nook for the people. If they wanted to bake something, they had a little place where they could bake cookies or cakes."

"Autumn Fields was a beautiful place. Right now, they only have two people living there because they've just opened. It's going to end up housing around 75 or 80 people in there, and I thought that my mother needed a smaller place where she got more individual care. They had a closed-in courtyard and a lot of things going on in a center rec room. Most of the rooms were shared, and I didn't much care for that. My mother is a private person, and I don't think she would like that. It was very nice and very pretty. There wasn't a whole lot going on, but we were shown where all things happen. It was OK, but I just didn't like that there are going to be too many people for my mother. I just think they need more individual care. "

"Eagle's View Supportive Living & Memory Care was surprisingly very nice. It's an old building, but everything was set up wonderfully. The meals were actually done when you want them, there's no set time so you can go down whenever, they tell the cook what you want and they will fix it, and you can eat whenever you like. They have craft areas, they have preachers come in, music groups come in, and they go on shopping trips. We did not feel comfortable leaving my friend in an upstairs apartment without a call button. Downstairs were all common areas, and the apartments were up on the second floor and above."

"My mother moved into the Villas of Holly Brook. Everything is very good, and we're pleased. It's a brand-new facility, her room is very nice, and the food is excellent. I ate there for lunch today. She was putting together puzzles, they had a nice video show on Sunday, and a Bible study this morning. It was everything we wanted."

"I really like The Villas of Holly Brook. They have a nice apartment with one bedroom, one bath, and a kitchen area. "

"We're in the process of getting my friend into the Gibson City Villas of Hollybrook. We chose this because the location is convenient for them. I felt that the staff members were very good, they made it feel like it was personal to him. My friend and his wife did a different tour with their granddaughter. They tried the food and thought it was very good. The facility was very, very nice, it's still kind of new and not that old, it looks pretty modern, and the facilities were very nice."
