Continuing Care Retirement Communities Communities in Savoy, IL

"I'm currently a resident of Windsor of Savoy. It's very nice. It's clean. It's a little bit on the expensive side. I have a full kitchen. I have a two-bedroom unit. There is a living room in the middle. It works out very nicely. It's very good. The staff are always very helpful. They provide breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30. They also provide a full dinner meal between 4:30 and 6:30. They have plenty of places to walk and plenty of activities to take part in if you want to. They play cards in the afternoon. There is always music from the community on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00. It's very nice. The activities are very good if you choose to take part in them. It's an excellent place to be."

"We visited Clark-Lindsey Village and they don't have assisted now. They just have independent living and if you need skilled help, then they move you. There are two other buildings on site, but it's not part of what we looked at. That was a 5 all the way around. It was top of the line. They said they would have assisted living probably in about a year or a year and a half. They had everything, i.e., activity rooms, a swimming pool for water aerobics, outdoor space for walks, and a garden lot. I would move in there. It was so nice. I just don't think it would've been a fit for my relative because she needs assistance. You can work with their staff and they can help you find somebody to come in and help, but then you're not only paying to live there, but you're also paying for homecare, too, so that just didn't fit."

"This community is clean and workers are friendly. The community is well laid out with ample parking and even small yards. The designs inside the community building are clean and inviting. The hallways are wonderfully decorated with flowers and there is ample space to move around with walkers or wheelchairs. When there are any problems that arise the staff takes care of it quickly and efficiently. Overall a very friendly and welcoming environment for elderly with many accommodations for their various needs. "

"My parents moved into Accolade Healthcare Paxton Senior Living. So far, talking with them on the telephone, answering my questions, getting back to me, has been fantastic. We took Mom and Dad up recently, and the nurses that came out and got them, and the lady that took their clothes and took some information from me were very nice and very reassuring. I've only seen the front and the reception area. It's an older building, but it looks well maintained. It's very clean in the area that we were at, and they had sanitizer and wipes right there, so they were ready to do what needed to be done. They're in quarantine, so they're not yet going to the dining room or anything."
