"Piatt County Nursing Home is located in the heart of a lovely well groomed neighborhood in Monticello, Illinois. It has an excellent, caring, patient, attentive staff who all seem to enjoy their jobs. You can choose from a private room, a semi private room with two beds, or a three bed room. All these types of rooms are very nice and very clean with their own bathrooms and large windows that look out onto beautiful, well maintained gardens and grounds. The nursing, dietary, social activity, business office, janitorial, and maintenance staff are all very kind, diligent and helpful. The nursing staff especially are very patient even with the most difficult resident. They all get to know every resident on a very personal level and genuinely care about every one of them. They work very hard to help the residents feel at home. The rooms and hallways are very clean, well decorated, and festive for every holiday. The food choices are nutritious and special needs are accommodated. Residents are gently encouraged to socialize in a variety of daily activities, but are respected when they choose not to. They have several wheel chair swings in shaded areas outside as well as garden areas designed for patients to be able to enjoy the outdoors. This nursing home has successfully avoided the cold, institutional look and feel of most nursing homes by hiring such caring, warm, patient, attentive employees."

"Tuscola is very clean, and the help is very caring. The ratio of help to residents is good. They have a lot of activities for the residents; musical entertainments come in, they have bingo, and they have wine tasting. They either have private rooms or double rooms, and it’s all nice. Every room has a window, and the bathrooms are connected. My mother has a large private room, and it’s convenient to where I live."

"My father was in a nursing home at Country Health Care & Rehab. It was top of the line. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's clean and just overall very nice place. They had a chapel, and there were two units. It's a very safe and nice place. They were all very helpful and answered all of our questions. They met his needs and anything that we needed. They were very generous and helped us. We were satisfied."

"My wife stayed at Arthur Home for 1 night. It was an expensive overnight, but they did well. They had bingo and daytime TV. The food was fine. It was private pay and that was the most expensive option you can get -- which cost a couple hundred dollars -- but it was worth the money."

"My parents moved into Accolade Healthcare Paxton Senior Living. So far, talking with them on the telephone, answering my questions, getting back to me, has been fantastic. We took Mom and Dad up recently, and the nurses that came out and got them, and the lady that took their clothes and took some information from me were very nice and very reassuring. I've only seen the front and the reception area. It's an older building, but it looks well maintained. It's very clean in the area that we were at, and they had sanitizer and wipes right there, so they were ready to do what needed to be done. They're in quarantine, so they're not yet going to the dining room or anything."

"My mother was at Heartland of Paxton for rehab. The therapists would come, get her from her room, and do the rehab both in individual and group settings. The nursing care was good too. It was a very pleasant experience for her. She had been there before for some other surgeries and her mother had been there as well. So for her, it was kind of like going home, because she got to know a lot of the staff. Generally, there were two people to a room. It did have a bathroom, but it didn't have the other facilities. They had their meals there, too."
